What were your "final words"?

edited January 2016 in Game Of Thrones

Before Asher and Rodrik are saved by their Sentinel, they are seemingly about to get killed and are able to choose their "final words."

I had Rodrik, and picked the "I'm sorry, brother." option. It seemed appropriate, since Asher died for Rodrik to save the house, and yet, in that moment, it seems he failed. It was super emotional since I played Rodrik super unbreakable -- refusing to kiss Ludd's ring, standing up to Gryff, stabbing Ramsay etc etc-- so to not pick the "FUCK YOU ALL!" or (the most popular I think) "THE NORTH REMEMBERS!" lines, you know the badass, defiant ones, and instead go with a defeated, sad line for the first time, made it such a tragic and memorable moment for me... poor Forrester's. Poor Rodrik. At least, for me, he got to do this right before:

Anywayy, what did you all choose, and why?

I found it tragic as well. It was Asher for me and I also chose the ''I'm sorry, brother.'' one.

The lord died so his little brother could live and defeat them, yet he ended up in front of Whitehills launching at him that seemed like the end right there. I like it when they lift their heads up as the Whitehill soldier is about to cut it off, meaning Asher/Rodrik knows he was defeated. Right before bae Royland jumps in to spoil the Whitehill party. oooooooooo yis

  • As Rodrik I Said " The North Remembers!"

  • With Rodrik, I had chosen the "The North Remembers" line. I role-played Rodrik as the unbreakable man, and even in the face of death, I played him as a man who would not yield, no matter the situation.

  • Rodrik for me " The North Remembers!"

I'd always been a kind Rodrik on my first play through (sparing Gryff from mutilation, sticking up for Talia and locking up my traitor, then saving Ryon from Gryff.) but it hadn't mattered one jot : I was always reasonable and ready to negotiate, but the Whitehills and Boltons turned everything to shit anyway.

My Rodrik had fought and lost - but he wanted to remind the Whitehills that no one had forgotten the red wedding, no one had forgotten what they had done and that those who remained would never forgive them. They would never rule the North.

    The North Remembers.

  • I picked Iron From Ice! In episode 6 I really wanted Asher to truly embrace that he's a Forrester, his fathers son, to show that this where he belongs, right in the thick of it, defending his family til his last breath.

Just Asher being Asher till his last breath.

  • I picked **I'm sorry brother... **Because my Rodrik really felt like he had failed Asher when he didn't win the war. His sacrifice was for nothing because all of them would be executed by the Whitehills.

  • I also had Rodrik say "I'm sorry brother", and for the excact same reasons too. Though if Rodrik had the option to say "Iron from Ice" like Asher had I'd probably pick that one

Mine was F#ck you Playing as Rodrik.

  • I played as Asher.

Picked "Iron From Ice" without hesitation. Although, I do think "Not My Good Side" fits Asher a bit more :P

  • My "canon" save is as Rodrik and I picked the eff you. "I'm sorry, brother" was a very, very close second and pulled at my proverbial heartstrings but I figured Rodders would be seeing Asher in a minute so he could tell him then. I played Rodrik as defiant and I had him take every opportunity he could to make Gryff's time at Ironrath difficult, so it fit my Rodrik to be spitting some f bombs after all the infuriating crap he'd been through.

  • The North Remembers!

  • My Rodrik playthrough: "FUCK YOU ALL!"

    My Asher playthrough: "Sorry, brother"

  • I had Asher sacrifice himself and the dialogue option I picked was "Iron from Ice." I think so at least. It's been a while since I've played episode 5 and still haven't played the finale. But I have heard it was incredibly disappointing.

  • Fuck you all as Rodrik and Iron From Ice as Asher.

    • As Asher, I said "Iron from Ice." (my canon save)

    • As Rodrik, I said "the North remembers."

I said these because they're both Northmen, so I thought, might as well stay true to it.

  • Both my sister and I said "I'm sorry". I found it interesting and in a way a bit sad. I chose Asher as a sacrifice, and she chose Rodrik. So in a way, I was in a world where my younger sister was dead, and my sister was in a world where I was dead. And we both just instinctively would say "I'm sorry, brother/sister" if we were about to die. Little things like that can strengthen family bonds, in a weird way.

  • Rodrik: "The North Remembers!"
I almost wanted Rodrik to say "I'm sorry, brother.", but if he is going to die, might as well spat his enemies in the face in defiant.

    Asher: "Iron from Ice."

  • if we were about to die. Little things like that can strengthen family bonds

Doesn't really matter when you're dead, right?

As Asher, I said "Not my good side." (again, this line is fucking gold)

As Rodrik, I said "The North Remembers!"

  • Asher: "Iron from ice!"

    Rodrik: "Fuck you all!"

  • I don't remember exactly but i think i picked "i'm sorry, brother," with Rodrik, too.

It seemed like the best option imo.

  • 'The North Remembers!'

It was in the character of my Rodrik of say such a thing and pretty much defy the Whitehills until the very end no matter how hopeless it seems.

  • 'Not my good side'

  • Asher: "Iron From Ice"

    1. RODRIK: THE NORTH REMEMBERS!
    2. ASHER: IRON FROM ICE.

from iron from ice. i had asher stay behind

  • "FUCK YOU ALL!"

  • It might count in the afterlife. :V I was referring to the bond between me and my sister, but when I reread sentence, it does look weird.

if we were about to die. Little things like that can strengthen family bonds Doesn't really matter when you're dead, right?

  • "The North Remembers"

As The North will remember how hard the Forresters fought for their house and each other.

  • As Rodrik I said: "I'm sorry Asher". This moment was actually pretty big for me. In the four months between episodes 5 and 6, everyone were saying that Ashrik was going to die. I disagreed. But when Rodrik was surrounded I was 100% certain that I had been wrong and everyone else had been right. So I was sorry. I was sorry that Asher had to die for me.
