There's been more than a few of those this season.....I'm really surprised it didn't just say "Tell him off"

Yeah, that bait and switch was pretty hilarious.

  • That would've made it even more so.

Why is everyone so easily offended in the telltale community?

  • If Clementine and Carl. Though I could see Gabe fancying Carl too. Since Carl is more of a man boy than Gabe dreams to be.

Are you talking about Carl and Gabe or Carl and Clementine? Or hopefully, just Clementine?

Honestly, if it was two, I was thinkin more along the lines of this.

Those scenes were great in FMA and FMAB

  • I wonder if that brief moment in Brotherhood was a callback to this, since I doubt it happened in the manga.

Badger's death should have played out like this.

I agree with @Chibikid. Ben was just better written and more memorable than Nick

  • Nick was no better written than any of the others. He is even less so if you saved Pete because you don't get that scene and time with Nick locked in that building together. The only thing we know about Nick is that he had to shoot his mum and that he and Luke were friends for 20 odd years and had a business together. Its not a lot to be classed as good development. They just got Ben right though in my book

You also learn that he's got a chip on his shoulder because his dad walked out on them and Pete stepped in to raise him with some discipline and/or tough love, hence why the two didn't get along very well.
This included an incident where Nick was taken on a hunting trip but couldn't bring himself to shoot a deer; Pete later killed it on a solo trip and Nick apparently wouldn't speak to him for a while afterwards.
The business he went into with Luke is may be why he knows how to make rum.

  • I'd think so, considering he's the only one with any complex characterization, a detailed backstory, connections to major characters, a dedicated arc across more than one episode, and a noticeable change of heart/attitude/ after certain events. Most characters only got two or three of these, with characterization and backstory often being minimal.

The problem with him in my opinion is that he got all this despite being a sidekick character with little to no ties to the main plot that was going on and his deaths prevented him from leaving a decent impact on anything in some playthroughs due to almost everything related to it being gone and not getting to do much of note outside of partially instigating the Kenny and Luke rivalry and the implications of his canon death. It probably would've been better in the long run in they simply cut him early on and use that time to develop other characters.

    Y'know, A New Frontier season 2. That thing that's totally happening? :^)

  • You'd think that helicopter would go over the edge, right? Somebody is pulling a ben here.

I can't... I just can't take anything seriously anymore about anything ever again. This shit is so beyond the realm of plausibility, I... I don't even know... For the first time, I got nothing...
