Who else told AJ that he was justified?

I have literally not seen a single youtuber tell AJ that what he did was correct.

Did anyone here make the right choice?

Am I the only one?

  • Well because he didn't do the right thing so he wasn't correct. That could maybe be a reason why almost no one has made that choice, but I of course might be wrong...

  • I am sure Call Me Kevin is going to tell him he was justified.
If you know who that is?

  • I did.

    I'm a terrible person.

  • I did and the fact that you can only get all the collectibles if you tell him he's justified basically confirms that it's the right choice and that the writers want you to have AJ's back.

  • I LOVE Call Me Kevin

I am sure Call Me Kevin is going to tell him he was justified. If you know who that is?

  • Seeing as that particular collectible doesn't count towards the achievement, I think the writers were open to the idea of people choosing differently. :)

  • Respect. You have always been the best poster on here, pretty much anything you say is correct.

  • Well, it was worth collecting that Fireman.

  • No it isn't, lmao.

  • Nope! I get AJ's mindset behind it and I don't think it's something he should die for like a lot of people were saying he should after the episode was released but he needs to know it was wrong and Marlon wasn't a threat after Clem talked/beat him out of it.

  • Why would I tell him that when he was not ?

Not many told him that because the game whispers in your ear every 2 seconds "Your choices shape AJ" He will grow to be a ruthless mofo either way. He's kinda creepy but in a cool way.

  • He was wrong and it was right to tell him he was wrong.

  • Thanks pal I like the cut of your jib as well

Respect. You have always been the best poster on here, pretty much anything you say is correct.

  • I told him he was justified as well. I feel like what we told him will come into play later with Lily’s character. Like we’ll have Lily beat and she’ll be unarmed or something but not dead and if you told Aj he was justified he’ll shoot her and if you didn’t he won’t and that will lead to Lilly staying alive and doing something bad.

  • What collectables requires Clem to tell AJ it's justified? I told him it was wrong and still got all the collectables.

  • I love how you only reply to people who agree with you, completely disregarding everyone else and their arguments.
Makes for a very interesting discussion.

So far none of our "parenting" choices have had any major affect on AJ. He's still AJ more or less.

I do like the little things like the swearing thing and kicking in doors if your Clem kicks in doors too and stuff like that, but overall I'm not too impressed by the "YOUR CHOICES SHAPES AJ IN WHO HE BECOMES " appearing in the upper left hand corner everytime you have a conversation with him...

At this point it's window dressing.

Why would I tell him he was right to shoot an unarmed man?

  • I like making multiple playthoughts but teaching AJ that shooting unarmed people is ok is definitely not something ill choose on any of them.

  • Only psychopaths did.

  • theRadBrad told him he was justified, but I think he did it on accident. A lot of people in the comment section are kind of confused by his choices so far.

  • Why would I tell him he did the right thing when he didn't?

The world is not black and white as it is in aj's mind. Marlon wasn't a monster, he was a scared kid in way over his head who did make some monstrous mistakes, but he could be redeemed. AJ fucked up(though understandably so).

  • So as a correction the firefighter toy doesn't count as a collectible but it's still an awesome thing that you can put in your room and you see AJ sleeping with it later

I do think Marlon would become a loose end sooner or later, but you can't seriously think what AJ did was smart. It got us kicked out and, by extension, almost got AJ killed. Incentivizing this thoughtless decision making only worsens AJ's already really poor social awareness. If you're in a group/community you can't just go around doing whatever you please without thinking of what other people might think and do in response. It's especially stupid to do so if you're reliant on other people's judgment.

  • So that was the collectable. I remember that scene,

when Tenn wanted to give it to AJ and he refused it because he wasn't as good as a Fire Fighter. IMO he wasn't as good as a Fire Fighter by shooting Marlon in the back of the head, when he was no longer a threat. Fire Fighters are brave because they risk their lives to save people, and AJ does not meet the criteria of a Fire Fighter.

  • I like that AJ took the firefighter in my game because it comforted him and showed that at least Tenn still liked him. He wasn't brave in the exact same way that a firefighter would be but he still did what he thought was right for protecting Clem, he didn't do it because he just loves killing or anything twisted like that

  • I didnttt..well i wouldn't have if i had the game. I do not think it is justified to shoot someone who is surrendering and crying unless they did a HUGE injustice...personally.

  • All the school kids would be dead or enslaved if not for AJ and Clem.

    Fact or fiction?

  • It's crazy none of you see anything wrong with human trafficking and child enslavement.

  • Sure it's wrong but Marlon was no longer a threat when AJ killed him.
    It's that simple.

  • He deserved it tho

Sure it's wrong but Marlon was no longer a threat when AJ killed him. It's that simple.

  • Maybe, but AJ shouldn't have shot him then and there.
You don't go to a new place, kill their leader and expect good things to happen after that.
Hope him getting shot by Abel was a reminder that your actions have consequences.

    He deserved it tho

  • It's not as simple as that either. It's complicated. If he posed a threat in the future you should still put him down.

Marlon should be spared because A) He's a dumb scared kid in way over his head who made poor choices based on his fear, B) He knows he fucked up royal and is remorseful and C) That means he can be redeemed.

Sure it's wrong but Marlon was no longer a threat when AJ killed him. It's that simple.
