    Telltale's The Walking Dead
Like a bunch of people, I don't like Season 2 Clementine because she was just a blank protagonist for me.

Nick was the best character of Season 2 and wasted potential.

    William Carver was wasted potential.

Peter Joseph Randall was wasted potential.

    Sarah was wasted potential.
I liked Sarah and Arvo more than Season 2 Clementine.

I was never a big fan of Carlos, he lacked character. (The Walking Dead Wiki says otherwise, since most of the users have Carlos in their top 10 characters list and ocassionally higher than Lee.)

My most favourite episode is A House Divided.

I honestly felt that Lilly was one of the game's most well-written characters. (The Walking Dead Wiki says otherwise, since most of the users don't give a shit about her and go for generally blank characters.)

Alvin's death was the best death in the game.

Favourite Cabin Survivors In Order: Nick > Peter > Alvin > Rebecca > Sarah > Luke > Carlos

No Going Back was the shittiest episode. (The Walking Dead Wiki says otherwise, since most of the users fangasm upon hearing its name.)

    AMC's The Walking Dead
I liked all of the major antagonists of the show. (Phillip > Shane > Gareth > Joe > Dawn)

    Favourite Seasons In Order: 4 > 2 > 1 > 3 > 5

Season 5 was the worst season, even badder than 3, mainly because it ruined a bunch of main cast members aka protagonists of the show.

It ruined Tyreese, who I liked a lot in Season 4, by making him real bipolar.

It ruined Sasha, who I liked a lot in Season 4, by giving her that bitchy whiny attitude. (YOU CAN'T HELP ME!)

It ruined Carol, who I liked a lot in Season 4, by giving her that annoyingly cocky attitude among other things. As quoted by RazorWolfz, admin of TWD wiki, Carol is one of my least favorites because I find her bland and boring, and lately she is getting repetetive. Also this whole "Carol-is-a-badass" ordeal doesn't work for me, and just seems cheesy and out of character.

Not to mention making a huge mess of TV Eugene and TV Abraham, both fan favourites in the comics.

  • Agree with you on a number of what you said. Especially 3 and 4. What about Alvin? You didn't mention him.

    • My favourite episodes are No Time Left, No Going Back, Starved for Help and A House Divided
    • I wish that during the Observation deck attack, after the deck falls, Clem should have been about to fall off the deck and be saved by Sarah to show she can be useful.

I do not agree that Jane's personality is similar to Lee's

Well I never said it was, I said Jane is similar to my Lee, and how he played. My Lee was exactly like Jane, while yours probably wasn't.

and Season 3 focusing on Jane.

Eh, I honestly don't want Jane to be in Season 3, her story ended perfectly in Season 2, she had a fitting end whether you chose to let her die, leave her, or go with her. A perfect end to a well written character. But if Lilly and Christa aren't in Season 3, I will lose my shit.

    Rest is ok.

Well I'm glad you politely shared your opinion on that matter, and It makes me smile that you were calm and civilized. :)

That episode is called 'Them'. One of my personal favourites too, really atmospheric and so much happened without anything really happening at all. One of those episodes where you just sit back and really sink it in.

I think it was that it put you in that situation with them, and that you could understand these were people that had lost a lot and were just trying to get by and survive; when they're having to kill those dogs for food, when they're low on water and it rains, or just see they're really struggling to cope. I wish the finale of TWDG Season 2 had more of that atmosphere, or at least the later episodes.

I hope we see more meaningful episodes like Them in the future.

  • Video Game:

    • I hadn't played the games until June of this year. Before that, the Walking Dead franchise wasn't even on my radar.

    • I finished Season One in two days. I had originally launched the game just to get a feel for it, intending to play it for thirty minutes or so before I went to sleep. Next thing I knew, it was five AM, I had just finished Starved For Help, and I had to force myself to not start episode three. I finished the final three episodes the very next night.

    • The next Saturday, I shot through Season Two in a single playthrough.

    • In all honesty, the first time I played through the series, I ended up enjoying Season Two more than Season One. Where Season One took some time to find its feet, Season Two hit the ground running and never looked back. It was only after the rush wore off, and I was able to look at the games with a critical eye that Season Two's flaws became glaringly apparent.

    • I plan on waiting until Season Three (and the Michonne series) are completely finished so I can play through them in one batch, as I did with Season Two. I also plan on avoiding all trailers and previews. Wish me luck, cause I'll need it.

    • Whenever I reply the series, I always end up picking the exact same choices. I picked them because they felt "right" to me, and it's hard for me to go against that and pick the choices that feel "wrong", even though I tell myself that "This playthrough's gonna be different".

    • Some of my choices in question (for Season One) include saving Carley, trying to save Larry, ditching Lilly after she kills Carley, and telling Clementine to leave Lee at the end.

    • Some of my choices in Season Two include going with Nick at the end of All That Remains, convincing Rebecca to surrender to Carver, helping Sarah at the greenhouse, watching Kenny beat Carver to death, and shooting Kenny after he kills Jane.

    TV Series:

    • I've never seen a single episode of the TV series. I've heard a lot of mixed things about it, so I keep going back and forth on whether or not it's worth it to pick up the first season on DVD.

    12. I wanted Carver to play a bigger part and last until No Going Back

    13. Wellington should've been an empty city

    14. I hate the different endings this season

    Let's see here

    Game-wise:

    • Ben removing the hatchet from the door is the stupidest scene of the entire game, both seasons. I absolutely can't think of any way to defend that scene, and I'm someone that tends to stick up for a lot of other scenes people didn't like

    • I was rooting for Ben to be one of the characters to survive the season

    • Vernon was a pretty cool dude up until the point that he took the boat. Even with that in mind, I still find it hard to threaten him when I replay the game

    • I liked S2 of the game (to anyone here that's seen any of my posts, that's not really a big surprise)

    • I liked Luke's death and thought it was well-done

    • Around Every Corner is underrated

    • In Harm's Way is actually pretty good

    Comic-wise:

    • I prefer Adlard's art over Moore's. I can't deny that there are some unintentionally hilarious looking panels. It's no secret that Adlard has his... "moments" now and again, but overall I like his style

    • I honestly think Martinez wasn't going back to tell the Governor about the prison, and really was on our side

    • Rosita in the comics was wasted potential

    • Despite not really being a main character, I really liked Nicholas, and his death was one of the saddest of the comic series for me

    • Despite him killing one of my favorite characters ever, Dwight was pretty great and I really want to see more of him

    • From what I've seen, not a lot of people liked Spencer too much, and were happy to see him go. I actually didn't mind him, and he really didn't deserve to die the way he did

    • Heath getting his leg blown off was one of the very few moments that truly shocked me. As in I had to do a double-take to fully process that it just happened

    Show-wise:

    • Axel in the show was wasted

    • Zack from the S4 premiere should have stuck around way longer than he did

    • I really liked the premise of the flu arc, and it will be a waste if they treat it was a one-off thing and don't have it return in some capacity. Imagine it popping up in Alexandria at some point, and we get to see how the group deals with it since they've gone through it before

    • Abraham is one of my top favorite characters in the comic series, and I really like the TV version of him too. I don't feel they ruined him all that much (can't deny that him not being able to say fuck sets him back a bit, because Abe had some amazing lines in the comics. Also makes me fear for Negan a bit, just like everyone else)

    • I'm really glad they did a version of the scene of Rick running down Martinez. That scene is a classic, and I think the show did it justice, even if they used a different character for it

    • What Happened and What's Going On is one of my all-time favorite episodes of the TV series, and Tyreese's death was one of the best deaths of the show, if not the franchise (I'll admit that the way he got bitten in the first place was dumb, but the actual death was really great)

    • The revolving door sequence in 5B was one of the most clever sets/situations of the entire franchise. Something so fundamentally simple ends up being the setting of one of the most intense and sticky situations for a group of characters to get stuck in

  • Agreed.

  • The game:

-I liked Season 1 more than Season 2.
-I hated that you had no opportunities to just walk around and ask people questions in Season 2, unlike Season 1.
-I hate Ben Paul. If you guess why and are right, my honors to you.
-Maybe I'm blind, but I never saw Katjaa cry because of her son being bitten. Which is surprising, considering that she committed suicide because of that.
-I bonded with Season 1's characters. I didn't care about most of the Season 2 characters.

    TV Series:

-WHY. DID. IT. RUIN. ANDREA.(Yes, I've read all the comics)
-I'm not afraid of some characters' fate, because I know they won't die anytime soon(Daryl and Rick, I'm looking at you).
-I'm really curious about how Negan will be portrayed. He truly brings a storm to the comics' story, it'll be interesting to see how he does the same in the show.

  • It ruined Tyreese, who I liked a lot in Season 4, by giving him that goddamn bipolarness.

What "bipolarness" are you referring to?

It ruined Sasha, who I liked a lot in Season 4, by giving her that bitchy whiny attitude. (YOU CAN'T HELP ME!)

I thought it made her a lot more interesting, because she was one of the few characters who actually suffered from realistic PTSD when she got to Alexandria. Besides, she had very good reason to be angry and lash out. She just lost her brother, her boyfriend, felt like shit after Noah died, and she doesn't know Michonne well enough to know the things she's gone through. This is how human beings act when they take on a metric fuckload of stress and pain.

What cocky attitude? The only time she came off as cocky was when she threatened Pete, which in itself was pretty interesting because it was more about her finally standing up to the specter of Ed, and making fun of Rick's contradictory logic. At every other moment, she was either tormented by the past (all of season 5A), compassionate but in a restrained manner due to past trauma (caring about Sam and Jessie's abuse, but trying to push Sam away at first), or just plain scheming and devious (any time she lies to the Alexandrians). I fail to see how anything she's done has been "repetitive".

Repetitive in the sense that her character walks the line between good and bad? Maybe, but so did the Governor, Merle, and Shane, and people love them for some reason. But repetitive in terms of her actions and emotions? Sorry, but no.

Not to mention making a huge mess of TV Eugene and TV Abraham, both fan favourites in the comics.

At their roots, the characters are largely the same. The only missing ingredient is some of their iconic moments from the comic, and losing out on some of those just comes with the territory at this point. The important thing is that they stand on their own merits, and so far, they have. Neither of them will ever be as bad as Andrea's complete ruination as a character from the comics.

Telltale's The Walking Dead Like a bunch of people, I don't like Season 2 Clementine because she was just a blank protagonist for me. Ni

  • Video game:

    • I cared more for Carley than Clementine.

    • I didn't like Christa when she was introduced, but now she is one of my favorite characters.

    • Even though I hated Larry, I gave him some food. (along with Clem, Duck and Kenny)

    • I wish there was a way to save Irene and Beatrice.

    • Andrew St. John is my favorite villain in the game.

    • Despite their deaths, I don't care about Luke and Ben. In fact, I think they are the most overrated characters yet.

    • Shootout is the worst thing that ever happened in the game.

    • I wish AJ became a zombie baby.

    • I love Rebecca.

    • I wished Glenn stayed in the group.

    • I wish I could explore the relationship between Matthew and Walter.

    • I had high hopes for Carver.

    • I don't hate Sarita, but I wish she was more than Katjaa 2.0 with Duck's fate (both bitten by a walker, then killed by Kenny/Protagonist or left to turn)

    • Reggie is the most pointless character in game.

    • I wish Bonnie, Jane and Arvo never appeared in the S2.

    • S2 ruined Clem and Kenny's character hardcore. (still love them)

    • Sarah and Nick deserved much better than what they got. I also wanted to have an ending with Sarah.

    • As much as I wanted to do the alone ending, I don't want my Clem to be alone, so I chose to be with Kenny.

    • The family that appears in the Jane endings is so badly created. (Ginger Carlos/Mark, hispanic Molly and african-american Duck)

    • I wish that you could bond with characters more in S2.

    • More people should have lived in S1.

    • I enjoyed 400 days DLC and I hope I will see Eddie and Nate someday out of everyone in that cast.

    • I wanted to see the rest of the Hershel's kids in A New Day.

    • As much as I dislike Lilly, I hope she comes back, I won't try to kill her unless she gives me a good reason to.

    • I wish there was a choice to shoot Arvo (in fact I wish Arvo died earlier) or at least keep the choice to shoot Mike.

    • I'm not excited for Michonne DLC but I will play it anyway.

    • I wish you could hug more people in the game.

    • Michelle's death is the most satisfying death in the game. She was just a typical bully.

    • My favorite episode is Starved for Help while my least favorite was obviously Amid the Ruins.

    • I wanted to hit Becca for being a shithead and talking low about Sarah.

    • I hope cancer survivors died.

    • I enjoyed my opposite gameplay more than my regular one.

There's more but I don't want to neatpick everything just yet.

    TV show:

-I laughed so hard when Lori crashed at the empty road.

    • I like Shane and I wish he lived longer.

    • I never liked Carl.

    • I think Judith is Shane's kid.

    • I prefer Merle over Daryl. Merle in fact is my number one favorite.

    • I am pretty neutral about Michonne.

    • Tyresse death almost made me cry. So far only Lori's death made me shed a tear.

    • I love/hate Carol. Through episodes I am not sure how to feel about her.

    • I wish Sophia lived longer.

    • The only thing I didn't like about Dale is his relationship with Andrea.

    • I wish Billy Greene appeared in the TV show. Same goes for Beth in comics. I don't like this ''Billy is replaced by Beth'' thing.

    • Despite her issues, I hope Sasha lives longer.

    • I hope that Alexandria will fall apart and that mostly everyone will die or vanish.

    • I hate Nicholas and Gabriel more than anyone in the TV show.

    • Gareth and his family reminds me of St. John family in the game.

    • I didn't like Eugene at first, but now I find him quite likeable.

    • Noah didn't deserve to die so horribly.

    • My favorite seasons are 1 and 4, my least favorite is 5. I think 2 and 3 are alright.

    • I wonder if Abraham Ford will have an awesome death scene like he did in comics. (if he dies, of course)

    • Tara somehow reminds me of Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4. Which is one of the reasons she's one of my favorites.

    • I also find Tara hotter than Rosita. (Maggie is still a biggest bae)

    • I hate Clementine.
    • I love Kenny.

Well, everyone sees characters from different ways and perspectives. I respect your opinion on my opinion. You did make some good points about Carol, I guess. About Tyreese being bipolar, I find him to be a very inconsistent character due to his character being written by a bunch of writers. For example, at one point, he has no problem killing walkers and then at another point, he can't bring himself to end a walker's life.

    Comic:

-Hate it. Kirkman has been rehashing plotlines over and over again in order to drag out the comic.

-Carl is extremely edgy and cannot be taken seriously.

-Comic Abraham was the only good thing to come out of it.

    • I feel as if both Sarah and Nick's deaths were cheap, yet at the same time I feel it was Telltale's way of showing us that anything could happen in the apocalypse and not everyone gets their own special sendoff.
    • I feel as if I've created my own Clem in S2, despite the choices not having much impact.
    • I sided mostly with Lilly in S1, and still hope she makes some sort of return in the future.
    • I wish Sarah lived through the season despite her lack of usefulness. I wanted us to make her able to survive by having her with us.
    • I've always had a dislike for Kenny, ever since he was in denial over his son's death. From that point onward I felt as if it were all about him, especially how S2 presented him. We were following HIS goals, HIS decisions, what HE wants. And gets aggressive when he doesn't have his way.
    • I'm hoping Telltale doesn't ditch Clementine at this point. I want her to continue developing.
    • I've always wanted a way for Matthew to live and not get shot by Nick.
    • I still don't regret shooting Kenny.
    • I feel like Duck was one of the most pointless characters. Then again being "as dumb as a bag of hammers" was probably how Telltale wanted us to remember him, since he was never not happy.
    • I've always tried to be nice to Larry because I always knew his grudge against Lee was to protect Lilly and even Clem (like he said). Maybe if Larry lived longer there might have been some peace between the two of them, even maybe if Larry was there when Lilly shoots Carley/Doug.
    • I want Molly to come back. I loved her as a character. Her skills, her weapon, and just how amazing she is at surviving. I even want Clem to become something like that.
    • I'm still waiting for the day that the 400 Days DLC is important, apart from introducing Bonnie's character.
    • I've always wanted to smack Becca, or Clem to do so in S2 if we came across her (which we did in Carver's camp).
    • Reggie annoyed me so much.
    • I wouldn't have minded Troy being part of our group... until Jane shot him in the dick.
    • Is Clem and AJ in S3 going to become another Lee and Clem situation?
    • I wish there was a way of killing Arvo in Ep5 when they abandon us, just as there was a choice to kill Mike before Telltale removed it.
    • I'm still disappointed in how Luke died when you choose to cover him instead of help. He wasn't getting pulled down by walkers, and Clem just stayed there staring at him drowning. ALSO Bonnie somehow manages to get out the water and survive while Luke drowns so quickly.
    • I've always wondered what it'd be like if Lilly came back instead of Kenny.
    • I feel like there was a lot more effort put into the Kenny endings.
    • I wonder what would have happened in the end if more people made it to Savannah.
    • Favourite S1 episode - Long Road Ahead - the amount of character development, how much happened in one episode.
    • Least favourite S1 episode - No Time Left - the episode length mainly.
    • Favourite S2 episode - No Going Back - how quickly everything fell apart, the amount of endings.
    • Least favourite S2 episode - All That Remains - Omid's immediate death, separation from Christa, the whole fishing scene.
    • I never regret any of my choices. What's done is done.
    • I don't want S3 to mess up, so that those who hated S2 can finally be somewhat happy with the game's recovery.
