S1 Clementine, S2 Clementine or ANF Clementine?
Personally, I loved Clementine in ANF much more than in the previous seasons, she was not helpless anymore and more badass. I loved her cuteness in Season 1 but I didn't really care much for her in Season 2. Your thoughts?

season 2. season 3 clementine is not the clementine that players created, she's a generic badass and falls head over heels for a boy.
This.
Season one clem is the clem

Season 1 obviously. She was alright in Season 2 Episode 1, but after that.....nope.
Season 2, it was great to see Clementine on her own and observe the change she goes through as the season passes by; it's also interesting to decide whether to carry on Lee's morality or to get rid of them and allow Clem to be her own survivor. Here I wish again the game let us side with Carver and stay at Howe's.
One but s2 Clem is ok aswell but s3 Clementine is awful until ep 5
S2. I love S1 Clem, she was adorable, but it was S2 that really defined her. ANF was just a horrid shit on fans of the previous seasons, where "your" Clementine is a footnote at the end of the game based on her apparently being completely influenced by some random white guy trying to speak Spanish and the decisions he's made over the weekend they knew each other(despite her being absent for a good amount of time when he made those decisions). Dafuq? Seriously though, they knew each other for what, 3 days? How the fuck does that define her compared to the length of time season 1 encompassed, and actually developing her through choices in season 2?
It was also great to see Clem be relegated to a backseat observer by the time No Going Back (from this Shit) was released...
Essentially making her a prop for two of the most boring characters' feud ever to be displayed so blatantly.

I like every version of Clementine for one reason for each:
Season 1- Her innocence and impact on the story
Season 2- Her character development
Season 3- Her design
But if I really had to choose, I'd prefer Season Two Clementine.
ANF clem
Season 2 no doubt. Fantastic social skills, a lot of charm, great chemistry with the best and main character of the series (Kenny) and Jane (who was also very important to the quality of the game). Season 1 was good but a little limited because she was so young. Season 3 version was garbage. I hope that they bring back the longer episodes and a more grown up version of the season 2 version of Clementine in future installments.
Season 1. Sure, she was still only a small kid, but she had her role and you could truly find yourself caring for her. The dynamic between her and Lee felt very real, and it was always easy to invest in Clementine's personal troubles without it coming across forced. She actually impacted the plot and was shown to be an important character, despite the restrictions in her age.
Season 2: As protagonist, Clementine changed, in my view, for the worst. She became emotionless and it become more difficult to invest in her due to that. I don't know if it was intentional how the voice actress had chosen to do the role that time around, but most of her lines were delivered very monotone, and it put me off. Not to mention, Clementine's role in the game was less impactful as opposed to season 1- she ended up just being an observer to the actions of others, like Kenny and Jane, without really contributing, and it was almost as though this wasn't even her story. And when she did have a role, it felt forced and unrealistic, where Clementine, an 11 year old, would do things that surely the adults would be doing.
A New Frontier: From the very start of the game, it's clear that Clementine was just shoehorned into the story to please the fans. She has little to no role outside of the AJ subplot, which never really goes anywhere, and the terrible flashbacks. When she does contribute, it's cringey forced attempts at making her look badass or edgy, as though forgetting that not everyone had chosen to pick Jane at the end of season 2 and had no plans for Clementine to turn out that way. This time around, Clementine's companion is Javier but it lacks any of the substance or believability to make it work like previously seen, since they never have any chances to truly get to know one another in the short time span of the game. Overall, Clementine's just a glorified background character in this season.
She is definitely the most personable and engaging in Season One in my opinion. I don't think it's very fair to compare it to Season Two, seeing as she can have a number of different personalities, depending on you're play style. ANF Clem was alright. I loved her character design, and she's really the only thing tying this to previous games, but all the "badass" pandering is pretty annoying. I want more more of the hardened survivor, yet still naive child Clem like how she was in the period scene, and less "inexplicably-knows-how-to-drive-a-motorcycle" Clem.
S2 Clem is OP? I just do not agree....she was fine in S2. S3....welllllllll.
Season 2 for me. The change from an accompanying child of Omid and Christa to a survivor that has to make an independent choice at the finale is great. With all the flaws of Season 2, it was nice to see that change in Clementine. I also think her getting thrown into the internal issues and collapse of the cabin/Howe's group while observing the change of an old acquaintance/friend was a great character builder. It opened her eyes to the changes in humanity and how loss and pain effects people both short term (Cabin/Howe's) and long term (Kenny/Jane).
I liked Season 1 Clementine. However, she was really just a moral compass. This isn't a negative or anything because we played as Lee; it was the role she needed to be to make the story flow. However, I fell like Lee's death while necessary for the story prevented any true Season 1 Clem development. This is because we didn't get more time as Lee with Clem and see how our actions a year in the apocalypse effect her as a morality compass.
I don't think we get enough of ANF Clementine for me to fully judge. I know the whole tough, anti-Lee's-teaching attitude was off putting to many fans, but it made sense. Clem thought AJ was dead. It was the last straw for her. She didn't care anymore. She was a hollow shell of what she used to be. Determinately if you don't back up Clem at Prescott, Eleanor mentions how there is something "dark" in her eyes and you can tell she's dealing with something. All hope was gone (kind of like Lee at the beginning of Season 1 in the cop car). This is why the Clementine we know starts to resurrect in episode 4 when it is revealed AJ is alive. I can tell that TTG tried to allude to this, but the execution wasn't 100%. I think this is more at fault with the Garcia family reunion and tensions being too big for it to fit it. ANF for me feels like the beginning of the development of Clementine in this new era rather than a full character development arc. Season 4, if true to be Clementine centered, will essentially determine how I view her ANF development. If incorporated and utilized effectively and efficiently, then I see ANF's Clem better. If mishandled or ignored, then what was building in ANF becomes pointless and hollow. Let's see what 2018 (hopefully not 2019) brings about with Clem.
If they bring back season 2 clem but more mature it would be perfect
clementine S2 is MY CLEMENTINE! .. she felt way too generic in ANF
1
I like season 3 Clem personality wise but I liked her in season 2 design wise.
Season 1 Clementine introduced us to a character we will long remember.
For me I liked that and primarily Season 2 Clementine. I prefer the later cause this Clementine was coming into her own, shaping into a survivor based on our preferences when playing.
So Season 2 Clem for me
Unpopular opinion, but S1 Clem was a weak character. She was essentially a gameplay device to give more weight to choices. Yeah, Clem was definitely sharp, helpful, and perceptive even at that point, but she didn't really come into her own as a character until S2 and ANF.
I agree with you. Like I said in my comment, she was a moral compass. She played a role and stuck to her beliefs regardless of what you did as Lee. As a matter of fact, practically all the cast of Season 1 was like that. Everyone represented a perspective that tried in influence you whereas the following season have more been about you influencing the cast. Something I never realized until now. Interesting.
Lol, it says something when you go from impact on the story and character development to just her 3D design XD.
