Jesus DLC?

from what i saw of jesus in ANF, i really love jesus as a character. he's still got strong morals and can kick ass, and i'd love to see some of his story in a DLC like michonne and get to know more of him and his community. your thoughts?

  • If you want to see more of Jesus you should read the comics.

  • Good idea. I'd like to see what has he done with the gold Wise Men brought.

Yes. He is a main character in the comics. If you want to get to know his character the best thing to do is start reading some of the comics. As far as a DLC about him there really isn't a whole lot of room for one. He's been in the comics since before the Saviors war and has stayed pretty close to the communities ever since then.

Really the only gap in time with his character was pretty much explored already in ANF.

  • ah, honest ignorant mistake from me then. i'm not that educated on the comics so i didn't know the size of his role in them. i'll definitely go find somewhere to read the comics.

  • It could work. Jesus past is unknown and It is said in the comics that he showed up at the Hilltop (the community that he lives in) approximately one year after the outbreak started, meaning we have one year of content that they could do.

That being said, Kirkman has stated that he plans on exploring Jesus' backstory in the future, so I don't think that'll happen in the games.

  • I would like a mini series of him like Micchone. He’s one of my favorite characters in TWD universe.

Every issue is right there. Jesus doesn't show up for a while, but it's best to start at the beginning.

  • He's got comics and TV series, please keep him off the game, it was ridiculous to bring him here to begin with.

  • read the comics lol

  • thank you for the link! i've been looking everywhere to find them.

  • I agree with you it should have been a character like Andrea or Magna, Jesus in the game was to appease people who watch the Show because Jesus is somewhat big to them now

It needed to be a character that would have fit the time and location of where ANF takes place.

Neither Magna or Andrea would have fit. Magna was originally from Richmond but left almost immediately once the apocalypse began. She started heading north because the radio was telling people they would be safer around the D.C. area. They didn't make it though and ended up holding up at a nursing home somewhere inbetween Richmond and D.C. She stayed there for several years and her and a group of people left because things were starting to get really bad at that location. They countinued to migrate further north until they were right on the outskirts of D.C and that is when the comic picks back up. So Magna appearing in the game would not have jived with what has been said about her backstory.

As far as Andrea she really became second in command of the communities and there is no evidence that she ever strayed too far away from Rick.

Jesus was one of the very few characters that would have fit in the game as he has been known to travel to other communities in the comics.

  • I agree with OP I'd like to learn more about Jesus, but I am a gamer not a comics reader, specially with a comics books which has already so many issues

  • To be honest though the comics story is far far better than the story in the TellTale series. If you liked the story TellTale is telling you would probably really like the comic. I admit it is quite a project to take on considering how far along they are in the story now. But a story you would definitely enjoy if you are willing to put in the time to read it.

  • Like sony12 said, but I'll elaborate, ANF takes place in the 2 year time gap between Negan's defeat and the comics picking back up. The others you mentioned wouldn't make sense but Jesus is basically the lead scout of the communities so it makes perfect sense that he'd be out looking for other people and communities to ally with or be wary of. That's exactly his job in the comics.

  • He doesn't need one. He's always at the Hilltop, helping Maggie run the place. If you want to know more about Jesus, read the comics or watch the TV show. I recommend the comics.

  • eh... Jesus is based in Hilltop but she hasn't needed his help running the place for a long time. He's basically their primary scout now.
