Reggie (S2) Lied?
Do you guys think the whole cutting arm off thing when bitten doesn't work? Even if it's fast, which is what Reggie told in S2? I mean with Lee and Rufus it didn't work and when we cut Sarita's arm off it was relatively fast but still didn't work either. This leaves me to think that Reggie lied about being bitten and that Carver helped him with his arm when a walker snuck up on him. I think he was punished by Carver when he tried to run away with Luke's group by getting his arm cut off and he wasnt actually bitten. And he was making up a story so the group would not see Carver as a even worse person than they saw him already. Or am i just talking total BS right now?

Have you even read the comics or watched the show? Of course cutting off the arm or limb works!
Reggie's amputation worked, because his arm got removed right after he got bit.
The other characters' amputations didn't work, because the infection was already gone long enough.
Sarita's amputation would have worked, but she screamed super fucking loudly which got the walkers to get attracted to her. Which ended up her getting bit.

Now I see how that would work out but if you ever watched the TV shows or read the comics many people have survived from thier arm being cut off. The people in the game either died from blood loss or got unlucky.

After Sarita lets out that majestic scream, 3 walkers come to bite her.
She would have probably survived the first bite, if she stayed quiet. But no, she screamed and that got the walkers' attention.

Well, in the comics (Which the games are set in the same universe as) a number of characters survive limb amputations following a bite.
Dude, I'm not saying it's not normal to scream when a person is having his/her fucking arm chopped off. All of us would scream if we had a body part of us chopped off.
I'm just saying that if she would have stayed quiet, she would have survived.
But she didn't and that's that. She was fucked right from the moment where the walker got his teeth onto her.
yeah its just that someone people act like she actually could have been quiet if Lee who s alot taller and stronger than her Couldnt then why would she be able to?

I'm not expecting anyone to stay quiet while having a fucking arm chopped off, that's just fucking stupid. Every single one of us would scream like a fucking psycho, if we had an arm chopped off.

This was a theory back in 2014 if I remember correctly.
I think Reggie was too sincere and simple-hearted to be able to hide such a lie and cover for Carver in front of his friends. Yeah, he was scared of Carver and wanted to earn his trust back, but I doubt he would play that poker face without raising any suspicion, it just doesn't fit his kind and skittish character.
Lee had a tourniquet to reduce blood loss, but he cut off the arm way too late after the infection already spread everywhere, Sarita would have probably died from bloodloss or at least be in coma/really shitty state even if she lived through the herd. (tv show spoilers)It worked for Hershel on the show(end spoilers), and Carver's community probably had an actual doctor and medical supplies. I think it's pretty believable for reggie to have survived.
