To simply put, there are a lot of noteworthy details in this fight. You'll find Max's abilities useful too. Even just switching back and forth between Sam and Max changes some things.
Some taunts have different outcomes and you have to find where they're useful for, and you're actually asked to do some of them in an order.
It goes like this. "Skunkape taunts. He then hits me. Sam growls, he hits me, same growls, he hits me, same over and over"
I think i found a bug....i hope not.
Edit : Its a bug. That part of the game loops and doesn't start the conversation im MEANT to have. I can't finish the game. Ive reinstalled too. Nothing.
I'm afraid you encountered a bug. Try mashing the right click button. If you still can't get an options menu, try to save and load the game, or continue from an autosave.

Tried all of them. They don't help. Even reinstalling fails to fix the problem.
There must be some parameter that left unchanged that's not meant to, I guess. You may have done something unusual way before the game made an autosave for you. So, yeah.
I can try making a save for you to that point, if you want to.
Oh. Mine is not the Steam version. I wonder if save file works for both.
Leave it. Its okay. Il wait. I can't be alone in this bug and maybe someone from Telltale will see this and try to help. ...or il catch the ending on gameanyone..who knows.
Yes, as I predicted, it's about the Steam version. What's bad is that everyone bought the game from Steam probably will get that far and bite the dust.
alright, I get Paperwaite to blind him, and I attack him but he still stands!
I think you should make a new topic (or put those in spoilers) as there are people, reading this thread, to find a solution to get to this point of the game.
To hit him, you have to blind him. But hitting him only causes to go one step back. There is something else you have to do, and it IS about what happens after Skunkape takes that step back.
More inconveniently, there will be others trying to put even more obstacles. Just try any dialouges possible, and try to trap Skunkape while also trying to render others unable to interfere with your fight.
There are not one but two sub-puzzles more to knock Skunkape out, so I don't really want to just give it away for you. Just try it.

I'm not a very happy gal at all. :S If it's happened with two people, it means it's a bug in the game and not with our computers, so there's nothing we can do but wait.
I'm using it on steam and had no trouble. It's your computers.
Thanks for the rather jerkish reply...-_-
Right, i think i worked it out. Its because of the Desoto ironically. (i think i have the spelling right. Im tired)
Basically, you can't leave it at the museum. You have to drive it away from there when getting the last badge. If you leave it there, the game loops i think.
And considering ive had troubles with 2 games on steam. Magic the gathering and this, not NOTHING else. I doubt its my PC right now.

Wrong.
I've played through twice and on both occasions I left the Desoto at the museum.
There is no way you can leave it elsewhere, there isn't a teleport to the museum.

I finishd episode 303 5minutes ago.. and I have the Steam version and my car was at the museum..
So I think you're wrong..

I think you are wrong here. I left it there all the time. And I made it through without any problen (Steam Version).
I think what he/she is trying to say is that you need the Desoto where the last badge is to get the last badge, instead of leaving it at the museum and teleporting there instead. Or you need to move the Desoto from the museum if you teleported to the museum, and drive there separately.
The first one would be because of a missed variable that doesn't trigger properly (while common in TTG's games, it usually happens randomly and not connected to anything in particular), and the second one would possibly be because it put you in a slightly different area when you teleport to the COPS when the car is at the museum (which makes sense, as you are supposed to see the car when teleporting to it, and that confuses the game).
I suggest attaching your save game that had the glitch to a post on this thread and hopefully a team member will see this and start working on a bug fix.

We already tried that over at the steam forum. I gave them my savegame that works without any problems on my PC and let's me finish the game normally and they still have the same problem using it.
The way you solve the riddles or whre you park the car can be excluded as a reason for this problem.
It runs a timer. After a certain amount of time a scene plays (like, well, in the begin, but without a line inbetween). Why some Steam users have no time at all beats me though.
I guess it would help if we knew how this time is calculated, and how it would be possible a different PC configuration fastforwards it, or skips it, or makes it not run or whatever the case is...
I've started a thread in the support section on this.
Please have a read and if it affects you, but you have something in particular in your set up that doesn't relate to any of the points I already outlined, please feel free to say so

Occasionally, the dialogue wheel WILL pop up in the scene. It just flashes for a brief moment, disappears, and plays the scene with Sam growling and Skunkape tossing him to the wall.
Edit: I just fixed it. The problem is the processor cores; open the game, then use Task Manager to set the game's affinity to use 1 core instead of multiple.

I'm running the Steam version as well and ran into this bug. Did as XStationCube station suggested and that fixed it. Thanks mate!:)

Don't you get the chance of actually selecting what to do, like "Attack", "Taunt" or "Max"?
Nope. It auto does it.

You mean, even if you start the game from the beginning and make your way up to there again, just THAT happens and ruins your game?
That would mean id have to start again to test this bug and if it does, thats 10 hours ive wasted.
Done. Doesn't work.

ok, now I get it. and I beat the game. Thanks

That wasn't a jerkish reply. He was just saying your PCs might have encountered a bug because your PC might be getting old.
In short, its a problem with multi-core processors and the steam version. Setting the process affinity to 1 will fix the issue.
I'm running the Steam version as well and ran into this bug. Did as XStationCube station suggested and that fixed it. Thanks mate!:)
