Lazy Sheriff Playthrough
So I was bored and decided to do a "Lazy Sheriff" playthrough of Episode 1. Basically, it's a silent playthrough, but in addition to staying silent the whole time, you also don't take any action outside of what you need to do in order to progress.
Here are some interesting things I found (BTW, this kinda breaks the illusion of the game so don't read if you'll be bothered by that):
You DON'T have to pick up the matchbook at the beginning of the game or hang up the phone.
You can fail EVERY single prompt during the Woodsman fight until the axe comes out. (There's actually an impressive amount of action sequences that very few people will see.)
You can choose to NOT investigate the crime scene after finding Faith's head, meaning that you'll never get the piece of cloth. (This seems like the silliest choice in the game to me. Why would anybody choose this on a normal playthrough???)
You ONLY have to ask the Mirror about one person the first time and then Lawrence the second time.
You ONLY need to investigate the blood puddle and the murphy bed at Lawrence's place.
If you don't mash while lifting the couch in the Dee chase, Bigby lifts it up a little and barrel rolls under it. (This is actually really neat detail I didn't expect.)
You can fail EVERY single prompt during the Dee chase.
You can immediately get tough with Toad without looking at the room at all.
You can fail EVERY single prompt during the Grendel fight, until he's about to ram you into the wall after you've turned wolf.
Overall the little changes in scenes and dialogue were interesting, but what's really interesting about this playthrough is the difference in how little this Bigby knows about what’s going on by the end of the episode compared to Bigby from a normal playthrough. I've done next to no investigation here. I have no idea that anyone climbed over the fence, I don't know that the mirror can't tell me about Faith, I don't know how long ago the gun at Lawrence's place was fired. The only things in my inventory by the end are the ring and the money (and I could have given that away too). That's it. No cloth, no tarot card, no bullet, no gun. Nothing. I wonder how this is going to play out in the later episodes.
I'll update this thread with details about Episodes 2, 3, 4, and 5 as they come out.

Something I wonder : does Bigby's face looks more bruised after your fight with the Woodsman if you took all the punches and (possibly) razor slashes ?
No. In fact, the Woodsman's face still ends up pretty bruised and my knuckles still end up damaged even though I threw 0 punches for the whole fight. So that was a little disappointing.
Yes indeed, one could expect some realism here.
I guess they didnt really expect anyone not to fight back lol
It was funny. Definitely can't wait to read in the future.
I hope you are going to continue that with next episodes on the same lazy save? In other way it wouldn't have sense.
That would be hilarious if he just solved the entire mystery by doing absolutely nothing in the episodes.
Bigby: I caught the murder Crane.
Crane: Oh, so you have. Do you have any evidence
Bigby: No, he just kinda showed up at the end and told me he was the murderer, to be honest I wasn't even trying this entire time.
Bigby: btw, where's snow?
I did the silent sheriff and the lazy sheriff playthrough both on a single save, BINGO!
Aw, you jerk! I swear I did an identical playthrough and was going to make a topic regarding it at some point :P
I basically noticed the same things you did. It's quite fun getting the shit beaten out of you in each fight to see what kills you and what doesn't.
I actually went to Lawrence's first, since I figured that would be the best choice. As it turns out, Lawrence offs himself if you don't jump out of the closet fast enough, so...Toad's pissed that I took so long getting to his house, and I didn't even save Lawrence to make up for it. Oops. On the plus side, I actually did investigate the house, however I didn't really call Toad out on any of his bullshit. Despite this, I'm pretty sure "silence" at one point has Bigby growling at Toad, which I think qualifies it as getting violent with him instead of talking it out. Snow was all "I don't know how I feel about back there..." despite the fact that, as far as she saw, I was nonviolent.
Out of curiosity, who did you end up capturing at the Trip Trap? I believe he automatically caught Dee when the timer ran out without me doing anything, but I wonder if it's random or something.
It's worth noting that in my Silent/Lazy run of the Walking Dead, the game gets very confused if you don't make any actions regarding some of the major decisions. For example, if you refuse to safe either Duck or Shawn at the farm (even letting the timer go out when Kenny comes in and saves Duck), Kenny...Never really holds it against you. He bitched me out for not helping him back in the pharmacy, but never once did he complain about me not saving Duck at the farm. I almost think Katjaa thanked me for saving him in Episode 2, as well.
I wonder if TWAU will have any moments like that where choosing "..." breaks the game.
You were right.I AM disturbed.
