  • Guys, I thought of an idea if you think the whole 'Kirkmin being Steve' was a bad idea.

We can show that Frank was hallucinating the whole time, he was hallucinating that Steve was Kirkmin.

  • Again, I agree with you. I found Kirkman was some kind of calmheaded and smart villain everyone's afraid of. Steve on the other was nothing but a hot headed douchebag.

  • I think he's right: We should at least talk about the finale. If we don't this episode will never end, always searching for the right time to say "That's it." The finale of TWD S1 was set in stone even before a single line of Ep.1 was written. We don't have to plan everything but at least discuss a direction the story should take. I was thinking of some dort of sacrifice or letting someone die instead of saving the person, just to save your own ass. Maybe Clementine would be the person...

I don't think we should take a break to be honest. I think we should wrap up this season and then take a break to finish up summaries and update back-ups etc.

Imo hallucinations are a poor way to explain weird things. Maybe Steve really managed to sneak into this settlement in attempt to steal or else and he gets overpowered by Kirkman like the rest of the group? Just thinking...

Edit: I see that's not possible either, since Frank witnessed Steve/Kirkman calling Jack by his name... dammit

Guys, I thought of an idea if you think the whole 'Kirkmin being Steve' was a bad idea. We can show that Frank was hallucinating the whole time, he was hallucinating that Steve was Kirkmin.

  • The man named Steve Kirkmin managed to sneak in and has gained the trust of a select group of people within the settlement. He promised them a place within his (non-existing) community as high-ranking leaders. Together they will kill the other inhabitants, all in the hope of finding a different place with more safety.

    Maybe something like that?

Maybe, but as I've written above, IMO I don't think this suits "Steve's" character:

I found Kirkman was some kind of calm headed and smart villain everyone's afraid of. Steve on the other was nothing but a hot headed douchebag.

    And Snufkin's thoughts:

It doesn't really follow that Steve would be this new person I talked about in my previous post. I feel like the narrator not mentioning that it was Steve and then it suddenly being Steve doesn't make sense. If possible could the new person not be Steve as his group of 5 or 6 (since he's already lost a few) could not do what the new person (Kirkmin?) is attempting to do. Let me know your thoughts.

For what it's worth, I think the solution would be to edit Randomz89101's 'Back in the woods' post so that Frank does not recognise Kirkmin by removing the last line of the fourth paragraph.

In the fifth, sixth and final paragraph replace Steve with Kirkmin and everything still flows logically.

I know it's a bit much asking someone to edit their post but I really think Steve and Kirkmin have shown themselves to be quite different. Steve is slightly deranged and quick to be enraged whereas Kirkmin has been a logical villain. Killing the cat can show his callous side but he's really just a strict, authoritarian survivalist.

I think re-introducing Frank is a great idea as it was a bit of a loose end and the rest of the post is really good. However, I don't think Steve and Kirkmin are the same person.

This is the last I will say on the matter as we need to discuss the end of the episode and complete the summaries so if others disagree we can still go on from here as it is certainly not a disaster.

That was also my impression of these two characters - they were introduced as two totally different characters and it dind't make sense to me Steve being Kirkman.

I've actually got a good idea involving an intense fight of epic proportions between a certain someone from our amazingly diverse group of interesting individuals and Kirkmin, the asshole.

Guys, I was just daydreaming about Telltale choosing one of our original characters to have a cameo in a TWD game! Wouldn't that be awesome? It came to my mind while reading through the summaries. If it really were a game it would be so much fun. Sigh

  • If it were actually a game the story would need quite a bit of polishing, especially in the earlier pages. But yeah, if one of our characters made it in, that would be amazing!

Gosh, I wish we could continue the story. But we've got a few things to do...

    To do list:

    • Complete summaries of every episode. -Nearly done
    • Clear up confusion around Kirkmin's identity. -Waiting for Randomz to come online and respond.
    • Talk about the epic collaborative season finale. -Started talking a little, nothing set in stone just yet.

I'm in bed already, though to urge on disscussing the finale:

    1) What do you think should happen to the settlement?
    2) Who is your favorite character?
    3) What part will Frank play in all this?
    4) Offtopic: Who caused the fire in the cabin and why?

You don't have to answer them but sometimes questions like those help to trigger some ideas.

  • 1.) I think the settlement will stay mostly intact, although our group might not stay, something I'm not sure of as of yet.

2.) Bryan is the character I love writing with the most, he also has had some amazing character-development.

3.) Good point, his character does seem quite... random.

4.) It was probably caused by the classic falling candle. But the interesting thing is that it happened during one of Clem and Dani's arguments.

Making an E-Book when the season is finished

What Do you think about it? I am a graphic designer and very interested in designing a real book for print and web including cover art, impress and everything. It came to my mind while thinking of my uncle. He is a sales agent for a polish book printery. They make very good and affordable books, though international shipping might cost a little. That's why the idea with the E-Book came up. We can of course make both.

For this project we need someone good with the english language, who can polish the whole text and correct bad grammar since me and some other contributors aren't raised with english language.

    So?

  • It's a fantastic idea but if I'm honest, it's also a scary idea. The amount of editing required on such a big piece of writing is going to be insane. In addition, who decides what needs tidying up and will everyone be happy with the end product?

Everyone who made a contribution would need to consent to having their writing published as well. That being said, it does sound pretty exciting.

EPISODE 5: "One Last Breath" (Page 50-51)

    Jack and John’s cabin

    • Jeremy and Clementine enter the cabin, surprised to find it is unlocked.
    • They make their way to John’s office, spot John’s dead body and hide as Jack and the man come their way.
    • Kirkmin forces Jack to make an announcement over the speaker system.
    • Jack, under Kirkmin’s instructions, tells the community to congregate in the dining hall, ignoring anyone who is passed out as there has been a food poisoning outbreak.
    • Jack and Kirkmin leave the house.
    • Clementine and Jeremy enter John’s office and take keys for the jail, the medical supply room and the gun room.
    • They leave Jack and John’s cabin and spot 15 members of the community passed out and lined up outside the cabin.
    • Clementine and Jeremy make their way to the community jail.

    Community jail

    • Clementine and Jeremy find Bryan is suffering from food poisoning.
    • Clementine feels guilty for giving Bryan the food from the dining hall.
    • Guards begin to enter the jail and Bryan urges Clementine to leave.
    • Clementine fumbles when trying to open Bryan’s cell with the key.
    • Jeremy pulls her to safety and once the guards have passed by, Clementine opens the door.
    • Bryan is passed out. Jeremy puts his winter coat on him and says they need to carry him to safety.

    Back in the woods

    • Frank finds nothing in the bushes where he thought he heard a noise coming from.
    • Frank comes across the settlement where Clementine and the rest of the group are, currently.

    In the settlement

    • Frank enters the settlement and notices something isn’t quite right when he comes across the 15 passed out bodies.
    • He hears the message from Jack through the loud speaker and wonders what is going on.
    • Frank pretends to be one of the passed out bodies when Kirkmin and Jack leave the house.
    • Cleo, one of the kittens Frank had saved, gets out of Frank’s pocket and approaches Kirkmin.
    • Kirkmin kills the kitten.
    • Frank vows revenge and notices a girl and a man, who we know to be Clementine and Jeremy, leave the house a short time later.

    Inside the camper

    • Kenny regains consciousness. He remembers that Danielle had some of the drink and calls to her.
    • Kenny slowly comes to realise that he’s been poisoned by the man who gave him the drink.
    • Hearing no response from Danielle, Kenny begins to panic. He crawls over to her and tries to wake her.
    • With Danielle not responding, Kenny has to perform CPR on Danielle.
    • Kenny struggles to save Danielle as he is still suffering from the effects of the spiked drink.
    • Kenny collapses after trying to save Danielle. As he loses consciousness he hears Danielle call out to him that she is fine.

    Community jail

    • Jeremy and Clementine carry Bryan out of the cell. Bryan is in a bad way.
    • They move through the community without encountering anyone since all members of the community have been summoned to the dining hall.
    • Jeremy, Clementine and Bryan make their way to the group camper.
    • They notice the passed out bodies as they go through the settlement.
    • Upon reaching the camper, Clementine enters and calls out for Kenny.
  • The summary is complete up to Randomz's Kirkmin/Steve post on page 50. There are two more pieces of writing that need to be summarised after that post but we are more or less up to date with the summary now.

We can't go on until Randomz sorts out the confusion surrounding Kirkmin and Steve so I have to say:

Please Randomz come onnn. I wantz the story to go on.4

  • Damn I wish I was patient. Actually getting irritated because I want to write xD

I've saw Randomz reply to other threads so I wish he'd comment on here to clear stuff up.

  • Okay last night I was on mobile, and I thought i posted something. Apparently not, so apologizes for that.

Do you guys want me to edit it? It's completely up to you guys what you want me to do. And sorry about not being on lately, a lot is going on in my family right now.

  • Well we need to clear up who Steve is and who Kirkmin is. Cause you said they were the same but we don't think that makes sense because of conflicting personalities.
