I like the NF but it don't feel like the walking dead unlike the other 2 games instead it feel like a soap opera, how ever I still enjoyed it more then the other 2 walking dead games.
Ignoring them isn't a option? These are far better than the Gabe-ist prejudiced threads with 60 no reason likes and creepily obsessed Clementine threads any day of the week. Maybe there weren't enough season 2 sucks threads to catch the developers attention because they ended up making the very same and worse mistakes than previously on the Walking Dead after 3 years to prepare something of substance. Understandable many come to vent on forums. But it can get out of hand.. Just not yet.
ive kinda posted why I hate season 2 on multiple occasions and I don't particularly want to go into it yet again. Short version, episode 4 and 5 are the worst schlock Telltale has produced. Not to mention my comment was that the stupid things (final confrontation, Sarah and Nick deaths) in S2 made me angry not that there was more or less stupid things.
Well half the grown-up group kind of looking to little Clem as their counselor is a good one. Big bad villain thinks a little girl thinks like he does. And if Clem did think that way it's not really in character for not only her but anyone that age. So I never understood the Carver office interrogation deal other than to see what he did to Alvin. Other than that everything else is kind of on par with New Frontier but your right New Frontier beats season 2 with more absurdity. When A war essentially gets started over gas & pudding. LoL maybe if this were a walking dead comedy parody it'd be up for good laughs.
It's very unpopular but I enjoyed ANF the most. That's because of the story and characters though. I like most didn't like the treatment of certain determinant characters.
I actually loved that scene. It was mostly Kate's fault anyway, I rejected her everytime and she still revealed she had feelings for Javi in front of David. He was in a bad place and already felt betrayed by everyone and was in a downward spiral that whole episode. I told him I love him instead of fighting him. David getting angry when he thought that Javi, the last person he trusted betrayed him too makes sense. And seriously I never hated him. Not even when he took off with Gabe, I went after them and saved them both with Clem. And then asked him to come back, which he did.
The fight with David is fucking unforgivable and bullshit. I sided with David all the time and this is the outcome I get? Telltale is dick to David fans, no fucking question. The story is tailored by how you play MY ASS.
By far. S1 was amazing and the first two episodes of S2 was great. Michonne Mini-Series is a guilty pleasure for me, mainly because I enjoyed Randall's character.
The forums went out of hand during ANFs premiere episodes (Dec-Jan). VERY catastrophic and for good reasons too. I hope the devs actually noticed that.

Nothing wrong with things getting a little out of hand. So they can hopefully learn to stop making the same mistakes over again and get back on the right track.

No, ANF at least had a good narrative focus and the characters were more memorable. I actually still think about ANF's characters even the ones I hate like David. I don't do that with S2. Sometimes I forget it even exists, to be honest. Even when I do remember it, I'm only ever thinking of ways I would've made it actually decent, as a writer myself that has been studying the craft of writing for at least 11 years now. I was able to remember the characters' names easily in ANF, but in S2 I had a hard time remembering what the cabin crew's names were, especially Alvin's. They were pretty forgettable.
ANF definitely had it's flaws (like Ties That Bind part 1 and 2 being boring as hell, among other things), but overall it was better than S2's messy plot with no sense of direction and completely forgettable characters like Luke, Alvin, Rebecca, Carver or characters suffering from extreme amounts of wasted potential like Carlos, Sarah, Vince, Russell, Wyatt, Eddie (ep. 4's slide coughcough. I don't even give a shit about Eddie, but come on now. You can't just tease characters like that and then not have them show up... it's cruel to those that do care about him), Shel, Becca, Sarita (I actually almost forgot to put her in this list, oops!), and Carver again. Let's just say I liked ep. 2 Carver better than ep. 3 Carver... back when he seemed like he was going to be an actual morally gray villain that dropped hints that the cabin crew weren't all that they seemed. S2 Ep. 3 is still by far the worst Walking Dead episode with it's awful amount of wasted potential (Howe's felt so bare and empty for a supposed thriving community unlike Richmond where you did see many people in the background and the lack of useful hubs that talk to the "new" characters like the 400 Days crew. I say new because Clem didn't know them, but we did, obviously.
Also, I remember Job saying S2 ep. 3 was going to have your previous choices matter a lot, but it was actually the most linear episode to date... unless you want to count the 5 second, very out of character cameos of the 400 Days crew... out of character for Russell and Wyatt, at least. And Tavia, if you want to include her, but she might've just been playing nice in the DLC. Personally, I knew she'd end up bad from the start). Meanwhile, I felt like in ANF the choices mattered quite a lot, actually. I was/am pretty impressed, especially after that atrocious S2. ANF wasn't 100% perfect, obviously, but neither was S1, to be quite honest.
In regards to S2 Kenny, they literally just copied and pasted his character arc from S1 into S2. Once he was shown to be alive, the season basically became The Walking Kenny. Don't get me wrong, I fucking love Kenny, he's in my top 5 favorite Walking Dead characters (and TTG characters in general), but my god, it was too much. If they actually did something original and different with him, I would not have minded him being alive. Honestly, I wished he died in Savannah. That was a perfect ending to his arc.
There's so much more I could say, like how in S2 Christa was out of character and how, of course, the treatment of our S2 endings in ANF was god awful, but I've already spent way too much time on this. This post was just supposed to be a small paragraph!
Let's just say I'm far more interested in Javier's story than Clem's and AJ's story now. I hope the "Clem's story will be continued" is just a DLC or a mini series (speaking of, I keep forgetting the Michonne mini series was actually a thing, lol) and not season 4. I want to play Javier again. I just don't care much about Clem anymore....
Of course it is weakest. Poor writing, short episodes, almost no attachment with characters other than Javi and last second changes are enough to reach that opinion.
Some graphical and animational improvements were successfull but nothing else.
These threads having been consistently made on a nearly daily to weekly basis for the past 5 months straight. If telltale doesn't get it at this point it isn't gonna happen at all

Is A New Frontier even Season 3? It seems like it may be one of those filler seasons. Kind of like those Call of Duty games that didn't have numbers and then 2 comes out after like 1 or 2 games that just had titles and no numbers next to their titles.
Not to me it didn't. Kate's flip flopping, Gabe's flip flopping, lame ass villains that simply aren't around enough to make an impact, an even lamer and awfully developed love triangle that ruined David's character. Besides, having good narrative focus is only good if the storyline is good. If it isn't then you should change things up, just like season 2 rightfully did
and the characters were more memorable.
Were they? You really think Javier, Gabe and Kate were more memorable than Kenny, Jane, season 2 Clementine? Sounds like recency bias to me. Then take the secondary characters like Eleanor, Tripp, Conrad etc. You think they will be rememered more than the likes of Luke, Arvo, Bonnie? Then there is no way on Earth Joan made more of an impact than Carver. I literally only remember the bitch being in 2 scenes, with neither lasting that long, lmao.

Anyone else think a New Frontier may not even be season 3
Telltale wants us to think it is Season 3 but it's definitely not and people who says it is Season 3 are just brainwashed lol.
Very, very few people think it is better than season 1 lol.
Whoever said that clearly has different opinions on how a good story is told vs a terrible one.
I would like to know what makes New Frontier better than Season One...

Opinions, I mean I didn't really like ANF but some did and thats fine.
Yeah true and of course I had to get the ending where Gabe dies which made me cringe really bad.
...you mean like what alot of you guys do around here?
...because its pointless...so why would i try?
Thanks for proving my point.
I agree, not only the weakest Walking dead game but the Weakest Telltale game that I've played.
ANF is the best... at failing.
Not really season 2 is terrible and I killed Kenny, I didn't think they were well done but I don't care that much about Janes character.
Hasn't there been over 4 threads on this? I think ANF is quite bad, but this annoyingly excessive with the same threads being made.
I like the NF but it don't feel like the walking dead unlike the other 2 games instead it feel like a soap opera, how ever I still enjoyed it more then the other 2 walking dead games.
Obviously season 1 is the best. Under that I have to say ANF is better than 2 and Michonne if you count that.
You're right, there is no grave yet because they're currently digging it.
ANF had way more stupid shit happening than S2 did though. What shit was more stupid in S2 than in ANF?

Not to mention longest development time window.

I'm thinking they just want so many folks to stop taking dumps on what they love. Or want you to stop complaining just because they like it.
No, I thought it was the 2nd best.

So, for me, it goes: S1>S2>NF>Michonne

if they haven't gotten it after nearly 8 months of constant outrage and criticism then they aren't getting it at all.
Thank you.
God bless you.
Yeah I think this may have been an inbetween game like 400 days.
God bless you.
Being action packed and conventional?
(Btw, I'm listening to Salty Seas and it's having a bizarre effect on your gif)
very out of character cameos of the 400 Days crew... Can you please explain this? I never really got this complaint.
Maybe this one as well?
It originally was, but they changed that halfway through development due to the severe changes in format.
