  • Yeah. Completely agree with all your points here. This is truly dissapointing writing which doesn't appear to have much consideration and hence is BS and made as the writers go along with input from fans.

I've always been of the mind that the entire structure behind the walking dead and its writing was off. I have no idea how S1 was made, but in season 2 they kept changing lead writer between episodes which led to really inconsistent characters and narrative development.

The best game story example seems to be the Witcher and the reason why that story works is because it's based on the work that just one guy wrote. You can't get a decent story out if the point of view heading the tale changes constantly.

If it was possible to go back in time and change course I would tell Telltale to have one lead writer and to write the entire story before structuring episodes. It just doesn't work writing from episode to episode and changing the story willy-nilly.

Alright I'm gonna go out on a limb here, hold my breath and hope I don't get bombarded: I think lately with both ANF and TFS the writing has been really shoddy, especially in regards to Clem. She is a mess of a character.

  • Kent Mudle has also confirmed Clem is bisexual on his Tumblr account. His account name is kmudle for those that want to read his post.

  • Agreed. I can't fathom how S1 was created. Bless you, Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin. Ya'll are great writers.

  • Today? What was his position in the company?

  • Yes, today. I Googled his LinkedIn for you to find this following information about his position.

"I was Creative Director for Walking Dead The Final Season. This means I was the head of all the creative content (writing, design, art, animation) for the entire season, as well as giving feedback and direction on the technical nature of the game, and acting as a public figurehead for media contact.

Short list of things I did as part of this position (things which largely apply to the rest of my Telltale career as well)

    • Managing a team of writers, and writing myself
    • Managing a team of designers
    • Doing much shipped design myself, from narrative sequences to puzzles to action
    • Giving cinematic feedback and direction
    • Helping to choose music for all episodes
    • Attending and Co direction voice acting sessions with almost all actors"

  • He worked on TWDG during season 2, worked on Batman (not ANF), and is now creative director of TFS (he did the AMA with Ian Howe the other day on Reddit)

  • Going through this forum today

  • Ah, okay, so he's effectively in charge of it right now and not just previously? That's good enough for me.

  • 100% agreed. For me, it seems like that this is just a service for the LGBT community. It's pretty much the same thing Job did on Twitter about Javi's sexuality last year. The only difference is, that Clementine has an extremely bigger fanbase than Javier, so nobody gave a shit about Javi being bi - and both Twitter-posts came out of nowhere with absolutely no clues.

I don't have a problem with Clem being bi-sexual at all, it just feels as forced as Gabentine in ANF and that it's only a fan-service. I spoke to one homosexual about this and he shares the same opinion. On Reddit, many people aren't taking this seriously too, or are even upset about this (yes, even bi/homosexuals)
