Amazing episode, thank you Telltale! (Spoilers) What ending did everyone choose?

  • I stepped up and took charge of Richmond, I never got the option to tell Gabe/Clementine what I thought of them, Gabe is dead (although I wanted both him and Kate to live), I stuck with Kate to the end and we are starting a family, Clementine is still on the search for AJ.

I had David and Kate die and Gabe lives, while my Clementine became a free spirit.

  • It seems awfully defensive to be calling him a sheep.

Yep, it sure sucks NOT to be a sheep.

  • To each there own, I suppose. I've never really played TT for the gameplay though. The story got me invested in the characters and I enjoyed myself. Little else matters to me.

It truly baffles me how people can hate this game so much. Yes it isn't nearly as good as season 1, but it isn't as shit as a lot of people

  • I got the ending with Gabe and David dying but Kate lives. Personally, I love this ending because of the meaningful meaning behind it and Gabe's death is a lot better than Kate's offscreen death and David's onscreen one.

  • replayed the episode on different save file. saved kate in one and gabe/david in the other.

    the bad:

I disliked a lot of it. the pacing was an issue. David's character turned into a chaotic mess even if you treated him well throughout the season. there was very little payoff for getting on his good side.

ava's fake death was a joke. they didnt even pause to process it. just skipped to mourning.

eleanor. she blamed me and i couldnt slap her

    clint and max status

    no AJ

no payoff for joan if you choose not to shoot her

    the good:

a lot of justice was done to gabe's character. got a lot of respect for him. same with kate

    javi's bi moment

having that one guy I didnt shoot show up again

    conrad surviving

  • "no payoff for joan if you choose not to shoot her"

Really? So now I'm even happier that I offed the b without hesitation.
I also wanted to shoot everyone who was like, "WHY, HOW COULD YOU DO IT?!??!? Joan held the key to ending everything peacefully, IDIOT!"
Yeah, the b who killed in cold blood repeatedly was born to be the leader of that place. Shuuuut the eff up.

  • Went to save David/Gabe while Clem helped Kate, so now I'm just with Gabe.

  • I'm surprised at a lot of these endings. I didn't know that Gabe and/or Kate could even die in these stories.
David died in mine, which was no surprise.
I rejected all of Kate's advances throughout the story then denied that I ever touched Kate (the truth) yet David punched me.
I predicted all of that Kate/David/Javy stuff literally months ago because Telltale is so predictable when they're trying to ram a story down your throat.
"I never touched her." "LIAR!" (punch) Yaaaaawn.
In the end for the Clementine thing I received, "Uncompromising, Unstoppable, Unbitten." I'm proud of it.
Also, in the end, when I was thinking about finally giving in to Kate's near-rapes because David was dead, she said something like, "keep your distance from me."
My response: "With pleasure." B move on her part. So in the next scene it starts with her doing a brushing "get away from me" motion with her hand as Javy and her smile at each other. Bizarre.

Same here, shot Gabe. Honestly, didn't feel a think. I cried when Lee died, hated putting down Kenny, and felt good running off with AJ at the end of Season 2. Call me a monster, but I had no trouble shooting Gabe after seeing him bit.

I had Gabe and David die in my game and the scene was really emotional.

  • My ending:
    Kate is missing.
    Gabe is alive.
    David is dead.

  • I was loyal to David to the end. I refused to fight back and Clem and I went after Gabe. Kate died. David came back. So Javi, Gabe, and David are in Richmond. I told Clem not to worry about Gabe.

  • I was really impressed with this episode. I loved how the Clementine you chose before the game; survival, self-reliance, justice, and community as well as your relationship with her actually affects what ending you get. I was so worried on how they would wrap up Javi's story as well as the AJ arc. I think telltale made a wise decision on making episode 5 conclude Javi's story. And are giving the Clementine and AJ arc the attentino it deserves with making it it's own thing whether it is a dlc, mini series like Michonne, or season 4.

  • Having more gameplay allowed us to go around and do stuff, we could speak to every character, ask them optional questions which could add more interesting things to the story and get more background into the types of people they are. How can i grow attached to any of the Season 3 characters when they take this away from the game? I felt more attached to Chuck than anyone else in this ANF game and Chuck wasn't around for that long!

  • wow, I cried like a baby when I saw him bitten. I really loved this episode. It had emotional moments, the choices really mattered from previous episodes or season. Overall I am really content with the season we got. :)

  • LMAO I thought it was a secret ending because it happened on my second play through.

Same! I exited to the main menu because I thought my Javi was a fucking goner LMAO I had Lee war flashbacks

  • Agreed

  • I really liked the episode... I just wish I had a different ending... David died, Gabe lived and Kate went missing. I wish I could've saved Kate... Anyway...

I loved the climax, I thought it was a great scene. "I love you!"
I'm happy Gabe survived, but incredibly disappointed at some of the character's fates. Namely: Clint, Max, Lonnie, Kate and Eleanor.

I'll stop here. I'll just say I thought this was a good episode, still can't help but feel disappointed though.

  • I haven't been this dissapointed in a game since AC: Syndicate.

    Pfft. Mass Effect: Andromeda called.

My ending: I shut the game of, punched a wall, looked at my collection of TellTale Games and then I died inside. I haven't been this dissapointed in a game since AC: Syndicate.

Episode 5 was Sad but it made me feel better with the cutscene with Clem at the end and telltale saying something like **cementines story continues **
Also is there an ending where u can save Kate and Gabe????.
Good job telltale by the way u did make me cry like always

  • Aw, the preferable ending!

  • Gabe's death is a lot better than Kate's offscreen death and David's onscreen one.

    Agreed.
