An Idea For Clem DLC and New Male Character: Second Half of Part 1

edited June 2017 in The Walking Dead

This Idea For Clem DLC builds off of some ideas that me and Gohan FGC have been tinkering with. It's suppose to be 3 Parts/Episodes long. The main Character is obviously Clementine, but it also focuses heavily on a new Male character with a similar upbringing to Clem; Chester. This is the Second half of the First Part/Episode that I've come up with. I had said in a previous thread that Chester had personal qualities similar to Luke, Jesus, and Clem. However he also has his quirks. When it comes to dealing with the loss of loved ones, he experiences a level of aggression similar to that of Kenny (Or possibly Gabe at the start of ANF). Even in this state of mind, however, Chester manages to keep one foot in reality while he's venting.

First, We get a flashback to just before Lee meets Clementine. Clem had heard someone banging on her door. It was the same person who had led the bandits in the present day. Clem had went to get the babysitter thereafter, but the babysitter had turned. She went outside to hide in her treehouse when she heard a car crash out in the distance. And well...she met Lee.

Back to the present. Clem, AJ, and Chester are running through the woods to get away from the bandits. Once the bandits lose their trail, three of them take a moment to catch their breath while sitting next to a tree, Chester quickly gets up and conveys a plan to set up camp nearby for the night. Clem is worried about him not being emotionally stable. She tries to ask him if he's okay, but Chester refuses to talk about what happened. Once they find a good spot to set up, Clem sets AJ down and looks for fire materials. This is where a hub would be.

Here Clem looks around for firewood. Meanwhile, Chester opts to defend the area by holding off walkers using his Machete and the Knee Breaker move. For a moment however, Chester lets his aggression get the better of him as he stomps a walker's head into nothing after he had already killed it. Clem tells Chester that he should take it easy, but then Chester kicks what's left of the skull away. After that, Clem goes back to setting up the fire. Chester asks her if she needs a lighter. He give her one, and she uses it to light the fire. With that settled, Chester takes the time apologise for his aggressive attitude.

After a short conversation, Chester takes out a hip flask of Alcohol and drinks some of it. At this point, the player has a choice of either accepting the alcohol or not accepting it. Clementine then uses the moment to ask Chester why he chose to help her over his mom when he barely even knew her. Chester remarks that he'd been in situations like that before and that he understood the risks ahead of time. People die a lot now a days and he couldn't save everyone.

Clem then goes on to tell Chester that she knew the guy who led the attack on the compound. It was her own biological father who she hadn't seen since just before meeting Lee, the same man who banged on her front door back at her old home. Chester realises that this was why Clem was so terrified to see the man when he showed up. Chester soon offers Clem more of the drink, but she refuses to take it a second time.

The Final Choice of the Episode comes the next morning as Chester receives a message from his walkie. It was his 9-year-old sister who was STILL ALIVE and trying to speak to him. Chester asks her where she is and from her description he can plainly tell that she is at the Slaughterhouse. Chester decides that he needs to go after her as she is the only family he has left. Now Clem has a choice of either going with Chester now to the Slaughterhouse or Dropping off AJ back in Richmond and meeting back up with Chester later on. If she chooses to go with him, the episode ends off with all of them looking out at the Slaughterhouse. If not, it ends off with Chester at the Slaughterhouse. To be Continued...

  • Chester..hmm that name sounds familiar.

  • Gohan FGC came up with it. I just filled in the blanks. This is just the second half of the original discussion btw.
