I think i would survive. I have survival experience and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to protect my loved ones. It's them that I would worry about.
Lets be real here for a moment, even the people that have the skills and strength and fitness to survive in the apocalypse would have a low chance of survival, basically all the survivors in TWD have been lucky in order to survive, but a whole bunch of people who would make perfect survivors also died in the initial outbreak, simply because noone was prepared for it
In the first few days, its mostly luck with some skill involved in whether or not you survive, but also a big part of America has a better chance of surviving, because there is more guns, whereas where I live, only the police and military carry guns, and guns have to be securely locked up whenever theyre not in use, so all we have here is knives and bats and the like
I think That because of zombie trivia, the military have a code for different types of zombie attacks, and they'd be cleared out rather quickly. But if the didn't... I might not survive, when I was 9 I thought I would for no real reason. Now I think about, I'm unfit, I have no combat experience except for fighting at school or with my cousin. I've never killed so I would be able to kill a zombie. I would die fast.
I live in England so I would take my family to the countryside as there will be less walkers than in the city. I would have a knife like, what Jane had as my melee weapon and gun what Carley used. These weapons are safer, more easier to kill walkers and to hunt with. Also I would use the knee trick, what Clementine uses with walkers. Also if me and my family were in danger in a herd, I would have to tell them about spreading walker guts on them. If some scavenger held my family member at gunpoint, I would shoot them straight away, "I'd do whatever it takes for my family".
Well, thats assuming the apocalypse is exactly like TWD, if an actual apocalypse happened, you would have no clue how to react, and you can plan all you want, but all it takes is one misfortune, and youre toast, not to mention that ALOT of people that are actually very fit to survive will die, simply because they dont know that a zombie apocalypse is happening, and that most of the survivors in TWD had some sort of luck involved so they didnt die straight away (in Telltale for example, most of the main characters was only met with 1 or 2 walkers at a time when they first encountered them, and they almost died anyways.
Not to mention that it wouldnt be nearly as easy as they make it seem in the movies to just take a knife an kill a zombie, you would both have to be able to overpower it, smash through its skull (assuming thats even working, we have no clue how a potential zombie outbreak might work), not to mention actually shooting humans, not considering the fact that humans probably doesnt resort to shit like threatening other people until at least a while in, and at that point its more luck than skill to have survived, but if you survive that long, survival skills probably start being more useful, since things kinda settle down

Sin duda! yo estando en America, me buscaria unos de esos RV de lujo antes de viajar varios estados con dos crios.....pero no se conducir!!! Estoy jodida
Ps: I really hope it's not bothering anyone, us using another language...
I'm not sure if this language is acceptable but...
Honestamente bro, Javier en la vida real sería follada en un apocalipsis. Sólo en esa furgoneta de mierda! Jajaja no me hagas reir
I don't think having guns would help, I'm sure the majority would go crazy shooting at people (walkers or not) making more walkers, because most of them would fail shooting the head and.... ammo aren't endless.

I love how people think if there was a cataclysmic event that turned the population into ravenous flesh-eating nightmares, that they wouldn't die from something lame like dietary complications or dysentery or something equally painful and unceremonious.
Or perhaps those people feel they'd be too pre-occupied finding perfectly in-tact boxes of tamps or being able to scream and shout at each other in the middle of a large scale zombie heard with no consequence.
The majority of ZA stories are so inherently stupid, I find I can't place myself in them in any capacity.
I would be quite screwed, I am no strong physically, and mental condition would just cause me to panic/dissociate through the end of the world. Honestly, if I didn't have any people or a strong community to fall back on, I'd just shoot myself.
It is! I barely remember how to write some kanji, completely forgotten the kana and I can only read hiragana without understanding most of it completely useless now!
After one year of study I can't even have a basic chat with a japanese !
Well at least I could say him that he lies and steal his medicine for his imouto sister chan XD

I have experience about this stuff from today's media
I go to the gym pretty often
I used to go to a shooting range with my dad (he was a cop)
No experience with melee weapons (probably would get the hang of it during the ZA)
I trust people easily (this is most likely a bad thing)
I'm the type of guy to risk his life to save pretty much anyone's (even if they're an asshole)
I have nothing against killing people if they're a threat
I'm the type of person that would just get really depressed after losing someone close to me (I already have, I know what it's like). That would probably be the death of me.
Indeed! It's quite nice!
In another post I got asked how old I am, just because I never got interested in games of thrones
What does it matter how old we are?? It's all about taste anyway.
I'd be fine. I live in Hawaii food and water is everywhere. Also since lots of shit grows here everyone has machetes(And you know machetes a… morere great to keep walkers at a low) to keep from getting overgrown. My family also can sustain itself completely off solar energy. The only suffering I would sustain is less meat and more vegetables and fruits.
Also forgot to mention 4.0 student with A.P classes as a sophomore and the best in my grade for track distance running. My vision is also far greater than the average person. Where I live everybody knows everyone and I am liked quite a lot(you know because I am not a dick) therefore my list of people who would trust me is very high.

Let's see - a 15 year old who has no specific survival skills and also barely handles stress. Yeah, sounds like I'm gonna rock dat apocalypse!
...the hell!!
I would surely tell him something shorter! kisama!!!
I am serious, I am tired to receive Horizon Zero Dawn books destroyed by post office !
If that continue I will not wait for the ZA xD
Oh c'mon! Everyone can survive an apocalypse because we are so fortunate to have been unconsciously trained and educated through TV, movies and games!
Hmmm...
I'm the type of person that would just get really depressed after losing someone close to me (I already have, I know what it's like). That would probably be the death of me.
I was damn certain I was the oldest guy on here by years. I'm thirty seven. Nice to know I do have some contemporaries!
Lol nope imma be zombie chow day one
Though I'd imagine much of survival in the ZA would boil down to luck so idk.
Indeed! It's quite nice!

I'd honestly shoot myself out of fear of being devoured. Doubt that's a nice experience.
part of me died inside when you talked about your vision. Mine is terrible.
I won I am the forum's grandpa XD
don't worry, you're not! I know many people over their 40's that still love to play games!
I guess they don't know Games Of Thrones then hahahahahaah rotlf XD
Who knows, I've never asked !
I'm made of adrenaline. Literally gonna die in the first week, thinking i'm some tough guy while rushing into a crowd of walkers with a baseball bat.
Real fucking smart, Commie.
