Definitely Gabe's, no question about it. Kate's offscreen death was lazy and David's onscreen death was sad, but not on Gabe level.
Just watching him slowly die covered in blood while it rains makes it extremely hard to watch. Add Clem and Javi crying and Gabe telling Javi he was a good Father to him, it makes it even harder.
Very true, although Javi's scream when he shot Kate got to me.
Gabe's death had that TWD feeling that I haven't had since Duck and Lee.
Classic tragedy. It was a lot more meaningful imo.
Me too. But seeing Clem cry like when Kenny died got to me much much more.
Yeah it did remind me of Duck sitting next to the tree
gabe's death was very impactful for a lot of people. ive seen people that hated his guts that said they felt bad and actually cried
Reading the comments, I kinda want Gabe to die only to experience this. The last time I caught myself crying was when Kenny said his goodbye to Clem in Wellington ending, I wonder if ANF can make me emotional at all.
It's probably because they somehow managed to turn his character around in the span of an episode (seriously HATED his guts when he told Tripp about Conrad, but I did feel sad.)
I think that might've been what they were going for, now that I think about it. Either way, it was effective.
Gabe's death was the most impactful obviously. There was an option to shoot him yourself or let him shoot himself. Also, Javi's and Gabe's last goodbyes nearly brought tears into my eyes and I'm sure lots of others too.
David's death was also very sad, if you get the ending where you find David who just got bit and has blood out pouring out his throat but he's still alive. That one was especially sad compared to the more common ending where you just find him dead in the car.
As in comparison, Kate died off screen. We only had to put her down since she was a walker. Sure, it was sad and especially sad when you hear Javier cry out in pain, but we didn't have any sort of emotional goodbye speech or something like that with her. It was literally just shooting her down. That's it. Sad as hell, but obviously not just as sad compared to Gabe & David.
Also, what's even more sad about David's on-screen death is his last words. "Te quiero, Gabriel. Te quiero, Mariana. Te quiero, Javier." Te quiero is Spanish and it just means "I love you". Made my goddamn heart melt.
Well, I think that's what happens when the character is not only just a confused kid, but one that actually had quite a bit going on with him despite still being pretty tame.
How do you get to see David onscreen death.
Gabe's. I haven't actually seen anything implying a death scene for David, though I doubt it'll leave much of an impact with me personally.
Kate's is just short of being a total case of "Wtf?".
Choose Save David & Gabe instead of Save Richmond...
I think Clem can't go with you though.
Wow, I had no idea David had an on-screen death scene! Those last words sound heartbreaking too.
Honestly, I think my favorite one was the one where you find David already dead, and bury his dog tags. It's sad, but at the same time, there's some level of heartwarming to it as well; even if David died, he got the kind of death he wanted-- a soldier's death.
Thanks pal
Also in the same death when Kate leaves her ring on the grave I thought was a nice moment.
Yeah, I definitely prefer that one as well.
I feel like Clementine's new hairdo might cause some emotions.
cough cough seizures.
Gabe's death hit me straight in the heart. I felt nothing for David and Kate.
it really did
clem died
but HER STORY WILL CONTINUE IF YOU BUY OUR NEW SEASON "CLEM ADVENTURE PASS"
i'm kinda upset that they had to kill him after he 180'd though. he still had a lot of potential. like my favorite moment of him is when he puts down his father and doesnt even cry. damn he deserved better
felt more like lee honestly
does somebody have the david on screen death video?
Well he is determinant so hopefully he gets some more moments in season 4/dlc (can't believe I'm actually wanting more Gabe, gg telltale)
but the cheapest part of all of this is that javi is the only nondeterminant survivor and he might not even appear in the next installment. like if they just made gabe/kate live with javi and then have them all leave richmond together so that they could actually find him, it would be much more impactful. or, they couldve not had the garcia family at all and had a clem based season
Although if he does appear in a further installment it would be a blessing in disguise for him to be the only one. I mean look at this season, a whole gaggle of side characters with almost none of the relationships fleshed out. Clem with Javi as a sidekick would simplify it all and give us more development. I'd take it over the tangled mess we got this season.
GABE NOOOOO!! DON'T DIE I LIKED U SINCE THE BEGINING EVEN IF YOU WERE A LITTLE SHIT (just like me tbh) WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME THE LEE FEELS GODDAMMIT GABE
