I don't know about the first part, but what made it frustrating in Joan's case is that she had a much different, more morally ambiguous char… moreacterization initially and instead of taking full advantage of that for once, they just decided to dramatically shift it for the sake of it.
Yeah that's why I didn't pick Lilly, without the original writer I don't think they would give her character justice. Though if she came back I hope I'm wrong.

Telltale's lack of writing ability these days in my opinion wouldn't have made a lot of difference had Kenny not returned in Seas… moreon 2 anyway. Seriously! I honestly believe they wouldn't have developed characters any better as Season 3 demonstrated that their quality writing team has diminished
Oh for sure. In a way it's a blessing that Lilly and Christa or any other character won't return as their legacy is highly at risk of being tarnished. They totally shit on Kenny and Jane's characters in Season 3, didn't know or want to include them into S3's story (they definitely could have!) so they did the cheapest, quickest and shittiest deaths imaginable. Something i will never forgive them for and given how S3 finally turned out, i am glad i will never purchase another of their games again

The shift, you know the old (The nicest one is really the bad guy.) I'll admit initially didn't see it coming but still the shift went very cliche. All of a sudden her real self came out.
Yeah I think S2 just had to many endings for them to actually make them a big part of S3. I think I'll get the Final Season just because it is the final season.
