There is not a right choice or worst choice. Right choice depends on your perspective. Its about your view to this situation.
If you think Larry was still alive and it was worth a try to make sure he cant come back and later put him out of his misery, help Lilly is right.
But if you think Larry was totally dead and giving him a CPR was too way risky cause of possibility that he would reanimate in no time and attack everyone, help Kenny is right.
I helped Kenny. I was thinking that he would likely couldnt survived in that situation because he needs to take nitroglycerin pills to survive from heart attacks. But eventually they ran out and Larry had a heart attack. It was too risky to help him. Especially I think Clem's safety so I decided to help Kenny. Reanimation could happen real fast.
Besides, Larry was a serious liability. He threatened me and tried to kill me. I didnt forget that. So I did the same treatment for him( He said that he will put an axe to Lee's skull when he died and started to turn, I did the same thing). Lilly lost her mental health but did I regret ? No, I would do it again.
Sorry to revive a dead post, but I got back to playing TWD after about 5 years, and I'll say that, In instances like this, I just remember how Lily and Larry we're sooo quick to want to put a still conscious and living Duck, down for an "assumed" bite.
There was a lot more reasonable doubt in Duck's case, than Larry's. But you don't see Larry and Lily trying to play nice and save a child, you only see them adamant to smash a child's brain in.... so fuck Larry.
This was actually a difficult decision for me to make. I understood both perspectives. Lilly was hoping she could revive him through CPR and Kenny didn’t want to take the risk of Larry turning. I sided with Lilly not because I hate Kenny or anything like that, and I actually understood his perspective but ultimately I think Lilly had the more sensible plan. Larry wasn’t dead yet and you can keep an unconscious person alive for a long time through CPR and even if Larry did turn, he would only be one walker and I think Lee, Kenny, and Lilly could have handled him if he did turn.
Well here's a nice necro thread lol. Seriously, do people just go digging through months and months of backlog threads looking for something to necro? I just checked. I had to go to page 36 to find something from June of last year. Why...
But on the topic, Larry was dying. If he wasn't already dead his heart condition was becoming too much of a liability for the group. He could kill over at any time, and if it happened at night when everyone was asleep, he could have half the group eaten before anyone could stop him. Killing him is the smart play.
Yes but he wasn’t dead. He wakes up a second before kenny drops the thing on his head if you try and revive him. Also, if Clementine fainted you wouldn’t want someone to smash her head in incase she’s was dead, you’d have someone try and revive her first
Yah, because Larry was a strong dude and if he came back he would have been even stronger than if he was alive due to the limitations of muscle and joint pain no longer holding him back. It would've been as difficult as fighting a Grizzly bear in a closet Bare-handed. But with Clem... Even with her boost in strength, Lee, or anyone, could still overpower her because of her size. She wouldn't be nearly as much of a Risk. Plus, anyone notice that we first meet Larry accusing us that someone needs to be put down because of how dangerous they could become, and he leaves is on the same predicament? ...Was that foreshadowing?
Yes but he wasn’t dead. He wakes up a second before kenny drops the thing on his head if you try and revive him. Also, if Clementine fainted… more you wouldn’t want someone to smash her head in incase she’s was dead, you’d have someone try and revive her first

Like I said, even if he wasn't actually dead, he was becoming a huge liability to the group. His heart condition was only getting worse due to the stress of the their new world and he could die any time, whether then and there in that barn or the next day or in a week, he'd die and be a huge problem for the group if he wasn't dealt with immediately. He was a giant monster of a man and without the limits we impose upon ourselves because of pain, he'd easily be able to overpower everyone. Worse yet, if he died in his sleep, while everyone else was sleeping, he'd be able to kill who knows how many people before he was stopped. And yes, that's a risk with anyone, but his heart condition made him an extreme risk. Plus let's not forget that he wanted to kill a child out simply for covered in zombie muck. Karma is a bitch.

It was ambigious whether he was alive or dead. Telltale have said this so many times. His mouth twitching upon cpr could have been anything. The point is he was beyond saving anyway. If Larry had been revived he would die soon after without medical help which they didn’t have trapped in a room. Even if they got out, the time to find meds or defibrillator wouldn’t have helped especially the farmers still being around to stop them and then the walkers invading the farm. How is anyone going to keep Larry alive through all that? Im sorry but no, Kenny did the sensible thing, the hard thing to do that no one else did at the time. Risking Larry turning is stupid beyond belief. If he turned during say mouth to mouth for example, Larry would take a chunk out of Lilly or Lee’s face, i also wouldn’t be so sure that 3 people could hold Larry down when he tries to attack, he’s a lot bigger than any other walker they had previously dealt with and you’d need someone to put him down, who would do it if the 3 were busy? Clementine? Lol.
I just think a lot deeper about that scene than most i guess. I think a lot of people aren’t truly imagining themselves in that room instead of behind a computer screen where decisions are a lot different than if the situation was real

Yeah, if Larry had been revived his odds of survival wouldn't have been optimal. However, if Larry had been killed by natural causes, by the St. Johns, or walkers, Lilly wouldn't have had so much anger and paranoia directed towards the group. This could have reduced her instability and potentially saved Carley's/Doug's life.
Im sorry but no, Kenny did the sensible thing
I never said Kenny didn't have reasoning to do what he did. Like I said, it was a very complex situation and a difficult decision to make. I don't hate Kenny for what he did and I can see why you chose to side with him. I understand that you sometimes have to make the hard decisions to survive. I agreed with Kenny when it came to taking the supplies, the group was starving. Thing is, there was plenty of reasoning behind helping Lilly as well. Try to save Larry first and if he turns then you can take him out.
Risking Larry turning is stupid beyond belief. If he turned during say mouth to mouth for example, Larry would take a chunk out of Lilly or Lee’s face
Yes mouth to mouth would have been stupid but Lee and Lilly weren't using mouth to mouth.

Hmmmm an ex-military woman and two full grown men who have each proven that they are capable survivors against one large, slow moving, mindless, walker. Yeah, they totally don't stand a chance. Larry was already on the ground. If he did turn, all they had to do was keep him pinned long enough for one of them to take him out with the salt lick. And even if Larry managed to stand up, a swift kick to the knee would have knocked him right back to the ground.
I just think a lot deeper about that scene than most i guess. I think a lot of people aren’t truly imagining themselves in that room instead of behind a computer screen where decisions are a lot different than if the situation was real
Yess! We are all but mindless worms who can only dream of thinking deeply the way you obviously do. Arrogant much?

Taking a dangerous risk like that isn’t worth putting yourself and 3 other people in danger. It’s just stupid. Plus Larry punched Lee in the face and left him at the drugstore, he wasn’t worth it at all and he definitely wouldn’t have tried to save Lee. Fuck Larry. And as hard as it was for Lilly, her emotional state wasnt as important as surviving at that moment in time.
Yes mouth to mouth would have been stupid but Lee and Lilly weren't using mouth to mouth.
Larry could still have lunged upon turning. CPR was hardly any different as they were very close by to him.

Not arrogant, just honest about how i see it and i think you have predictably took my post the wrong way and if anything what you have just said is arrogant. I am saying that people’s perspective of that scene would be very different if they weren’t behind a screen choosing an option.
Anyway I wasn’t intending to argue. Thanks for the reply

Yeah that's one of the best scenes from season 1,no matter what people say i still think Larry could have been alive if Kenny didn't kill him.
I love how people are still debating season 1 choices even after all this time.
Yeah that's amazing,It really shows how good season 1 was, maybe too good for Telltale considering they never did better than season 1.
Maybe it’s due to necromanced 2015 threads…

I tend to reply to whatever i see on here to be fair. It is a forum after all lol, and yes, peace ✌️
