I don't think anyone can really say they're in or out of character since we only ever got to play as Russell and Wyatt early into the apocalypse and Christa and Clementine went through over a year of unknown events.

I think the story suffered from the usual flaws in TTG games, the fast pacing, incoherent story-telling, consequences from past choices that don't really make sense and I think Clementine's presence hindered the characters and story the most. They were trying to tell two stories with one character but never really added closure to either story.
oh definitely! i would even go as far as to say the worst of the 3 thus far. very lazy writing in this season with throwaway characters and a cliche story arc. each episode was predictable. telltale dropped the ball hard on this one. whomever was in charge of this season should not have another. such an underwhelming and disappointing entry.

Season 3 was actually my favourite... season 1 was my least... jk jk but season 3 was actually me 2nd favourite, with season 2 being my least. I think it was because clementine was weak af back then so it made the action sequences pretty... shit. And not many people listened to her because of her age, but javier was old enough to make a lot of tough decisions so a lot of the things he did were taken into account. Also he is way less depressing than clementine and can lighten the mood even more, even though clementine is still my favourite. For now.
