The reality is, MCSM, along many other Minecraft titles that are not...well Minecraft were historically forgotten, be it Minecraft Earth, or Minecraft Legends. These are all in the niche sphere after all.
Though, I do remember Minecraft Story Mode being very popular back in my day. But all the youtubers played it, and moved on. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just the game doesn't have many actual fans, people who play it once, forget about it. It doesn't offer exactly huge replayability value too.
Anyway, for this special day, I have prepared a little analysis of this thread. What I especially wanted to do, was to sync up the dates and see if we detoured in it process.
And, we did! And by quite a lot days. 40 to be precise. I of course don't know where the mistakes happened, nor do I care. Timezones are a thing after all. I calculated it using the timeanddate.com calculator.
Though, if you wanna check this on the website, it only shows the month and year (february 2021), and not the precise day. So, you might find it hard to figure out and verify my result. Thats why I prepared this short tutorial for you, if someone wants to retrace my steps and verify (on mobile firefox, PC might have different steps).
Open Firefox and go to the first page of the thread, but add "view-source:" before the link:
Go to menu (three dots), and select "Find in page". Type "datetime" there. About 40 results will come back.
Move to the second occurence, since the first message chronogeo has written was just introductory, and not the actual day (though, both messages were written on the same day, so it doesn't really matter if it is first mention of "datetime" or the second).
There, you will find the date 2021-02-23, as shown in this picture:
Finally, plug this to the timeanddate.com website, to see how many days has passed since that date and whatever "today" is.
Including the first day (23.02.2021) and today (24.09.2026), it's 2040 days from the first time chronogeo started counting, meaning we were 40 days off.
Note: Pictures cannot be uploaded here, so I had to use imgbb.com (Imgur is full). The photos there should remain at least 6 months, maybe longer. I marked it to never delete, but they might still do it after a year or two.

I wanted to pass on the torch to someone else before I do, but it seems nobody's been here for quite a while, so I am just gonna go, hoping for someone to take it up after me.
I think someone will, even though it might take a while, but in case no one does, the countdown ended on day 2040 (24.09.2026).
