He shouldn't be involved unless clem goes back to richmond like another poster said before me. Javi's story is done though. If aj's alive or not you should have the option to go back to richmond or to leave it behind.
yes i think he should be!!! with a new frontier and javi being the protagonist in it, the walking dead is no longer only clem's story, but also javi's story. i think should (probably will) do little scenes back to javi in richmond each episode to check up on him, as i think this is only the beginning of the story of javi and clem and what they may experience together. otherwise, what would've been the point of javi being the protagonist in a new frontier, or a new frontier as a whole?
i just hope that if they end up doing the dual playable characters thing again, that they actually put time into it and we get relevant, wholesome scenes that contribute to the story and character development.
Well of course. Season 1 was about Lee and Clem, Season 2 was about Clem, and Season 3 was about Clem and Javi -- huge mistake in S3 as it should have only been about Clem.
Anyways, each game is not only about Clem, but these games are definitely her story, yet they forgot about that in S3.
Well at least telltale tried something new. It would have been a waste if every season was the exact same, ending with only 2-3 characters alive, having the same central focus, and story. Season 1 was about survival, season 2 was the same, season 3 was about trying to bring the new frontier to justice for everything they've done. But nobody seems to give season 3 credit for trying new things.

I enjoyed a new frontier more than season 2. I would prefer to play as clem for most of season 4 just so her character isn't ruined any more by an npc but apart from clementine making stupid decisions I enjoyed it and would like to see javier and the characters that I had alive in my ending.
I've seen many people say something like this here, about how liking Javi and the Garcias and ANF in general seem to get attacked here. What's wrong with this place.
It's just other people's opinions. I just think some take the subject more seriously than others. I've also noticed how many people talk trash about the devs but when it comes to AMA's, they are kissing their asses and giving praise, and when they do criticise they do it mildly instead of saying they should be fired like they normally do. It's very confusing.

I'll give them credit for trying something new, but they're doing it wrong. This season was about family, but the lazy writing made me care less about Javier's family. What made the other seasons' characters good was because your relationship with them started blank, as in you never met them before so you can decide whether or not to care about them. With Javier, they want you to care about his family, despite their many flaws that rubbed fans the wrong way (the biggest one being Gabe).
Telltale was basically like: "Yeah so, like, this is your family now...care about them."

Yes. He didn't die YET.
So his story isn't over YET.
In the AMA is it said the Garcia's aren't over yet, so we will see Javi again.
For a reason Javi can tell Clem at the end to bring AJ back to Richmond or leave him be when he is happy.
I got the feeling this will end up Clem and Javi as only survivors.
I already like Javi more than Clem.
Clem alone is boring.
Javi played the biggest role of Season 3. So this series is not just about Clementine.
Lee also played the biggest role in Season One, but the series isn't about him, what makes Javier so special? Because he lives?
You must correct: it was a waste to you and not to other fans.
I really hope we play Javi again.
Playing Clem alone is boring.
At least Javi had some funny sentences and humor.
Just playing Clem will be boring playing sour little girl victim again.
I am happy you totally understand there should be a good reason for playing ANF and Javier.
ANF feels a bit like a background story of Javier with a more important role in the future.

He was way more interesting than Clementine in Season 2 and ANF.
I only liked the Clem from Season 1. She was way more realistic.
Not this fancy disney Clem from Season 2 and ANF.
Very unrealistic teen girl character in a real walking dead universe.
A real young girl walking alone in this dark world would have encountered much more horror like physical and sexual abuse like the teen Lydia in the comics and even an adult like Michonne.
But I guess Telltale can't do this with a large public of kids playing this game.
I just received this abusive private message from a certain person just because I expressed myself in this thread for enjoying playing Javi.
I don't want any secrecies in my private box:
"zucktheduck sent you a message
zucktheduck
can you shut the fuck up about your stupid fucking boner you have over Javier? literally no one cares about what you think so just shut the fuck up. Javier is over, done, forever."

in my opinion, that's what i feel it is! even the finale felt unfinished for javi and his story, although people think that him being the richmond leader cements his place in the series and ends his story which i disagree with. i feel there's much more of javi to explore, otherwise it was pointless to introduce him. so i don't understand the complaints from people saying they don't want to see him or richmond again.

Neither do I. There's still supply runs that he can go an and also the threat of hostile communities and another herd returning. Also the possibility that he can leave somebody else in charge on Richmond while he leaves to help clementine look for AJ so we can explore their relationship more.

Didn't you say you were leaving the walking dead forums once a new frontier was finished? I also remember you saying that you would not play the series again. AND I saw you in another discussion saying that it should be 50% clem and 50% javier.
Didn't you say you were leaving the walking dead forums once a new frontier was finished?
If you still haven't noticed, I've been commenting less and less and will be gone so be glad you won't see my name again for the next two years or so, possibly never, or maybe I'll stay and not give a shit about what you say aka you'll see my name. Maybe I'll keep talking. Maybe I'll pull a Telltale and lie to everyone, but no one except you gave a shit.
I also remember you saying that you would not play the series again.
I won't PLAY/BUY it instantly but I will WATCH Ep1 of S4. If there's an improvement, yes I'll come back so too bad you have to endure seeing my name again.
AND I saw you in another discussion saying that it should be 50% clem and 50% javier.
I never said I would want a 50/50. I said I would be FINE with it if that was the case. Read my shit properly if you can even be bothered then talk to me ty.

i wouldnt really mind having Javier as a side playable character in the next season having him make decisions about how to run Richmond thought i would like to see a 50/50 split and have the game focus on both of them something that New frontier should have done.
I'd actually prefer a 50/50 split but I didn't want literally every comment being no and roasting me. At least we have a few saying yes for the smaller scenes. I can't see clem getting into an actual fight with another human and winning somI think we need javier to do that stuff, seeing as I enjoyed them in season 1 and 3. Season 2 obviously didn't have any hand to hand combat with humans.

i think it is possible to have Clem in fight scenes albeit it being something like her outsmarting the person instead of a normal fight scene like the ones we have with Javier and Lee.

I think everyone is trying to say they want S4 to MAINLY focus on Clementine because she's a main character in the whole series, but was shoved to the side in favor of Javier, a character no one is familiar with. To me, he's simply bland so I think he's better off as a side character rather than a playable one. Also, Javier doesn't have much variety as a playable character like Lee. With Lee you can be a kind guy, an asshole, or a cold hearted S.O.B. His character is defined by those around him. His relationship with those characters will show how protective Lee can be, unlike Javier. Even if you decide to be an asshole to your family and friends, they won't criticize you in the slightest.
If anything, Javier should be only played in Flashbacks in S4 and not in the current time. Maybe a 5 or 10 minute flashback with him every episode will be good. Clementine should be the main focus and central character in S4, because her story is A: not finished and B: will be continued next season.
TBH I've change my mind, I either want 50% clem and 50% javier or have javier as a side character and be in every episode. Also I think javier can have more variety. He can be charming, funny, evil, kind, protective, violent. I currently have a save of him being a mixture of funny, charming and protective (my main one) and my 2nd one is him being a violent asshole who told David he will be gone after his dad's funeral and that he will not look after Kate. I also have a 3rd but I am re doing that 1 at some point.

Clementine wasn't alone for the majority of S2, the same with NF if you stayed in Wellington, with Kenny, or with Jane.
Not EVERY young girl gets raped in the apocalypse...you do know that, right? Sophia in the comics wasn't raped and she's the same age as Clem, along with Edith from the TV show. Lydia was a part of a group that condoned rape, but she didn't speak up about it because she thought it was normal.
He was way more interesting than Clementine in Season 2 and ANF.

i feel like the thing with Javier being playable could be interesting in a way of actually being in complete Charge of a group which could bring some interesting choices and feel althought im not saying Clem shouldnt be playable at all like what happened in New frontier i think it would be better to just have a 50/50 split i mean in GOT telltale managed to have 5 different playable characters in different areas so what s the big deal with 2 ? Since they also showed they could manage it in borderlands.

How do you suppose that could work? TBH I kinda prefer it when they are head to head and smashing heads into walls and stuff. I really liked the badger vs javier and the David vs javier because of how good javier is at fighting, but to our knowledge clam has never had a fight before. I also liked lee vs Andy St. John as well as lee vs kenny.

Because Telltale promised the fans Clem and Javi will have 50/50 playtime when New Frontier was announced and in development. Fans are just furious that it didn't happen and simply our trust with them is declining.

She should return to Richmond. Or playing Season 3 was abdolutely a waste.
I don't think Telltale will do this.
If it is up to me I want Javier playable again for 90% with the Clementine flashbacks.
It already is.
