Leading a community would be a nice change. It would also give us a chance to make some major choices. I am sure if they limit the time spent on leading it will probably be easier to integrate with this seasons multiple endings.
i think it would be Nice doing a GOT- Esque thing with Some chapters Being about Clementine s journey to get AJ back and others spent with Javier Leading Richmond.
I thought the same thing. Maybe that can solve the short episode problem since we will have two stories. So long as they don't kill off all the determinants I'm sure it will be good.

Personally, I don't like it. Judging by how TT introduced/carried out their new story, basing its continuation on seemingly interesting concept only because it's fresh, will most likely doom this series instead of helping it.
In Starved for Help we have a tough moral choice of handing out food. It worked as a tough moral choice because we actually knew those people and had some history with them, felt attached or cared for some. Similar treatment wouldn't work in within the walls of a huge community, amongst people you don't know and those who have realistically no reason to let Javier be a moral advisor/leader/sovereign of their settlement. Javi shouldn't be the leader of Richmond only because he's a protagonist controlled by a player behind a screen. I refuse to digest this lack of logic.
Also I think managing people's pee or hunger level is something that should stay away from TWD and get back to Sims.
It wouldn't have to be Richmond and Javier, but I think it would be quite fun.
Think about it: you can still have a rival group, but before they show up you have some daily stuff to do. For example, do you send your scavengers out to the docks or the farms? Do your patrols focus immediately around in mass, or in the larger area alone? Who do you give food to (like in Starved For Help)? Build walls or get guns? Welcome people or kill them on site? Diplomacy or retaliation?
This would all impact the later episodes, as perhaps you are preparing an assault on the other group's compound and since you got barrels of gasoline from the docks, you can blow a hole in their wall. Maybe a herd is coming to your community and your patrols found them earlier since you sent them out further. That sort of thing is what I'm talking about. It would nice. Sort of like Ironrath in Game of Thrones.
I like your ideas, especially the rationing like in Starved for help. Not everyone would be happy with your decisions and someone is always going to be mad. This can lead the way to some real consequences. And others have mentioned a similarity to Game of Thrones as well. I am sure this would add a lot to the next season. I do hope its Javier though since I would like him to at least be a part of next season. It would seem rather out of place to remove him after only one season.

Hmm touché.
You're probably right, but I'm hoping if it's only a small part of the season then they could manage.
Yeah, perhaps.-

That sounds like a good way to do it. I don't mind multiple perspectives and think that would add to the story.

Yes, absolutely. Why the hell would they abandon Javi's story after just a season. I want to play as both Clem and Javi. Just like Rhys and Fiona.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the parallels to GOT. It would be fun for TT to try that
That would be really cool. I just hope all that power won't go to Javi's head. Since he is alive no matter what they can work with his character!
Sounds too good to be true, sadly.
I'm sure they can find a way but I know what you mean.
