  • season 1, no argument.

Season 1 will always be the best season. As I understand it, the team that worked on Season 1 have all left the company and no one there now puts in the same level of care and attention to detail that Season 1 had. Could also have something to do that TellTale was still a middling developer without any really big hits during Season 1 production and had a lot of time to devote to it but then they won Game of the Year for it, started getting IPs thrown at them left, right, and center and now they take on too many projects with too few staff so the quality suffers.

  • Season 1: The Best One.
    Season 2: The Mediocre One.
Season 3 (ANF):The One That Was Sent To Die.

    The majority rules: Season 1.

  • Season 1 is still the best, but it had a lot of problems, mainly the illusion of choice. I've never felt as cheated as when I found out Lilly pulled the trigger no matter what.
Regardless the writing was top notch however.

S1 definitely. However I didn't like the antagonist. It just didn't make sense. I'm talking about the stranger.
    S2. Was good
I'm conflicted about S3. It was good but could have been much better.

Season One was amazing and easily the best season so far.

Season Two was fun but had its ups and downs.

New Frontier was disappointing with it's bad writing and poor characters.

BONUS: I thought the Michonne mini-series was fun too only because of the villains Norma & Randall.

    Best: S1
    Don't mind/like/Would play again: ANF
    Really wouldn't play a second time: S2.

  • Season 2

  • Season fucking 2

  • I hated that. #Fuck Lily. The illusion of choice is real in season one I agree. I am not sure what Telltale did but it somehow got me attached to characters more than I felt in the next two games. I even started to like Ben in the end.

  • The stranger doesn't make sense only if you don't steal from the car.

  • Best: Season One
Very good (in my opinion): Season Two
    Meh: A New Frontier

  • favorite: season 1
    close second: ANF
    can die: season 2

  • WHAT IS THIS QUESTION? Of course, Season 1. :)

  • Season 1 > Season 2 >>>>>> ANF

  • What is this question? Its a total fact that season one is the best one no matter what does other poeple else thinks or what is opinions is, season one won the GOTY award with journey at the year he came out, and lee won the best video game character in 2012 against cortana from halo and vass from farcry and max pain from max pain 3 and and conor from assassing creed 3. That something non of season two or TNF did and it will never do.

  • 1>>>2>>>>>>>>3

  • Best: S1.
Worse but still a good game: S2
The game that shouldn’t exist: ANF

  • The group steals from the car regardless so you are guilty by association. Then Clem starts divulging your other decisions like if you killed in front of her so the Stranger decides you are a poor role model. He's one to talk...

  • Season 1. Amazing for your first walking dead game. Best writing, amazing characters. Great plot. Had da Yadda. But the illusion of choice though. My first play through, I made all of the choices that didn't make it shitty on how choices don't matter (although I saved Shawn first time). I saved Shawn first, still fucking stupid. I let girl shoot herself, went to dairy, killed Larry, etc. Did second play through and thought "mutha fucka, is didn't matter what I did, it has the same outcome." Still best season though.

  • Wut?

  • Season 1. There's no contest. There were so many emotionally charged scenes, the game was decently paced, there were lots of hubs and downtime for relationships and character development, main characters were nuanced and complex, minor characters had distinct personalities, there was a good amount of menace and suspense, the settings were cinematic. It felt like playing a movie, heck even being in a movie at times. The characters' struggles were so real I could get inside their heads.

I honestly can't decide whether season 2 or ANF is better. Season 2 had a better cast or let's just say the cast had more potential to be good. The Garcias were decent, but the ANF supporting characters felt more like aimless hanger-ons. ANF was a blast to play though unlike season 2 which stalls out after In Harm's Way before becoming a slap-dash race to the finish leaving character development and logic by the wayside. ANF suffers from being non-stop action and having next to NO hubs though. So it really is a toss up. I guess season 2 gets the (slight) edge for managing to still have some emotional resonance despite the writers' better efforts to negate their own characters' impact on the plot and each other. I found myself caring about the fates of most of the characters that had any amount of screen time (Luke, Sarah, Bonnie, Kenny, etc) while in ANF I could only bring myself to care about David and Kate.

Season One, hands down, but I played Season Two the most, mainly because it was much shorter than the former and thus easier to get through. That's only relevant because the bulk of my playthroughs took place when I might've been traveling long distances, etc (iOS). Not to mention the multiple endings, either.

Finally, I played both one more time each to prepare for ANF last December.
And Lee's death still breaks my heart, every damn time.

  • Season 1 RULES! the best by far.

  • Season 1 > Season 2.

Season 3 isn't even worth being compared to the first two seasons, considering how bad it was as a game of The Walking Dead franchise, but also as a Telltale game in general.

  • Sooo... We don't speak of season 3 then? I didn't mind it too much.

  • Best: S1
    Good: S2
    Shit: ANF

  • Season 2 > Season 1 > 400 Days DLC > Michonne Miniseries > TWDG Paintball > Clementine's Action Figure > A New Frontier

  • Even in spite of the player character being a child?

    Season 2

  • To supplement that Season One is the best, it is the only season with supplementary material that isn't a Road to Survival inclusion (unless you count the Season Two Clem figure, but she's from S1 and that was the only thing for S2).

  • Season 1 is the best, no doubt about that. It's my favorite Telltale game.

Season 2 is decent I guess, but I didn't enjoy playing it at all.

Season 3 (ANF) is pretty bad compared to the earlier seasons, but I still enjoyed playing ANF more than I enjoyed playing S2.

    1. Season 1, no contest
    2. ANF
    3. Season 2
      I haven't played Michonne.

When the season has the return of Kenny and has him as one of the major focuses of the season? Yes.

  • To anyone who says New Frontier is the best season of Walking Dead...

    enter image description here

    ...how could you?

  • What means "best" ?
    Scenario ?
    Gameplay ?
    Graphisms ?

Because I admit I have different point of view beyond all these 3, and it is hard to choose for me

  • How people like ANF better then Season 2 I will never understand.

  • I liked both equally.

Season One is obviously the best Season.

    Season Two is pretty good.

A New Frontier for me is so bad. if the main character would be Clem or Kenny's story after the season 2 (Obviously impossible), i like it more.

also you can't control the character movements to much, its like 400 days.
