Is a New Frontier Season 3?

A New Frontier = Season 3 or = longer 400 days?

God bless everyone.

ANF IS season 3. People can deny it, hate it, and cry about it til the walkers come home, but that doesn't change that ANF is the third season.

The grieving process is strong with Season 3/ANF.

  • It is an unfortunate fact as ANF could have been a very good S3.

  • It is Season 3 and people should stop crying about it.

  • I'm still waiting for season 3, when is it coming out?

  • It's season 3, though it's pretty telling that this fact still confuses people. The season was simply rushed.

  • And if they were to call the next game season 3? Then what?

    God bless you.

  • See we've seen this with other games (like I mentioned in the video) it's possible that telltale is doing the same thing where the next game will be season 3.

    God bless you.

  • I just wouldn't surprised if they went and called their next game season 3 like an official continuation of Clementine's story.

    God bless you.

  • Not crying it just was strange that's all that season 3 isn't in the title. Like I said in the video other games like COD have done this before.

    God bless you.

  • LOL, you and me both man, waiting for a proper continuation of Clem's story.

    God bless you.

  • But they didn't call it season 3. Like I said in the video other games like COD have done something similar. It is possible Telltale could name the next game season 3.

    God bless you.

  • As much as I hate calling this game Season 3...
They did call it S3 in the Google Play store and also Steam (until they removed it a day before release). In the Steam files it still says "Season 3" there.

  • We're still in Denial period I guess, we'll hit acceptance in a few months before s4/dlc releases.

Except that they have been calling ANF the third season.

  • Have the actual developers from Telltale stated this was Season 3? Because I've only seen them mentioning it as ANF.

  • I wonder what name they're gonna give Season 4, cos going back to a Season title will be odd if A New Frontier is definitively Season Three.

Yes, they have referred to it as the third season.

They also refer to it as the third seson/ season 3 in this video.

Even if some things where changed during production it doesn't change the fact that A New Frontier is season 3.

  • Not denial just questioning. I simply thought it was odd that the season isn't in the title this time and started to wonder if it was one of those inbetween games like COD has or other game franchises have.

    Thank you for comment.

    God bless you.

  • I think it was an okay game just the ending really messed up a whole chunk of it in my opinion.

  • Never said that you're the one crying lmao.
There are too many people complaining about ANF being worse than the other two seasons and not being S3. It was them I was referring to.

  • Why is that so old? That's back in June. If it season three I'm actually fine with it. I was just wondering why they didn't put it in the title and then remembered other game franchises have not put it in the title because it wasn't a numbered sequel.

    Thank you for the comment.

    God bless you.

  • It would be, Maybe they'll call it "An Old Frontier." Since we go back to playing as Clem most likely.

    Thank you for the comment.

  • Oh cool then. In my opinion S3 was better than 2. The characters I think were much better done this time around then they were in S2 in my opinion.

  • Telltale said that for all intents and purposes, ANF is season 3.

  • Ah.. classic..
let's just move on to season 4 or whatever they call it the next season, alright?

If this game is Season 3, then why is it a story of someone we have never met in the previous seasons and not Clem's?

    Season 3 =/= New Character's story.

This game barely has any connection with the previous seasons. If Clementine wasn't in this game, the story would have been the same without her and there was no purpose for her in this story other than marketing.

Telltale even fucked up with making this game for the new fanbase. If Telltale wanted new players in this community, then Clementine shouldn't have been added in the first place cause a lot of people who played this game are old school TWD fans since Season 1. How many new players are even there? Why not suggest them to play the previous seasons? It's NOBODY's fault someone decided to play the lattest installment without having no acknowledge of the whole story.

I refuse to call this "Season 3". I can barely think this is a sequel to a game that won 2012 GOTY.

  • Honestly, I can't really tell which one's better. Both S2 and S3 have their flaws, but all I know is that S1 is the best one.

  • Yeah Clem didn't have that big of a role in this story. I like Javier as a character and his story is pretty interesting, but yeah to didn't have to know much about Clem's past to get this story.

    Thank you for the comment.

    God bless you.

Yeah perhaps "back to basics" since we'll probably be focusing on Clem again.
