  • You might find that some of the stuff characters say in TWD and TWAU even more isn't really appropriate, unless you want to be really rude to someone. :)

  • I'm a male, 19 years old, and I started reading Fables at the time the game came out. Ever since I've been reading it a whole lot, along with all its spinoffs (except for Peter and Max). I've been playing TWD way before TWAU released (on the PS3) and I was born and raised in the United States, in New York City.

  • male, 17, PC, i got in to TWD after TWAU. really want to read the comics, but can't afford all that

That's not about it. On the internet, nobody knows you're a girl. Most of women (well, not "most" maybe, but many) lie about their sex so they don't have to read stupid sexist comments. Especially in online games and communities. Cause no one takes you seriously, fo f*cks sake! So yeah. There are "no" gurls here, nope nope nope. Only overly manly gamers.

I think males still tend to dominate in online communities, however -- in part because of silly accusations like "Prove you're a girl!" and so

  • Wrong on so many levels =)
It's close to 50/50 really. Females just don't brag about it. Like "ohh look at me, I killed him so much, very win, suh a wow pvp, much hardcore" - they don't do that. Much, I mean.
And they don't often admit that they're females.

I'm going to say Males are even Higher then that.. maybe like 75 or 80% I don't count a gamer as playing Jewel Rush or something like that.

  • 22, PC, really want to read Fables because of twau, but really can't. Played twd prior to twau, and didn't like twd as much as twau. It's just too much zombies for me already and not enough supernatural stuff like fables. And I'm from f-ing Russia.

  • ditto

  • Can't buy.
Well not literally "can't" but it's such a pain in the ass since it was never published here. And I don't really like to order stuff via internet. Maybe it's just me (but it's rather our postal system and delivery services, ugh).

  • I know a way to download the comics for free.

  • ...But your lips are sealed? :)

  • You'll be suprised at how non-english speaking people learn the language. Games, music, movies are about 70-80% of the learning process.

You might find that some of the stuff characters say in TWD and TWAU even more isn't really appropriate, unless you want to be really rude to someone.

  • Yeah, found one suitable source today =) Lil problem solved for now.

you can get digital downloads and read them on your computer or tablet

  • Im male ,17, From Slovakia , Playin on Xbox 360 and started reading fables thanks to TWAU, Played only 1st ep of TWD , and all episodes of TWAU yet, and I like TWAU much more.

  • I'm 19 and live in the USA. I play on my Xbox 360. I started with TWD then played TWAU. I haven't read the comics but would love to in the future perhaps when TWAU season 1 is done.

  • I'm male, 15, from Argentina and I have played TWD prior to the release of TWAU. I have read the comics since I was more or less 13 and watched the TV series from the very beginning. What I mean by this is that I know that at this age maturity depends on each individual but I want to state that I'm totally fine. I understand topics regarding sexual situations, murder, etc. and they do not affect my behavior at all, and I believe that most people my age feel the same way about it, but then again, it depends on the individual. I don't want to sound arrogant or anything, but I think I'm a little more mature than most people my age (but I might be wrong, and if that's the case I'm pretty sure I'm mature enough to at least have reasonable discussions with you guys), so I hope we can enjoy this. Oh and I almost forgot, my platform for TWAU is PC, and for TWD it's ps3 (I know the second one wasn't required but I just wanted to share.). Well, I think that's all :D

  • I dont understand the thread, kinda pointless unless OP is NSA or something. :)
What is this all about "girl gamers" and maturity here? Who ths hell cares? I would even play with u if u would be a Snail or something.

This thread interests me, because even after a couple of hundred other posts:

    • I'm still the oldest poster (damn!)

    • I seem to be almost the only one who has read all the comics

    • I also don't care about fellow gamers' gender. Maturity level, on the other hand, is vitally important.

    • Can't stress this one enough: Messrs Willingham, Buckingham and co. have crafted an amazing comic series which has sustained excellence and originality in an extended narrative form for more than a decade. If you can afford it, pay them their royalties as a means of thanks for their excellent work. Buy the series!

Finally, what I said in the first comment in this thread: Be excellent to each other!

21 Never played any of Telltales games before, but I came across this and thought i'd give it a go. I knew nothing of the story and concept, so getting into it was a nice surprise. I actually didn't realized what the whole "Fables" thing really meant until you're given the books in Cranes office. I'm really driven my cinematic games with stories(Meta Gear Solid Franchise, Deus Ex, Kingdom Hearts etc..) so this was a treat. The narrative is rich and the universe is so compelling. It also helps that I love Noire(La Noire, another story driven game I like). A lot of the AAA games have been boring me lately. Mostly because I can't get into many of them because the stories are never quite as good as something like TWAU. Even though this is a point and click title, I'm finding it much easier to get into story wise.
