Clementine and boys should they mix?

Sorry for the reading just hear me and I would love to hear your thoughts.

I hate to even think about it but even clementine must find a love eventually. Honestly though the only way they can do this is to finally make a not shit child/Teen. Give some suggestions on what you would accept for Clementine boyfriend.

Alright what sparks an intrest automatically? Trick question appearance. Make the dude look great, Clem looks perfect so anything less for him is unacceptable.

Next thing Telltale needs to not fuck up is the immediate intrest shit like with gabe and Clem. They need to be friends; I need to know the dude first. How can I trust him otherwise?

Please Telltale don't make them annoying. No rebellious bitch boy Gabe. Or a retarded child. Make him Clever, respectful, and a badass. Also level headed and reasonable, part of the reason I liked Carly in season 1 is the fact that she was a bold voice of reason.

A GOOD backstory, Let's get to know him a little, not... oh god not like they did with Gabe. Make him relateable to Clementine. This means possibly lots of loss, Having to survive on his own, etc.

Similar goals is necessary. I am not going to like a guy who is against what I am doing(Unless of course it is wrong). If he is against me explain it, not like Gabe's, "He's my dad you wouldn't understand."

They need to fill each others flaws. A relationship is like a puzzle piece. There is only two pieces but when one curves in the other is there to fill it in. Clem doesn't always see the consequences of actions he needs to be very mindful about actions and like I said be a voice.

Not gonna lie Telltale fucked up with Gabe. He was too damn awkward. Make this Character confident but not pushy. Friends first and not straight to a crush.

Basically dont make a Gabe and also tell me what I missed or something I said that was just stupid, let me know.

  • Well I'm personally perfectly content with Gabe.

  • The problem is that Gabe may be dead in some people's story so... Maybe not S4 but sometime there should be someone else.

  • I don't see the problem with Clementine dating someone. I find it more odd people are somewhat obsessed with the subject however.

  • So we'd need someone who's single, friends with Clem, with a good backstory, who'd complement Clem's flaws (probably an optimist and a people person), good looking, kind of a badass and experienced some kind of loss.
Heh, would you look at that...

  • It's possible. Javi but younger is basically all those things.

    no

  • If Telltale decides to try again with a romantic interest for Clem, they should build it up for a few episodes. Don't automatically have Clem like him the first second she lays eyes on him.

That's why Gabe and Clem didn't work out. It was too forced and rushed. That and it was cringy af and there's absolutely no chemistry between the two.

  • Eh... idk. Clem is the only non family girl Gabe has had any contact with since he hit puberty and Gabe is probably the only boy Clem's age that she has really dealt with since Duck. I think it's pretty expected for them to develop insta-crushes because they don't have a lot of options nor do they know how to deal with feelings like that.

  • Maybe they are the same age physically meaning, but Gave is an immature shitty teenage, when Clem have to find ressources to survive alone by herself she more adult than he would ever be ,
Their relation is so forced !
I'd like to se if there is a way to calculate how many hours they really ( in actual real time) are gathered in the same place !
In my game it shouldn't be more than 3 full hours maybe more, it is why that relationship is so stupid and forced

  • Speak for yourself. I'm all into the Javi/Kate romance.

  • The brothers' bound was thousand time more interesting than that pseudo romance

Speak for yourself. I'm all into the Javi/Kate romance.

  • I think she needs someone to bring a little fun to her life, and make her do crazy teen stuff. Not teen enough to put themselves in danger, but, idk, sit next to a fireplace and talk about school or fighting over the last bar of chocolate. And annoying jokes. She really needs some annoying jokes to relax. Plus, someone a little more innocent than her. Someone that can take care of themselves, but wouldn't like to pull the trigger, and tries to get Clem to act a little less violent. And quirky, like, listens to weird music when driving or some shit like that, but again, not enough to be dangerous. And someone tha we care about, not only Clem. And start as friends, not as lovers out of the blue. Yeah, that.

  • I fully agree with this!!! ^^^^^^

Yeah I think I saw something on here about why Gabe is a great character because he literally 'completes' Clem, because he reminds and actually let her experience of what life would look like if the apocalypse didn't happen.

  • Knowing Telltale, they'll probably make her lesbian like they made Javi bisexual.

  • TLDR

Clem was friends with Duck back in S1, then in S3 she became friends with Gabe. Now i wouldn't rly ship those two together per séy, but i think she's better off on her own without a guy by her side tbh. i mean look how much she's grown! :O Heck, she left Richmond at the of episode 5 in search of aj all on her own. So i think she'll be fine. ^.^

  • As long as they don't FORCE it like what they did with Gabe. It would also have to be with someone who actually has LEGIT Chemistry with Clem.

  • Javi is Bisexual?

Knowing Telltale, they'll probably make her lesbian like they made Javi bisexual.

  • Same. Though I didn't really care for Gaybentime one way or another.

  • The episode writer revealed it. And there's a whole thread about a page or two back. Where have you been?

    Javi is Bisexual?

  • I never cared one way or the other, though what they did to poor Gabe doesn't exactly encourage me.

  • I don't think it is needed, but if there MUST be a romantic interest, then...

I would like to see a guy on his early-mid teens that had been taking care of his younger siblings after getting separated from their parents. Maybe their siblings are still alive, maybe not, doesn't matter - what matters is that this kind of experience would make him more mature despite his age. Perhaps he is one of the people taking care of AJ since David sent him away.

I don't want to see him saving Clem all the time, I don't want to have to save him all the time as Clem, I want to see some mutual help. He doesn't have to be a badass that jumps into combat all the time and has some sick moves, just someone that does what needs to be done without complaining about it, someone that had to grow up because of the circumstances, like Clem.

And it should be portrayed as companionship for most of the season. No rushing things.

  • I don't see why not.

I actually came up with a discussion about such a character. An Idea For Clem DLC.

Okay so most people agree with everything I said. One thing I must point out that I never mentioned but is a great Idea is he needs to be fun. They need to do teen stuff like talking by a fire or just playing games together. Also make him funny and chill asf because Clementine needs to chill out. Thank you RavenSnowStorm for that wonderful suggestion.
