Let me clarify--I don't remember seeing that many theories here. The handful I recall were from before and very briefly after we actually learned of what the Season would involve.
‘DomTheBomb’ normally covers those, so it may be worthwhile to check out some of his videos. There are also other channels that provide interesting speculations if you are in need for more information regarding the last season.

I generally stay away from Youtube theories.
Tbh I don't wanna jinx myself because like once I felt like there was a possibility they teamed up I was so down with the idea but I feel like it has to be both Lily and Christa at this point. It would be really cool and if any of you had played uncharted lost legacy I can see them having a sort of similar dynamic to Nadine and Chloe.
Like the furthest I'd say is arvo or some shit lol.

I mean, not that I dislike Jesus' character. He's pretty interesting to me. But I feel like Christa or Lilly would be far better suited.
I agree. I don't dislike Jesus as a character, but I'd rather see Christa, Lilly, or even Molly make an appearance. It'd be nice to catch up with old characters we haven't seen in a while.
I mean, not that I dislike Jesus' character. He's pretty interesting to me. But I feel like Christa or Lilly would be far better suited. If … moreJesus returns then a lot of the tension regarding his character is just pushed to the side because he isn't a TTG character, so I don't think it's up to them to decide if he can die or not. Since the series follows the comics timeline. I'm personally not a fan with having characters from the comics transition over to the game simply because TTG has restricted creativity involving them.
I wouldn't say that Lilly/Christa won't be in it yet. But I definitely would be lying if I said I'm not disappointed with the news here.
If you are going to apologise, at least mean it. ‘Sighing’ comes across disingenuous. You are right: online communication can be interpreted in different ways, but you can make it less ‘flawed’ by not being rude.

I strongly believe Christa died off screen no matter what choice! You can hear her grunt in pain and a shot off screen when you start getting chased by the scavenger guy

I have to wonder if they're under some sort of contract with Kirkman to include him. Otherwise I don't see any reason to bring him back over any other character
Personally I think they should be done with Javier, his story is finished imo. He was a very uninteresting character from my point of view. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to bring him up once or twice in a conversation or something similar.
What does that have to do with anything?? We are talking about the potential returning character here. If the returning character really is Jesus, that means he has plotarmor and can't die and is just there to look cool. I swear, if Clementine would die in ep 1 and we would then play as Javier again, you would still defend Telltale.
Just like any other fan of Telltale’s Walking Dead I would be extremely annoyed if Telltale did kill her.
And as for Jesus... he may serve an important role to the plot. There is nothing wrong with having him there.
And I know who we are talking about. At no point did I derail or go off topic. I said that Telltale may write a more compelling story with Jesus and any other comic book/ returning characters as with A New Frontier and how constant the rewrites were it was hard for people to get to know the characters and sympathize with them.
I used the word “them” as according to the Road To Survivals datamine leaks there is a new version of Javier releasing along with the Boarding School group.
Telltale did say that Javier will not appear in the Final Season. I was kind of thinking they may show a flashback explaining why Clementine decided against staying in Richmond/ Why she is not staying in Richmond but know that I have thought about it more I am not sure how likely that is.
As for Comic Book characters they are there to tie in Telltale’s story with the Comic Book Story. You may view them as someone who just stands there and looks cool but to others including myself they add to the Story and connect the Telltale Series to the Comic Book Series.
I defend Telltale as I see they receive a lot of shit. If anyone here were to put themselves in the very same position that employees at Telltale are in they would crumble under the pressure. I would crumble under the pressure.
I don’t see how my defence of Telltale has to be regarded as something terrible. I defend them because of Empathy. They don’t have it easy. They are under a lot of pressure with The Final Season. Like many other people have said this is a make or a break for Telltale. Even I, someone who empathizes with Telltale and their Employees can see that. I am sure even Staff can see that a lot is riding on The Final Season.

You know if the final Season does happen in the same time frame as in the comics i wouldnt be surprised if telltale did another "see you space cowboy" thing with him and kill him off. ((Althought i do agree that Lily or molly would be better characters to return... and Christa too i guess.))
I strongly believe Christa died off screen no matter what choice! You can hear her grunt in pain and a shot off screen when you start getting chased by the scavenger guy
There was a leak with Javier? That has to be fake though, Telltale has straight out said several times that none of the Garcias will appear at all. And by "not appearing", I'm sure they mean that the voice actor of Javier for example will not record any lines, we will simply NOT see Javier or any of the Garcias this season, which includes flashbacks. But yeah, I REALLY hope they will explain why Clem is just ignoring Richmond because ANF not making an impact in season 4 really pisses me off.
I believe that some comic book characters (like Glenn and Hershell) can be interesting to see, because it makes you go "Oh I know that character! Cool to see him/her here!" but it also makes you think "Eh they are comic characters, they can't die so who cares" while you are afraid that all the other characters can die any second. If you look at all scenes with Jesus in ANF, you will see that his dialogue is very insignificant and that people only like him because he is badass, he doesn't contribute to the story at all, in fact you could cut out Jesus completely in ANF and the story won't change a bit.
Also, Telltale receive a lot of shit for a reason, you're treating them like they haven't done anything wrong and that the disapointed customers are just evil for criticizing their extremely obvious flaws. If you are disapointed with something, you don't just sit back and do nothing because "Telltale are under a lot of pressure", no you fight to make a difference. Imagine if a president makes a huge mistake and the people in that country go "Eh the president is under a lot of stress, let's not complain, he has a tough job".

Just give some of his scenes to Tripp and you're done.

And the Javier leak..... That was for Road to Survival, a mobile app. There was a datamine in the Road To Survival app that showed there will be a new variant of Javier. Which is what made me think it could have meant some sort of appearance for Javier in The Final Season because he is being released along with the Boarding School group at some point in the Road To Survival app. You may have missed that part of my comment. This video will explain what I meant in relation to Javier and why I plucked the possibility of him returning in a flashback:
And by "not appearing", I'm sure they mean that the voice actor of Javier for example will not record any lines, we will simply NOT see Javier or any of the Garcias this season, which includes flashbacks
cheers for letting me know I think the exclusion of Jeff Schine would pretty much mean the exclusion of Javier so thanks for pointing that out.
I believe that some comic book characters (like Glenn and Hershell) can be interesting to see, because it makes you go "Oh I know that character! They tie in the Game Series with the Comic Book series. It would be odd for them not to bump into each other as both the Game and the Comics take place in Virginia and they are some of the only living people in that area that we know of. Plot-armour or no plot-armour they serve as a tie in and they do play a role in the story.
in fact you could cut out Jesus completely in ANF and the story won't change a bit.
Actually no because Jesus informed the Kingdom of what was happening at Richmond with Joan and Clint. He also informed the group that Richmond was under the control of the New Frontier. So yes the story would kind of change if he was removed completely.
And to me it seems you picked Jesus as he appeared in a game that was plagued by constant rewrites which in turn caused the plot of the game to be confusing to and disliked by many fans. If A New Frontier had not encountered the problems that it had during its time of development and if the last minute rewrites did not happen then I bet nobody would have complained about the role that Jesus would have had in A New Frontier.
Also, Telltale receive a lot of shit for a reason, you're treating them like they haven't done anything wrong and that the disapointed customers are just evil for criticizing their extremely obvious flaws. Yes yes the customers are evil and I cannot abide it. Jokes aside I can see the "extremely obvious flaws" but that does not stop me from loving their games. What game company has a clean slate and hasn't done anything that did not anger fans? I also think the word evil is a bit of a stretch. I don't think anyone is evil. Did I say that those people were evil?
If you are disapointed with something, you don't just sit back and do nothing because "Telltale are under a lot of pressure", no you fight to make a difference.
Did we not already do that? Isn't that why Pete Hawley is the CEO? Isn't that why the Board of Directors went and searched for a suitable candidate for CEO which according to sources was a long and tiring process? Because the Community voiced their complaints isn't that why Telltale's Board and Pete Hawley thought it was best to cut 25% of their workforce and slow down production in order to improve the quality of their games which is something that many people are unhappy about?
Imagine if a president makes a huge mistake and the people in that country go "Eh the president is under a lot of stress, let's not complain, he has a tough job".
I was referring to everyone at Telltale not specifically the CEO as Pete Hawley and his position would bear more resemblance to the position of a President than a Lead Writer or a Narrative Designer would. But yeah having empathy and putting yourself in that position is what influences why I think of Telltale in such a positive light. I may not be the most positive person on the planet but I want to and try to be. But how come being positive about Telltale and The Final Season results in me being told I call the customers evil and ignoring the flaws that were apparent in Telltale through 2014-2017?
I want to say that you sound very familiar. Do I know you from Discord maybe? Oh and judging by your response and how you phrased your comment it seems you have a problem in particular with me and my view towards Telltale. Why is that? If people are allowed to view Telltale in a negative light then why can't I view Telltale in a positive light without being questioned as to why I like Telltale. I don't have to follow the crowd. Alright, sorry. You do not have to bark down my throat; I was only trying to be helpful.
Oh no no no, I wasn't trying to shut you down or anything.
I just haven't had much inclination to check out those videos.
WOAH BRO ok we get it chill...Come on man there are children present, there's no reason for that.
What are you talking about?
A character's whose involvement was pointless from word go? Let's bring him back
Ok man we know you're serious...Just put the knife down and we can just talk this all out alright?
Glad we got that mischaracterization straightened out. And hopefully whatever this one is
I just find that you are abrupt and sharp in conjunction to my post and others' when all I was doing was responding to your question.

Sigh...sorry about that. That was seldom the intent.
Text is a simple medium of communication. And a flawed one.
Huh.
I thought that Lily and Arvo could be a interesting teamup myself.
I agree. I don't dislike Jesus as a character, but I'd rather see Christa, Lilly, or even Molly make an appearance. It'd be nice to catch up with old characters we haven't seen in a while.

I think you’re being even more rude tbh they did not mean to be rude and apologized.
D’cha want some? I give it yah; you got no franz.
Awww that was the sweetest thing anybody has said to me today! Thank you so much!
But I did mean it, I really don't know how you got some aggressive tone out of my replies there, I was really sorry for that misunderstanding, and I was sighing because of a really unpleasant sense of deja vu.
I am only joking. The video still makes me laugh though. ?
Water under the bridge. xo
Lol sorry if I came across as rude :’)
Not at all!
I strongly believe Christa died off screen no matter what choice! You can hear her grunt in pain and a shot off screen when you start getting chased by the scavenger guy
Dabig is often very blunt, I tend to poke fun at him but he's good people.

You can't know if his purpose is to "look cool" in the Final season. Or do you already know how episode 1 goes?
Why do you think he is only in the final season to look cool?
You know if the final Season does happen in the same time frame as in the comics i wouldnt be surprised if telltale did another "see you space cowboy" thing with him and kill him off. ((Althought i do agree that Lily or molly would be better characters to return... and Christa too i guess.))
Because that's ultimately part/all of the reason behind his presence in ANF.
First rule of TWD in anything: if you dont see them die, they ain't dead
I thought we were talking about the Final Season.
Oh, they are. It's just that there's some good precedent for them to feel that way.
Like I said, Jesus can't die... comic book characters don't die. So he would just be there to look badass just like in ANF.
There was a leak with Javier? That has to be fake though, Telltale has straight out said several times that none of the Garcias will appear at all.
