I haven't read Fables yet, but I've been reading Vertigo graphic novels since my teens. It was the connection to Vertigo that prompted me to try the game.
I've not played TWD, and probably won't as it doesn't appeal to me.
I have played and enjoyed other TellTale games (Sam & Max, Tales of Monkey Island, Puzzle Agent). I also loved Hector, although I think that when I got the first episode, it wasn't TTG. It was the former LucasArts titles that attracted me to TTG.
I'm playing on iOS, because I happened to see the game on the App Store. If I had realised it was also available on xbox, I'd have bought it on there instead.
You should give TWD a shot if you really like TWAU, they are quit similar in a way. The whole zombie thing isn't playing all that big part of the story, deep down its till about people getting by in a terrible world.

Can we also eliminate everyone playing Call of Duty? PVPing while yelling into a mic has nothing to do with the way I play games, so why should I count them as "gamers"?
Maybe one for me to try if I see it on sale. Now that TTG have started to focus on story rather than gameplay, I think you have to be really into the story.

Maybe Jewel Rush isn't hardcore enough?I like playing it,though. Not only that,i also play Skyrim,Amnesia,COD,AC,BF and other pointless abbreviations, but you have your point,Harry Callahan.
Why not?

32 USA began reading Fables after playing the first episode. I played TWD prior to playing TWAU. I typically purchase games through Steam, but since I got an iPad I play TWAU on that since there aren't very many games on ios worth playing.
I'm not gonna lie but...I'm a 14 year old kid from Romania,Sibiu.I actually started reading fables two months ago and I preety liked them.I'm a Pc and Xbox360 player.
Their are other kids in this discussion (like Phyre and I) so your not alone, and I'm glad to see someone my age thats dealt with the 360 season pass mayhem, unless of course you own a copy of TWAU of PC.

Age 12, male and from United Kingdom. My older sister (who is 17) bought the first season of TWD, and ever since she let me have a go I have fallen in love with it Oh and an edit i play on the Xbox 360
You misunderstand me. I wasn't being hostile in any way, so please stop being so defensive.
I was saying that you don't have anything to prove to anyone, so you should stop acting as if you did. Trying to assure everyone that you're mature for a 17 year-old only makes you seem insecure about your age. Even if you're telling the truth, that's just the impression that others will get. Because people don't trust anyone's judgement but their own.
In my personal experience, it's better if you just allow other people to see for themselves how mature you are, instead of trying to convince them. And if you really are mature for your age, they will realize it eventually.
I don't perceive you in any way, because I don't know you and you don't know me. This is just some friendly advice.
I don't have anything to prove, especially not to you. And speaking of maturity, making hostile comments about how you perceive me (which couldn't be more wrong, by the way) doesn't reflect well on yours.

I'm a 15 year old male from the USA. I'd love to read Fables, but comic books can never hold my attention for too long (If there was some sort of visual media like TV shows, I'd be all over it... though that probably wouldn't turn out too great), I'm a pretty hardcore PC gamer and played The Walking Dead as the episodes came out. This forum makes me feel so young 0.0
I think guys make too big of a deal about "girl gamers". Yes, I am a girl but I shouldn't be classified as a different kind of gamer based on … moremy gender. I'm a gamer, just like any one else. As for the disliking, it could be because they aren't sure enough in their own masculinity to admit that you don't need a penis to play video games. There, I said it. And thank you for defending me
Maybe Jewel Rush isn't hardcore enough?I like playing it,though. Not only that,i also play Skyrim,Amnesia,COD,AC,BF and other pointless abbreviations, but you have your point,Harry Callahan.
Oh, yeah, nothing against people who enjoy CoD. Just pointing out that if you have to discount games that lots of women play in order to demonstrate a lack of women gamers then.... you haven't actually demonstrated that.

Fuck yeah, Murica! Readin's fer pussies and commies anyhow! Yeehaw!
(I'm just fucking around, my best friends are from the Murica and they're the exact opposite of the Murican stereotype. Please don't flame.)

I've never read Fables or heard of it prior to playing TWAU.
I also play TWD on the PC. It's actually the reason why I got into TWAU. I was getting a little antsy waiting for TWD series to return, and was hoping season 2 of the game would hold me over. But the episode was kinda short. Decided to give TWAU a try. Wasn't sure I would like it, as I'm not too big on fairytale-type stories. But I got hooked. I like the dark, gritty atmosphere of it.
Umm...I don't really see the reason for this?Yes,i have read what you posted.Hmm...Well,anyway.I am A(fuck it, almost 14).I am a girl.I have s… moretarted with The Walking Dead,in 2013(yeah,yeah,i know).And...I have recently took up the comics. The platform i play on is the PC.And,before anyone sues me for playing games with an age restriction that clearly bans me from playing them,i have grown up with these games, they don't affect me in any serious way.Yep.Here's my whole life in a few rows.So yeah.
21 year old male from the US. Started reading Fables after game announcement but can't remember if it was before or after I played the first episode. I had played TWD before TWAU was announced. I am playing TWAU on PC but for TWD it was xbox 360.
Probably should've done this as a general survey using something like SurveyMonkey, FreeOnlineSurveys, or SurveyPlanet and posted the link here asking people to take it. Then people couldn't see other people's responses to attack them for their responses and might be more truthful. You could just occasionally bump the post and release the results after a month or something. That then lets you link the same survey on other Walking Dead forums so you can have a wider sample and also have a consistent set of answers rather than people beating around the bush.
Personally, I'm female, 28, have not read Fables (I rarely read comics these days), played TWD before TWAU (also played Back to the Future before TWD), primarily a PC gamer (which is what I have TWD and TWAU on), and American.
Maybe one for me to try if I see it on sale. Now that TTG have started to focus on story rather than gameplay, I think you have to be really into the story.

She gets attention because she actively fights sexist pigs, and she has hilarious dance video things or memes or whatever they're called.

By all means, prove it. But you don't prove your maturity by telling people you're mature. That doesn't prove much, does it?
Behave like you normally do, and if you are mature for your age, then people will realize it for themselves sooner or later.
Clem is cool.
I think we misunderstood your original post, and I thank you for enlightening us on your opinion on the topic.

24 Male Born in Chicago (1st Generation in USA)
Read one issue of Fables and continued after playing The Wolf Among Us
I'm currently playing on the 360, plan on PC soon as well. I have not played The Walking Dead.

Hey Phyre what platform do you play on?
Oh, yeah, nothing against people who enjoy CoD. Just pointing out that if you have to discount games that lots of women play in order to demonstrate a lack of women gamers then.... you haven't actually demonstrated that.
No offense taken. I think it sounds funny myself, "MURICA" lol

Thank you,Arrowify.May i ask for permission to call you my virtual friend?
I'm 28.. Male. American. PS3. And I own some of the graphic novels, but none of the Jack comics.
I really don't think you should have to explain yourself. People usually jump on those sort of bandwagons on those sort of things.

Thank you for defending me,Hershel. (?)Phyre will remember that.
