It would be worth a lot. It is lee after all.
What I'm tryin to say is too bad this series is primarily realistic(relatively speakin… moreg) with just a smattering of science fiction handwaving.
You don't like louis that much anymore?
Oh no, he's still technically my favorite TFS character, if I had to pick.
I was referring to the Violet end of that.
Hopefully ep 2 will cause you to like violet a lot or maybe even love her.
Mm...we'll see.
Don't be surprised if my attention is on another [white?] girl though.
I don’t understand why there is a debate about who’s a better character. They’re both great. The two characters are best friends who care for each other, so I’m just wondering why some people make it seem like they put each other down and has animosity towards each other.

Me, personally, my Clem works well with Louis. I think everyone has different Clementines and interpretations of her. And for some, Violet works! For some, Louis works well! (Did that make sense lol)
Me, personally, my Clem works well with Louis. I think everyone has different Clementines and interpretations of her. And for some, Violet works! For some, Louis works well! (Did that make sense lol)
Do note I make this connection based on how my interpretation of Clementine has developed as a character so this is by no means objective or end-all-be-all.
As I remarked in a thread nearly four years ago – my Clementine is not a nice, trusting, or kind individual. The world has “hardened” her. My Clementine is something of a cynic or perhaps a very darkened realist. of course Lee’s concerns echoed in her mind daily; to try to stay away from cities, to be smart and careful. I see a child that lost a lot of their innocence and naivety as the world seemed to knock her down at each turn as she found herself surrounded by death and misery. Clementine has been blunt, matter-of-fact, and sometimes apathetic (“It doesn’t matter”) throughout her time in the series as she stated deadpan questions (“Whose baby is it?”), blunt observations (“I know.”), and survival instincts.
There is something to be said when Carver told her that she was just like how he was and while she looked the devil in the eye without flinching she was terrified of that realization. Carver was a brutal, selfish, and obsessive man but he was also a smart, experienced, and clever survivalist. In her mind, she sort of agreed with him but she didn’t want to due to the aforementioned fear regarding it. When his death was presented in front of her—she watched perhaps to see not only Carver get punished but also to see the parts that were her in Carver punished as it would be blatant that Lee would of struggled accepting part of Clementine’s worldview.
But how does this apply to Violet?
Despite her relative inexperience as a survivor beyond one specific area, Clementine sees someone she can relate to. She's standoffish, blunt, and sarcastic. She has a certain "aura" to her that Clementine connects with on a emotional level and she's probably the most realistic or grounded of the boarding school survivors as far as Clementine can tell (before everything went up in flames). Louis' optimism and naivety reminds her of Gabriel García in a lot of ways and that was a person she did not really get on with too much beyond some superficial interactions. At this point in time Violet is the only person Clementine can relate to.
Sorry if that was a bit long, but yeah. Violet is like Clementine in her perspective, mannerisms, and attitude; even if it is less worldly.
I was just gonna skim across and not give much thought until I saw Gabe's name.
On one hand, I wouldn't call him optimistic in the traditional sense, but on another, he does sorta count otherwise. After all, he did maintain some semblance of aggrandized if confused values about him, not to mention his underlying desire to be with people and apparent tendency to...well, idolize certain among them.
Do note I make this connection based on how my interpretation of Clementine has developed as a character so this is by no means objective or… more end-all-be-all.

Gabe was...a somewhat complicated individual.
Louis is annoying and he is flirting with Clementine in pretty much every single one of their interactions together.
And your statement about him "getting stuff done" is completely false. His best friend Marlon doubts whether he will even show up to hunt. Louis does show up but he just fucks around and beats up a walker instead of helping Aasim.
Also in the first scene Clem tries teaching AJ that walkers used to be people and maybe we should respect their wishes, but suddenly it's cool and fun to beat one up for no reason while cracking jokes? Totally distasteful and the wrong message to send to AJ, who watches Louis the entire time.
Exactly the same reason I saw Violent more interesting than Louis. Louis just goes around and acts all about himself. He acts like Gabe a little annoyed way. But I do respect him in a way where he kinda presents humor in a ugly world. But I don't want that all the time. Gabe acted like that all the damn time. Goofy off and acting like a idiot and the romance with him? Was by farrrrr the worst forced romance I have ever seen in gaming history. He wasn't a good character. Louis is not that at all,but he starting to come off after the first ep. With Violet? She is a interesting cold but yet understand she tries to have a conversation with Clem. She acknowledges she has a habit of coming off cold, but I don't see it like that.
I saw it as lost love made her feel pain and lost even harder cause she loved Minnie and she is starting to have that same feeling when she sees Clem. When Louis sees Clem? It is same thing that Gabe did to Clem. Maybe if Louis wasn't humorous but a realist like Violet? Then maybe I could behind that, but I will never get behind that. Violet and Clem have good chemistry in a conversation and good interaction with each other when alone.

The goofy, playing around, overly flirtatious, comedic type isn't for me. Louis cringe singing and unfunny jokes don't help either. And the zombie piñata incident just killed his character for me. Clem's interactions with louis pales in comparison to clem's interactions with violet. Going fishing was more enjoyable than going hunting and imo violet's a better, cooler, and more interesting character than louis. Violet letting clem and aj run ahead of her and staying behind to deal with walkers then saving clem from the walker and bringing out her weapon if you appeal to her makes violet more of a badass than louis too.
Because I am a degenerate male who likes girls I guess.
I also tend to like the "Edgy/Depressed" characters in video games and shows (though I would probably not try so hard in real life to get someone like that)
I also like the idea of Clem getting along with a girl, considering she only ever really met 1 other girl even close to her own age if I recall
What scenes are you referring to?
I don't know how long you've been here, but if anything, Gabe's common issue among people early on was that he was took himself too seriously and was occasionally moody despite obviously still being pretty youngful not so deep down.
the romance with him? Was by farrrrr the worst forced romance I have ever seen in gaming history.
Good thing it was initially not there outside of the blown up imaginations of people looking for something to obsess about(not necessarily in the "positive" way) until Telltale decided to oblige them for some fuckin reason and then eyedropped it in a few very scant moments that would've happened anyway, with only a determinant-determinant ending actually doing anything with it in a very "have our cake and eat it too" way.
When Louis sees Clem? It is same thing that Gabe did to Clem.
Again, explain this.
Like, I see a very tiny correlation or two amongst the two, but I really don't get this thought process.

Because one is a flake and the other is a grumpy teen with a chip on her shoulder. I can understand a grumpy teen and handle them effectively. Louis is a flake who would rather hit on Clem and play Walker Piñata, which is pretty screwed up when you stop and think about it. I wouldn't want to see Clem end up with him Leeching off her like he did to Marlon.
Louis and to an extent Tenn/Violet are the only characters that come close to Marlon and AJ in terms of what people can really discuss, take a side, and spend much time on right now.
Even if it's been primarily for the wrong reasons thus far.

Man TT adding a lesbian character really was not necessary because now and for the rest of this season people will not remember this game because of its story.but they'll remember all the vi x lu war threads.

I'm pretty sure he means Clem.

the white? confused me. Thanks for the clarification.
Because people here like to take what's incidental or in good fun and blow it out of proportion.
No, not the yellow eyed Blasian.

Yes.
Sometimes people don't gravitate toward people who are healthier for them, ye?

He was an interesting character, yeah.

They both suck and if TT railroads us into this shipping instead of focusing on the actual plot, this season will suck.
am a straight girl. i like violet.
"Excuse me what the fuck"
i think louis is the equivalent of the funny guy in class that tries to hard. so i like violet more.
Ok but how being a straight girl makes u love violet? Ur wording in that comment made go NANI
I dont want clem to be alone. Its only game i dont have to be gay

Like a wise man once said:
"you do you,and I'll do me,and we won't have a problem probably"
I thought it was "and we won't do each other?"
I was having a serious problem remembering it completely so thank you for correcting it.
Holly shit people. You still are discussing about it?
Louis and to an extent Tenn/Violet are the only characters that come close to Marlon and AJ in terms of what people can really discuss, take a side, and spend much time on right now.
Even if it's been primarily for the wrong reasons thus far.
Stressful times if you ask me
Eh, if you care and/or let it bother you enough.

Honestly that's so true. Like I dont have a problem with lgbt characters but this season would be pretty much remember as the shipping war season.
The fact that ANF was essentially the "Ew, too much Shipping" installment doesn't make this look any better.
True. Well...i didn't necessarily think of ANF like that more like there was too much family drama that I did not want to be apart of.
