Is there ANY chance clementine to appear in the TV Show?

I know she only appeared in the video games and not in the comics, but is there any chance she might appear in the tv show?
This may be an age old question but I don't know any thread that question about this though.

  • Probably not since a lot of people think that keeping them separate is the best thing for the two of them. Plus I think a Clem without Melissa Hutchinson is not the Clem we all know and love.

  • It would likely spark some life in the show after what they've recently been doing to it, but they've forever lost my support after how they killed Glenn (not the fact that they did it, but how it was done).

  • No becasue all season and dlc are conected with comic

  • would make me watch the tv show. i gave up watching it after season 4.

  • Good point.
However, what if they find an actress that has a similar voice to Melissa and and has the same body characteristics to Clementine?
There are almost 7.500.000.000.000 people out there, so why not?
    Just something to think about.

  • I was thinking about it, too. I believe that it would be a great opportunity for the TV show to "rise again", but not if they had in mind to kill her in the meantime... :/

Then I'd be on fucking board with that also I just remembered that Clem's voice changes as the seasons go so maybe a more different and mature voice can work.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

  • They got to find an actress somehow, If there IS an actual clementine in this world, I think I'm more happy to see her directly

  • Killing Glenn though they've done it in the comics.. so there's no complain for that, I guess.
Must admit, I was disappointed.. but I've seen Negan here playing a huge role in town is kinda fun

  • Clementine will not be included into the tv show. For starters the game takes place in the comic universe not the tv show universe so a Clementine as we know her does not exist in the tv show universe. Sure they could develop a character like her but what would be the point? The show already has its kid characters that people have been following for seasons now. Also I don't think fans of the game would like how a Clementine type character would be adapted into the show as the show is mainly about the adults and the kids are generally put into the background and (aside from Carl) only appear in a handful episodes a season.

The best thing to do would be to bring Clementine into the comic and when the show gets around to that part of the story then they could bring Clementine in.

  • Yeah, that's definetly good once they bring her in the comics and when they reach that part of the comics then they bring clementine in. Agreed.

  • Hopefully not.

  • First have Clementine show up in the comics. If she has a big role and is written good, then it'll be a great idea for her to show up on the show.

  • Just leave her in game

  • No its not cannon thank the gods but Rosita is pretty similar to Clementine

Personally I hope they don't. The Telltale series is Clem's story. The AMC series is Rick's story from what I have seen (i am in season 4) it doesn't make sense to have them overlap. The universes are slightly different between all 3 also. It just gets messy.

  • not sure if anyone else has said this, but if anything, clementine would only be seen in the comic books because thats the universe she takes place in.

I said I had no issue with them killing Glenn. It's the extremely violent, gory way that they decided to show it.

  • No way she will ever appear and why do people want her in the show anyway No offense lol. The Show would totally fuck up Clem's character as if ANF didn't do that enough. Plus The Showrunners wouldn't even know what to do with her character since they probably don't play the games. Lets just let clem be in the ComicVerse because if she does appear then people will still FUCKING complain

  • I'm probably in the minority here but I think it would be cool :\

  • Even if Clem appeared in comic it would take a lot of time to make an appearance in tv show. Season 8 is around the corner, will be focused on all out war comic events which was a thing in 2013/2014....its 3 years! , so even if Clem appeared in comic lets say tomorrow we would see her in tv show in 2020/21 which is still a long period of time so lets focus on her potentional part in comic at the first place.
Though, I am not fan of involving her in Kirkman´s book

If Clem is ever shown in the comic enough then the AMC show that is based off comic characters could potentially use a remixed Clem in the show. She just really needs to appear in the comic alot.

  • clementine's owned by telltale and technically copyrighted by telltale so itd be complicated to get her on the comics. i personally think itd be best if the two just kept separated from eachother

I'd rather not support this one cause Clem will be different on TV and I want to know her as how I know her in game. I support the idea that she has to get involved with comics but, TV Show is much way different.

  • i personally think itd be best if the two just kept separated from eachother

    Why is that?

  • I don't think that would be the best idea...I feel like the TV show would ruin Clementine's character. I'm afraid they wouldn't do her justice. I would be a little bit more comfortable with her showing up in the comics, but maybe more as a cameo or briefly rather than a full blown character. She wouldn't be on the TV show without being in the comics anyway I don't think, so it's very unlikely to happen anyway. I prefer to leave Clementine to Telltale personally.

  • if she got added to the comics, it'd restrict the game a LOT. they won't be able to kill off any characters, add any characters that aren't already in the comic, and the TWD comic won't be able to kill clementine off without Telltale's permission. so basically, it'd just be a messy situation.

Video game live-action adaptation has always been a bad idea to begin with. Have you ever seen:

    • Super Mario Bros
    • Doom
    • Alone in the Dark
    • Mortal Kombat Annihilation
    • Resident Evil franchise
    • Max Payne
    • Hitman
    • Far Cry
    • Assassin's Creed

Name one game that had a successful live-action adaptation which I doubt you will.

  • I think I agreed to most of the comments saying Clementine should just be in the game and only in the game cause she's owned by Telltale and if she's in the TV show it'll ruin the game... well, I don't want it to ruin the game so yeah, it's best that we just leave it all alone.
Thanks for your comments guys and gal, I really do appreciate it :)

  • Oh, is it... really you clementine? Thank God I found you!

Cleminist Skybound owns the rights to all the characters in the TellTale games. So they could bring any character into the comic if they so wished.

You buy the TWDG action figures on the Skybound site and all you can do on the TellTale shop is buy the game. That wouldn't be the case if TellTale owned the characters.

  • She's not owned by TellTale. She is owned by Skybound. If Kirkman wants to bring her into the comics all TellTale could do is set up a scenario to where it made sense for her to go into the comics.

Clem joining the comic books wouldn't be a awful ending to the game series. I get where your coming from.

The games seem to not know how to carry long term stories like the show or comics and are better off with one hitter quitters.

  • Exactly. About the only way they could do Clementine's character justice at this point is to bring her into the comics. If she continues to strictly live in the games her character will continue to get run into the ground. Meeting new people. Them all dying. Then she goes onto the next group of people to meet until they die. Rinse and repeat.

If they bring her into the comics even if she doesn't become a main character that gets a great deal of screen time the people that played the game can always be satisfied that this is where she is now and this is what she is doing. Much better way for TellTale to end her story than to simply have to kill her off or give her a ride off into the sunset ending when they are done making games about her.
