Did you even READ my post or did you read like the half of the first paragraph and say fuck it ill reply now. "Save her?! CLEM NEEDS SAVING… more? AHHH"
You really didn't acknowledge my part about Arya/Sansa?
Like you said, he gave her pads in that scene, not at the end when she's leaving for quite a while presumably.
"Do we want to keep making Clem look weak?" NUMBER ONE, she doesn't always depend on people to save her but that doesn't mean she NEVER can....In fact I cant even think of any situations off the top of my head other then the bullets jamming in Ep1 where you were the thing between Clem and death this season
NUMBER TWO: Seriously when the fuck did I say that!!!??? But since you bring it up...Yes Clem is physically weak compared to Javi (not mentally). "Like imagine if during a walker fight she started to experience certain symptoms that you listed after that conversation and we had to save her because of it" Those were yours words, not mine.
I also never said I saw Javi as a father figure because he saved her at the junkyard or when the walker she couldn't kill right away because the bullets didn't work.
Even less that she doesn't need anyone.
Don't forget that Clem experienced much more than Gabe or even Javi.
For some of us Clem left alone in season 2 meaning she was around 11 when she had to go through a bunch of walkers with AJ. She meets Ava around 13, so yeah , years dealing with shitty things alone with a baby.
You even see Gabe crying because he was scared in the junkyard, he was extremely sheltered until episode 4, Gabe and Javi never had to deal with things alone like Clem did. I'm not making things up, it clearly shows since episode 1
So yes, she has more experience, but never said she was stronger or didn't need help.
And that's exactly why in my eyes we can't see Clem weak.
And again, about "the no one cares" is clearly because not many people including you, saw those 5 minutes in the infirmary like you said, as a "father and daughter moment" an important moment for both of them. Don't forget that Javi lost Mariana, a niece he thought of as a daughter, and the last father figure Clem had was Lee. So yeah, I can't help but feel that even if it was 5 minutes it was a strong bonding time. We wish it was longer? Or wish we had more moments like these? I'm the first asking for more. But I can't say that moment was useless to the story because it wasn't.
Hell! it was probably the only truly bonding moment between Javi and Clem in the whole season. I'm not gonna spit on that.

I'm not too sure what the average age is for the members here, but I actually find it simultaneously creepy and hilarious how deeply people feel about Clementine getting her period. I know that for a lot of guys it can be uncomfortable to discuss, but it's such a normal thing that represents the fact that Clementine is.. well, no longer eight years old. The scene itself was adorably awkward because of Clementine's confusion and Javi's discomfort, I feel. I would have handled it differently, but I wasn't entirely against including it in the game.
Not too sure why people are so opposed to even the slightest mention of these things happening. Not even expressing criticisms of how the scene was handled, just the idea of it happening.
The purpose was to highlight that she's grown up since season 1, she's becoming an adult. Periods are a MAJOR part of growing up. It would also be extremely difficult to understand if you had no education on it. I honestly don't know why it's so hard to understand.
Yeah, at least then it would actually have some sort of purpose other than the scene just telling us the very obviously important information that periods exist, and that they happen, and that Clementine's female...
Whatever. I think it was a waste of time and you clearly think it was some super important moment for both of them. Agree to disagree.
I'm curious though, how old are you that you don't know what Game of Thrones is?
I've never said Clem saw Javi as a friend since Prescott, but it contributed to not see Javi as an asshole. Even if we don't see it, she dug a grave for Mariana while Javi was passed out, it means something to her, when Javi is filling Mariana's grave, she tries to confort him, that's when we start to see an emotional connection, even if it was through loss and sadness. That's also why she tells him, once they get in Prescott she'll be on the road, simply because she doesn't want to feel all those emotions. Once in Prescott if you agree to Badger and Max demand, Clem will be the one to shot the woman pointing a gun at you.
On their way to Richmond, just before meeting Jesus, if you talk to her, she will say that she feels conflicted because you are good people and it never end well. In the tunnel she chose to tell you the truth about the new frontier. It wasn't for nothing. Or do you think that it was also out of nowhere?
so don't say it's out of nowhere, because it shows clearly depending on how you played Javi.
Let's look at it like this: Clem holds … moreJavier hostage, they go to Prescott, he helps her with whatever that ammo dealer's name was and suddenly, they're friends. There's no actual emotional connection or interactions that create it, they're just friends because the plot demands it and because Telltale need an excuse to throw Clementine into a story she's not needed.
Whatever. I think it was a waste of time and you clearly think it was some super important moment for both of them. Agree to disagree.
I'm curious though, how old are you that you don't know what Game of Thrones is?
There was nothing like this in season 2.
The only thing I can think of is when Mike ask Luke how it was with Jane, then Luke says something like, no time for kissing it lasted 10 minutes. Clem can chose to say gross or I know what you're talking about.... I don't remember everything. It was a talk about sex nothing about periods.
I see uneducated men babbling about something they don't understand. It's not the first time.
Why is everyone so triggered by this scene XD Girls have periods - Clem is a girl. Please stop acting like it's the end of the world.
It humanized Clem and made her less of a badass robot. It shows her growth as not only a character, but as a human. It was well played and I applaud TT for having the balls to make it.

Really? I didn't know about that... but I'm glad they didn't do it when she was 10 or 11 years old. I know for some of us it happens earlier but I still think it would have been too young.

It made me laugh because of how awkward it was but I thought the topic was handled well. Although it wasn't really necessary and I find it unbelievable that Clementine did not have that conversation with Christa during the time they traveled together.
It's won the emmy for Outstanding Drama series for 2 years in a row and is one of the most if not the most nominated television show at the emmys in the past 6 years. Calling it awful is weird. It's just not your cup of tea clearly.
You really don't seem to understand what I'm saying, so I'm mostly done trying to explain it. The point was that they have had no reasons originally to become friends, and so your constant attempts to dismiss that fact with selected scenes of them being friends, really isn't relative to that actual point...

I think it's more to due with the fact that the scene itself contributes nothing to the story and not the actual topic of periods, nor, like you assumed, because we're immature. If the writers wanted to highlight how Clementine had grown from how she was in the first season, they could've at least found a means to do it in a way that it'd drive the story further and her development, instead of just a random scene that goes nowhere, really.

I really must need a decoder with you, because I really don't get what specific reason you need to become friend with someone. As long as they're not assholes, share moments and can trust them. It's not like everything has to be calculated.

Bruh, just because most background characters ended up looking like shit this season, you're putting too much thought into one who just happened to look decent.
It's the "lowered standards" effect
That's all I think this is.
Because, for the 3rd time, there was seemingly more effort and thought put into her design and usage in her debut episode than you'd expect. Especially when compared to other background and/or mook character models.
The purpose was to highlight that she's grown up since season 1, she's becoming an adult. Periods are a MAJOR part of growing up. It would… more also be extremely difficult to understand if you had no education on it. I honestly don't know why it's so hard to understand.
The real problem here is that it's a heavily misplaced scene.
You don't do a "cute and awkward" period scene RIGHT after a guy gets brutally stabbed in the shoulder and is wounded and you also don't do it RIGHT before a scene where a guy is really high on drugs and contemplating suicide.
Not to mention that it sucks out the foreboding and dangerous atmosphere the episode was trying to build up.
It's almost just as bad as everyone being 100% super happy that a baby is born mere SECONDS after they all witnessed a 15 year old being brutally mauled by walking corpses.
Perhaps. Still, why even bother to have her, with her nonstandard design, show up in that cutscene when she's not there at all in the alternate scenario?

Everyone mentions Christa, but you guys seem to forget how cold Christa is towards Clem after Omid is killed......"16 months later" Clem: "Christa, talk to me"
Christa looks at her, sighs and then complains about the fire.
Not exactly the most easy person for Clem to talk to at that time.

I do agree, it was very misplaced. Though honestly? I did enjoy ANF, and I did like that scene, but all 5 episodes felt super rushed, maybe that's why it was oddly placed. Just hope season 4 won't be rushed.

SUICIDE SQUAD? It won an award for "Best Makeup and Hairstyling". How can you even compare that to an award like "best picture"? Man, if you want to question "why bother" with certain things in these games, you'll be here all day.
Which, actually might not change things at all. (do either of us even have lives?)
Perhaps. Still, why even bother to have her, with her nonstandard design, show up in that cutscene when she's not there at all in the alternate scenario?
It's almost like TT couldn't figure out any other idea of how to write a scene with Javi and Clem which doesn't involve murdering, running a… moreround or escaping zombos. This just shows how bad this season was in terms of (everything) character bonding and how it miserably failed to add peaceful, calmer moments to the story.

I couldn't agree more.
The tonal direction in both season 2 and ANF is absolutely abysmal. It's like sensory overload or some shit.
Honestly it felt very sloppy and lazy to me
Offtopic again, but did anyone else think this was partially bait for when Clementine and Javier walk out on Gabe and Ava on the first viewing?
