Who did you save? Spoiler
I saved Pete because he's injured and can't fend for himself, and I think Nick could survive on his own as he had a gun, plus Pete saved my life and it's I cant watch him die even he's bit. But it looks like I am not the majority here.(40% saved Pete) What are your reasoning?

I believe the reasoning was that Pete appears to have been bitten, and thus is dead anyway. I also chose Pete, mostly because I found Nick to be annoying. It was probably the wrong call, but Pete is the only member of this group I like even a little bit so I thought I would giving the chance to milk a little more camera time.
Pete. It isn't my fault Nick can't aim for shit, and if he lives through this, he'll make a good ally. He was more or less open to Clem.
I went with Pete, because he was out of ammo and Nick wasn't. Also because he and Luke are the only ones I like so far. Besides, thinking about it, Nick would probably shoot Clem by accident or something. Given how he nearly blew her head off when she arrived at the house, and Pete's story about his first time hunting, I have no idea why anyone would trust that man with a gun.
I went with Pete. I felt hesitant at first because he was bitten, but I don't regret that choice (Apparently if you save Nick, Pete gets eaten). Besides, Nick's got a gun. He'll be fine... I think.
Also I prefer Pete's company over Nick's.
I went with Nick myself, for the same reason as the other person who did - Pete was bitten and already fucked, at least Nick has a chance. Though from the descriptions I've heard, it doesn't matter much because Nick probably survives anyway. :P
I went with Nick by accident .. I was all confused lol & them 5 secs was running out I thought I picked Pete but I guess not I might redo it tho
Lol. I did the exact same thing on my first playthrough. It was very hectic and I bugged out. I played a second time though and got it right. I didn't want to choose that jerk Nick who almost murdered Clementine. Pete was good to Clementine. He deserved to be helped.
I saw him being bit and i assumed he would be dead anyway, he also seemed to be very old (not too old of course) and decided that the younger and more healthy one would be my choice.
Many here say they like Pete more here and there but i really feel for Nick with Pete's story and when he apologized. He seems troubled and i think he can be a decent character if given enough help and time.
I saved Nick. I really liked Pete but that was my response because he was bitten. I know if you save Pete things looks better but thats my choice. Thats how i would choice in reality so i wont change it.
I saved Pete because he seemed both nicer and more competent than Nick. In the confusion, I didn't notice he'd been bitten; if I had, it probably would have changed my choice.
I saved Nick because he reminded me a lot of Ben, and Clem really liked Ben.
I've played through it twice already. Saved Pete the first time and Nick the second.
I saved Pete because
1. Nick is a jerk, he almost shot clem for christ sake, put the damn safety on.
2. Pete is kind to Clem, plus if he didn't help Clem out in the woods she would be dead.
3. Even though Lee Cutting his arm off didn't work in season 1, somebody said during the "should we help Clem or not" debate that they had a cousin or friend that cut a bitten limb off and they were fine, so i figured i'd try it again. I wasn't going to save him because of the bite, but, I remembered he saved me when he didn't know what had bitten Clem. So yeah, that's muh choice
Same here the way Pete was always bashing him reminded me of how Ben screwed up from time to time!
*Edit: Plus he was strong enough to lie about the bite, if he'd survived the attack it would either be Dead by the disease ipso facto a bullet to the brain or they would have to amputate that leg...
I saved Pete. If you save Nick, Pete dies no matter what. If you save Pete, Nick runs off into the woods. I'd rather see if we can save Pete than having his death guaranteed.
Same here.
Was that decision about saving someone? To me it felt like a decision "Whom do you go with?" How would Clem save one of them? She isn't armed (well she has that hammer), the guys are. Although one is out of ammo.
Anone else who didn't feel like the choice was about "who to save?"
What are the two outcomes?
I saved Pete, and saw Nick run off.
I do like your comparison to Ben. Just that Ben desperately didn't want to be stupid, and realised the seriousness of it. Nick just seems overconfident in other's ability to save him.
I missed the fact pete was out of ammo so I went to Nick. Honestly i regret it a lot but I'll live with it who knows maybe Nick will be a good guy to bond with while alone, i reallly need most of the cabin group on board
Luke,Alvin and Sarah seem on board
Rebbeca and Carlos seem suspicious
Nick is the middle guy so I think swaying him may be important, besides I think Pete is a goner
If you save Nick, he gets really sad/mad and asks why you didn't leave him and go to save Pete. He loves his uncle, even though he isn't good enough in his eyes. He's very Ben-like, with the tragic parent story, though different in that he knew his mom was dead, and he blamed himself for her death. He felt he was too trusting and that killed his mom, so his reaction to Clem maybe being bit is pretty understandable. He's got more on his plate than he knows what to do with and he is having trouble coping and everyone's ragging on him.
Does Pete die?
Only if you save/go with Nick.
Yeah, Pete was bitten, but in the episode 2 preview if you saved Pete it looks like he's preparing himself to cut off his leg.
AGH! KEEPING TRACK OF NAMES!
AGH!
i agree, i saw it as who should i escape danger with, so because pete was bitten i went with nick, plus i had previously forgiven nick so we were on good terms
Oh yeah, it was too many new characters, you don't spend enough time with. In episode 1 of season 1 you got to learn about the characters. So in the end of that episode they were set, and you knew their names. You even went on little adventures with Carley (Motor-Inn) and Doug (key-search on the street), to make that last decision more meaningful by having spent time with them.
In season two it's harder to keep track so far. And for now, I don't care as much for the characters. But I guess the ambiguity is by design. The motto of this season is "Who do you trust?" So you as player are not allowed to know too much about the characters in the beginning.
I think it's unfair to judge based upon him appearing to be bitten, if only because he repeatedly gave Clem the benefit of the doubt about her bite.
Pete.
He was out of ammo and injured, while Nick was both healthy and capable of defending himself. Also Pete had given Clementine the benefit of the doubt about her bite, and has probably been the nicest to her of anyone in the new group. Besides being the most vulnerable at that moment, I thought Clem owed him.
Only character I implicitly trust is Sarah, and that's because she PINKY PROMISED. The practice of finger-braiding is sacred and she wouldn't make such a promise lightly.
I went with Pete even though he was bitten, because **** nick that guy sucks
I chose Pete because his leg was injured.
Nick was able to run off on his own, Pete wasn't.
Now I wish I didn't because that probably means I have to saw his leg off and he'll die anyway.
For real he really did .. It's only two people that trust her Pete and Luke , I wasn't going to let Pete die off.
And at the same time, taking a bitten Pete back to that family and asking them to put HIM in a shed.
I know they were looking out for themselves, but jeez, that just isn't right. Or morally right for that matter.
I saved Pete, he could have cut himself and not be bitten. I like Nick, however Pete did save me and give me the benefit of the doubt. I do hope he's okay and we see more development between this relationship between Nick and Pete in the future. Even if Pete dies, I'd like to see Nick mourn him, perhaps confide in Clementine about all the things he wanted to say and such.
Maybe we could see a lighter side to Rebecca, and the other members in the group.
I saved Nick because Pete was bitten and I thought that saving Pete would end with two corpses in Clementine's hands at the end so I stick with Nick. Pete was the nicest guy from the group. Poor guy.
I didn't remember that it's probably that he would survive from the bite by cutting his leg but it's not for sure. Besides, the time was running down for me to pick a choice.
Nick, Pete was done for.
Pete was annoying and dumb, I'm actually surprised at how many people saved him. I went with the nice old guy. Bit or not he was out of ammo, nice, and was the only guy in the group who I actually liked somewhat. Plus someone mentioned chopping off a bit limb and it working so I figured he could still be saved if we acted quickly enough.
It would've been nice to have the option to talk to everyone though, get to know them. Especially before having to make a choice like that. Ah well.
Pete. I saw the wound, but I didn't know if it was a bite. When I got up close and realized it was, I was pissed at myself. I rewound on a new save slot and checked what happened if you save nick, and Pete flat out dies.
For the record, Nick is on the side of the river that the cabin is on. He probably made it to the house.
As to why I saved him, I'm not sure. If he wasn't bitten, he would have been a clear choice for most people. My guess is that I choose him because I owe him (and Luke) my life, and he gave me the benefit of the doubt before.
So... I'm probably going to have to cut off Pete's leg.
"That is gonna suck."
The old guy is Pete. Nick is the "annoying guy".
I choosed Pete caus he didnt hd ammo and if they didnt killed Nick it may be cause he will return
I chose Nick because Pete was bitten and he's old and Nick is young and seems kind off nice and sort of like Kenny and i thought if i save Pete when we go back the group will want to kill Pete like they wanted to kill Clem or that Pete will be mad for not going to Nick.
