I saved Pete because he was out of ammo whereas Nick could defend himself. And, I figured we could possibly amputate his leg to stop him from turning, which will be a possibility from the looks of the preview for episode 2.
I chose to save Nick because I figured that whichever character I didn't save would die and I saw that Pete was already bitten anyway. I wonder if I made the wrong decision
I went with Pete, even though I saw he was probably bit (and figure he will die, despite him talking earlier about how amputation can sometimes work)...
There are numerous times when Pete take Clem's word and defends her. Even if he dies (and Nick somehow hates me for it), I feel like he's one of the few from the group who was willing to give me the benefit of the doubt, so I should do the same even if it's a lost cause.
Hopefully the other group members will see that and understand my choice, but given how one-dimensional and linear things seemed in this episode, I'm not counting on it.
I also saved Pete and it was decision that I didn't made because of time's pressure. You know, I liked Pete very much, he's my second favourite group member (Luke's first) and I don't regret it. Even if he was bitten, cutting off the leg quickly should do things propertly. And we will probably find Nick somewhere during Episode 2 so there may be two alive persons instead of one.
I saved Pete, despite him seemingly being bitten, as I thought he'd be the bigger loss to the group if he died and he was pretty friendly to Clem for most of the episode.
I saved Nick, only because I thought Pete was bitten. But after thinking about it, through out season 1 I figured it would be best to save the younger ones first. I saved Duck in season 1, and my reasoning was "He was younger."
If Pete hadn't had the appearance of being bitten, I would have saved him. But in a situation like that, the younger ones should be saved. Nick may be a dick, but he has a lot of time to grow up. Plus, Nick said it was a bad idea to stay. Maybe after what Pete said to him just before he died will cause him to think rationally some where down the line. I feel bad for Pete now that he is dead (I think), but I also feel confident that good will later come from my decision through Nick.
I chose to save Pete, partially because I was part of the like 8% percent who didn't accept Nick's apology and a bite isn't an immediate death sentence so running to help the guy I hadn't antagonized makes sense. The biggest reason though is Pete defended me and was there for me as best he could be when he and his group thought I was bitten so it'd be wrong to write one of the two people who was on my side off when I have a chance to return the kindness he offered me at the beginning.
I saved Nick, not because I liked him better, but because of the bite. The same reason why I didn't cut Lee's arm off, by the time they made it back, it would be too late to save him. From reading the comics, I knew he was screwed. I would have saved Pete, but I had to think of Clementine. After all, she didn't have a gun.
I was stuck and didn't know what to do until I heard Pete say that he was out of ammo. I figured Nick already had enough so I had to go for Pete. He is sympathetic to Clem and Nick can handle himself. I also thought that if I saved Pete, Nick would be able to rejoin them because Pete shouted for both of us to go over to him and Nick said "I'll cover you", suggesting he wanted me to go help Pete first
i saved Pete, actually i think in that situation Nick would easily ran back, theres only 4-5 walkers and he has a gun, he gotta survived that, otherwise he sucks
I saw him being bit and i assumed he would be dead anyway, he also seemed to be very old (not too old of course) and decided that the younger … moreand more healthy one would be my choice.
Many here say they like Pete more here and there but i really feel for Nick with Pete's story and when he apologized. He seems troubled and i think he can be a decent character if given enough help and time.
It appears that the people who saved Nick instead of Pete did that only because he was apparently bitten by a lurker... In my opinion that doesn't mean that you are already dead, if someone still have air in their lungs then he must fight, also he have the benefit of the doubt.
I choose the right option. I saved Pete.
I saved Nick, not because I liked him better, but because of the bite. The same reason why I didn't cut Lee's arm off, by the time they made i… moret back, it would be too late to save him. From reading the comics, I knew he was screwed. I would have saved Pete, but I had to think of Clementine. After all, she didn't have a gun.
Pete was annoying and dumb, I'm actually surprised at how many people saved him. I went with the nice old guy. Bit or not he was out of ammo… more, nice, and was the only guy in the group who I actually liked somewhat. Plus someone mentioned chopping off a bit limb and it working so I figured he could still be saved if we acted quickly enough.
It would've been nice to have the option to talk to everyone though, get to know them. Especially before having to make a choice like that. Ah well.
Only if you save/go with Nick.
Yeah, Pete was bitten, but in the episode 2 preview if you saved Pete it looks like he's preparing himself to cut off his leg.

So you're telling me to go save a person that is good as dead-even if he's an awesome dude- and possibly endanger the well being of the character you're playing as? Don't do things for the sake of Clementine? In a way, we ARE Clementine. We need to worry about OUR survival too. The walk back to the cabin and going through discussions is already going to be WELL beyond the time to save Pete from the bite. If you read the comics, you'd know that if you get bit and plan on taking it off, it's gotta be QUICK.

Go back and play it. Look at the context in which things are happening. What could Clementine have done? She has no gun. She has no weapon. Pete is BIT. Again, read the comics. You'll know that it has to be near instant in order to be safe.
I sort of accidentally saved Nick the first time because I was trying to be fast. The camera is pointed towards you when it shows which side of the river each person was on, and then when you need to choose it switches to behind you.
I replayed to choose Pete, even knowing he was probably bit. I did think maybe he could have slipped and got cut on all those rocks, (or rather, from a gameplay perspective I knew he was bit, because everything has to end bad for everyone in Walking Dead, but as Clementine I thought it'd be something she might think or want to believe). The people saying Nick reminds them of Ben, that was part of the reason I didn't want to choose him. He could be nice, Clementine could like him, but for getting me back to the house? It wouldn't have surprised me if he got scared and ran off leaving me alone. So Pete seemed the better bet. And him being bit and more of an adult than Nick, sort of made me think of Lee, and that was a stronger bond of course than she had with Ben.
I chose Pete, because Nick is obviously crazy, and besides that Pete may teach Clem how to shoot a rifle before he dies. I'm really hoping he doesn't die. But if he does, I hope nick does too. Just because I didn't pick to safe him.
Saved Nick. I like to play the walking dead choices on what I would do in the situation, and to be honest I would rather save a healthy, non bitten man with ammo then a guy presume doomed to his fate
If you save Nick, Pete dies. If you save Pete, Nick flees (presumably not bitten and with ammo). So, if TellTale does what they usually do with decisions like these, either Pete dies and Nick lives either way, or both end up dying either way. I chose to save Pete because it prolongs his life and Nick actually wants you to save him and would seem to be more thankful (you'll see if you choose to save Nick that he's actually mad at you for not choosing Pete).
I saved Pete because he was the only one who gave Clementine the benefit of the doubt when she said she had been bitten by a dog. If it hadn't been for that, I may have simply assumed he'd been bitten, was done for and that I should focus on the guy who hadn't been bitten. Pete, however, said he'd fallen, and so I had to return the favor he'd afforded to Clementine when she insisted she'd been bitten by a dog.
On top of that, Nick was uninjured and had a gun. It wouldn't hurt him to shoot at an actual zombie for once.
you know if there is a Ben char in this Season i will 100% be supporting them but i just don't see Nick as being like Ben for several reasons i mean Pete was acting like he was towards Nick because he had to raise him like a father and couldn't be easy on him or be just the nice happy Uncle. but i saved Pete because it was only fair i mean he fought for us so it's only right i do the same but knowing Telltale this'll end up like the Doug&Carly situation where no matter who you save eventually they'll both die.
I saved Pete, here's why. When Clem was "bit" she got bit by a dog but with good reason the group didn't trust her. Pete said he lost his footing and he might be telling the truth.
I wound up replaying this chapter, because I just panicked the moment I saw that wound on Pete's leg. I immediately thought, "He's a goner." So I didn't even notice that he said something about having lost his footing, and I didn't notice that Nick told me to help Pete, or consider that Pete was on the opposite side of the river and couldn't just run back to the house.
So yeah...I blew it. I'd be Ben in the post-apocalypse group. I just figured the one I didn't help was going to die, so I chose the one who wasn't bitten.
On my first playthrough of that chapter, when Pete asked me to keep an eye on the treeline, I responded with "I'm on it!", and Pete made some sort of comment like, "Damn! Are you always this agreeable?" On the second playthrough, I picked, "I'd be more useful with a gun", and Pete made a comment about how he trusted Clementine, but it would take time for the others to trust her. When I heard that, I felt really guilty about my decision not to help him the first time around, especially considering he gave Clementine the benefit of the doubt when they found her. So I was really happy about saving Pete.
Yeah,Clem did has no guns and weapons. But she has a heart, and bravery. She knows what she should do. And even if you got weapons, but if you are weak, how many days do you think you are gonna survive? two days ? three days? Maybe you'll even use your weapon to end yourself before you get killed by a zombie. Apparently you're not taking into consideration the most important human element of all---the will to live.(this line is out of the movie, Saw) So if you make yourself a weak, heartless man, it's only gonna be more dangerous. And also Clem made it so far is not because she has guns and weapons, a lot of people have guns and they still died anyway, it's because she is a brave and kind little girl , and she has a man---Lee, who won't only do things for his own safe , but also for others. : )
Go back and play it. Look at the context in which things are happening. What could Clementine have done? She has no gun. She has no weapon. Pete is BIT. Again, read the comics. You'll know that it has to be near instant in order to be safe.
i don't mean you're wrong, everyone has a way of his own to play or to live. it's just your theory is wrong.
Abandoning someone and running away is not the safest thing to do, it's the easiest in this world ! : )
Go back and play it. Look at the context in which things are happening. What could Clementine have done? She has no gun. She has no weapon. Pete is BIT. Again, read the comics. You'll know that it has to be near instant in order to be safe.
this game is based on how you play. when you are playing and controlling , you are the Clementine! you're not doing this for her safe, it's for your own safe! it's not her game, it's your game! come on , man~make your choice for yourself.
And, anyone can tell that Uncle Pete is really a good man , he's been good to me. without him, Clem is probably dead already. So i won't give up on him. and there's no choice for me ,because i sure will choose him anyway.
and most importantly , he'll be alive , with my help !

I saved Nick one because it was safer and because he reminds me so much of Kenny in looks and personality

And Nick is a jerk.
Big jerk. I hate him.

Don't do things "for the sake of Clementine", think what should she really need to do.
Lee is not the main character anymore, is Clem.
The nice old guy is Pete. Nick is the young one.
Yes, but we don't know if that's gonna work. Still, is better to try it.
Agree
Alvin could be converted too
Isn't it worth trying anyway?

Survival is not everything. And don't assume that a character is already dead if he is bitten.

Pete cause he was hurt and out of ammo, easy choice for me. Also he helped out Clem when she needed it the most!
Goddammit i saved Nick,now i just feel like i'm a bad man.Maybe i should replay,but that would be cheating...
Saved Nick. I like to play the walking dead choices on what I would do in the situation, and to be honest I would rather save a healthy, non bitten man with ammo then a guy presume doomed to his fate
