Wild theory: Do you think that guy in the trailer is dating Lilly?
They both seem to be set up as the antagonists of the season, but there only seems to be one opposing faction, and if they're likely both leaders, then the only other way they could co-lead is if they just, like, co-led, and I don't think there's enough trust between survivors these days to have shared leadership without it being a romantic partner.

This concept was scrapped because it didn't seem like an authentic Walking Dead story.
Cause Lily Caul was apparently dating the Governor? And because certain people say Lily should be a villain?

I don't know where you're getting the indication that Lilly's to be an antagonist. I mean, we don't even have any actual confirmation that she's returning (though it does look possible).
I'm guessing it's because the Madness Returns cinematic made her look like David at one point for who knows why.

You're right. Lilly's not presented in the best light, in all honesty, in those. I had more of an issue with Clementine's descriptions than with the illustrations, though. Since they seem to only serve in reducing Lilly's character to being solely "dangerous".

The guy in the trailer is Clementines real father who is revealed to be dating Christa, who is revealed as Clementine’s real mother, who is also the mother of Tenn(the baby she lost). The guy in the trailer is also revealed to be a cousin of Lilly whose father was Larry. It’s also revealed that Lilly and Kenny had an affair while he was married to Katjaa(hence their hostility towards each other)so Lilly is actually Duck’s real Mom. Larry and Pete were also brothers who got separated at birth. And Sarah wasn’t actually Carlos’ daughter. She was adopted. Her real father was...DAVID. And David is revealed to be the cousin of Lee in a post credits scene which sets up The Walking Dead: The Final Finally Finaliest Season in which all episodes will be written by Michael Bay and contain micro transactions. Oh, and the entire series is actually a prequel to La La Land.
