Should Javier be at least 10% playable in season 4
You don't have to agree with me but I think it will be cool if the majority of the season wa played as clem but we are allowed to play as javier as well to some extent. I was thinking that it could be kinda cool if at the beginning of every episode we play as javier helping to rebuild richmond, and depending on the player's choices during these segments Richmond will be different when clem gets back in whatever episode it might be. It could be a tyranny run by a ruthless javier, or an easy going community who trade with other communities out there. Or if not, javier just leaves and tries to help clem find an after realising it may be difficult to do alone. Maybe the choice in the Jesus dialogue at the end of episode 5 about whether javier wanted to stay or not could determine how the entire season plays out. I would like to know your thoughts, if you agree, disagree, or think javier can be implemented in a different way

Clementine has spent 3 seasons as the central focus, and has become a little depressing. While javier can lighten the mood, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to have him show up, even if he is not playable. But I respect your opinion

I see what you mean, but this series is her story, not Javier's. Also, she wasn't the main focus of S3, it was Javi's family. Who isn't depressed nowadays anyway? Javier still has his family while Clementine may have nothing at all (If AJ is dead).
Javier is more of side character material than a main character. He can have a Pete role from the Michonne Mini-series, but nothing bigger than that.
I just really like the idea of clem having a companion similar to lee if aj turns out to be dead or missing with no trace or something like that. I can't stand clem to be alone again and giving her bullshit sob stories to make people feel sorry for her. Not that I don't like them, but javier actually makes clem laugh at least 2-3 times this season (although all of them were determinant, I managed to get them) which she has never done before I believe. Not even in season 1, the most we ever got was a smile. I think javier could be perfect to keep her mood bright.
I mean there's a difference between making someone laugh and making some happy. Most of the time Clem "smiles" in New Frontier, its more of a smirk.
I'm sure Duck made Clem laugh in S1 offscreen. She said she put a big in his pillow and felt bad that she laughed at him.
Kenny makes her laugh in S2 after he mocks Walter. Pete also makes her laugh after he tells her the embarrassing story of Nick.
So basically you want Javier to have an Omid role next season?
He was the main character in ANF so if there is a dlc or something it should just be about clem he should only be in it at the end if clem goes back to richmond or something like that
I just want javi to appear in every episode for at least a few minutes. I also want it to have an impact on the ending of the whole season. As long as it adds more variety to the choices, idk if they allow us to play as Sarah or Larry. But javier is one of my favourite characters, and is probably the only reason I enjoyed some parts of season 3. Even most people admitted, javier was one of the only things that made the season tolerable, so what if he is added into season 4 but only for a little while while telltale try to improve the story with clementine and aj in the other areas? That way, fans who like javier will stay happy and those who don't won't have to spend long with him.

If anything, Clem's companion should be someone her own age who's like her. So no Gabe, since he's nothing like her and he's dead in some playthroughs.

Maybe teach AJ or Clem how to play baseball? That is the only good reason I think he will be playable for that kind of scene.
I just want to see him again. And being able to play as clem while playing baseball would be great. I normally try to build characters to be EXACTLY like me, and when I used to play baseball when I was at school I would miss all of the time but when I did actually hit it the fucker would fly. So I guess I'll just fail a few of the QTE's and then crush the last one.

I would have to take a hard pass on that, but that's mainly due to ANF's ending. If Kate, Gabriel, and David hadn't been determinant, I might've liked to see if they could've done something more with the relationships.But I know what becomes of determinant characters in later seasons. I wouldn't wish that on any character.
Heh now that i thought of it, Javi will probably piss clem off with the side comments just like what he did to david in the flashback in ep4
I believe that's what would make it special though : ) I'm thinking they release a new character exactly clem's age who is way more badass and likeable than Gabe, but slightly more solitary, and in the end you can choose to be with him or not, and if gabe is alive you can choose to be with Gabe, the new guy or neither. With David, if you told him to leave he could spend the whole season travelling with come, if he stays he could help rebuild Richmond, and javier and Kate could begin their family or just work on rebuilding Richmond instead. It would be really cool if they managed to pull the endings of anf off to have season long effects.

I'm thinking if you guys like Javier, it's better to leave him out of this series or TT will ruin his character sooner or later. This goes for all Garcias as well, if you want them alive it's better for them to disappear and never show up again.
So, no Garcias, no flashbacks and no "we're gonna explain this character's fate in one single line of dialogue so it counts as a proper development".
They probably had a nicely written scenario for TftB and kept to the plan until the end, putting actual effort into Fiona's/Rhys' development and connecting their stories all together, making it a properly working duo.
Javier should be playable.... Only in the 1 minute after credits teaching Clem baseball while smoking weed. LoL then when he feels a flashback coming along the screen fades to black before he finishes speaking. Then forward with season 5 I say! (or S4 if it's S3 DLC)
Absolutely not. I have no interest in dual playable characters after ANF. Plus this is suppose to be clementines story after all.

No, he already had his unfair share of 98% in S3, so S4 should be Clem 100%
Javi played the biggest role of Season 3. So this series is not just about Clementine.
From the first season 3 trailer I think Javi is gonna be her companion. The other Garcia's will die and there will just be Javi and Clem.
Season 3 is likely a background story of Javi.
