A first person horror game where you have to survive a home invasion. The game stars Zoe Kravits and Sadie Sink as the main protagonists, and Troy Baker as the slasher villain. The game is exclusive to Netflix and must be played with a phone as your controller.

Yeah, I've been seeing the trailers for that too. It's kinda neat and crazy to see games from Telltale alumni like this and Dispatch getting mainstream relevance.
Paramount hyped up Avatar Studios just to barely give a damn about the movie that's releasing this week, and now they're dumping the entire Seven Haven series in one day with only 26 episodes. The Netflix Last Airbender series will have more episodes by its end. It's never been more over.
On a more positive note I like the look of the series so far though I'm not sure how I feel about the new "future" outfits. They look so generic in comparison to the culturally inspired costume designs from Korra and Last Airbender. Hopefully it's not everyone that's dressed like that. Also as a Korra defender it looks like I have to put my armor back on considering in-universe they're portraying her as a villain (though it'll definitely be revealed that there was a misunderstanding).
If anyone's interested, Telltale is hosting a "Choices Matter Festival" on Steam so there's a bunch of games on sale and some upcoming ones being promoted which is pretty neat! There's even a cute little choose your own adventure quiz to help recommend games to you.

I just learned of this too. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuuuuuck you Netflix!! I was worried this would be how it ends for them. I knew Netflix's game's initiative wasn't sustainable and they'd eventually back away from it, but I hoped that at least Night School would return to being independent rather than just shut down...
Ugh this really freaking sucks... Also I had zero idea that Unhinged game even released, didn't even have it recommended to me on Netflix either! The heck??? (The reveal trailer had "Play Soon" ummm I would have prefered a date if it was actually that "Soon")

Once upon a time, a company named LucasArts decided to shut down its adventure game studios, just in time not to put out an anticipated sequel to the Sam & Max adventure game. A few employees decided to start another company called Telltale Games, which put out some Sam & Max adventure games, anyway. And this is not the only story like this. I hope the Night School workers have a similar inspiration.
Wow, that's a bit crazy - though perhaps not too unexpected with the general nature of the games industry right now. A lot of Telltale alumni went on to work at some talented studios like Night School, Campo Santo, AdHoc, etc., so I hope those affected can land on their feet.
