I think it's a breath of fresh air, but fortunately, Telltale has hinted we also get Season 3 this year (saying that this year will be the b… moreiggest year they've had for Walking Dead), so you fortunately won't have to wait too long before Season 3 starts. Expect more info on Season 3 sometime after Michonne ends!
My interest went from "Who the hell even asked for this game?" to "I still didn't ask for this, but maybe I will buy it when I get time"
Game seems atleast better than what I thought it would be. And honestly I don't like Michonne as a protagonist, but it is atleast refreshing that it has Zero to do with Clementine.

Can I just say that Michonne's voice actress is fucking amazing? I just rewatched this and the way that she said "Some days I envy the dead" at the end was so awesome. It sounded natural without seeming like it was forced.
Did you not see any of my several posts where I said I didn't like 90 minute episodes back when they were around, or how having more interactivity would be nice?
Explaining the reasoning for something is not the same as defending it, which people sometimes seem to mix up.
Borderlands had a very similar reaction back when that game was announced. People thought Telltale was making a heartless cash in with the Borderlands name slapped on that was just going to be about memes and guns.

I just watched the preview and i am even more hyped than i was before, the details on the walkers look really good and from the preview the use of the machete looks like it will be fun.
I am a big fan of all the Walking Dead mediums so i am looking forward to playing as Michonne and see what happened when she left for that period of time.
I just watched this since my time zone is a bitch and...WOW! Holy shit, that was awesome. They haven't spoiled anything and yet they got most of us hyped. I heard new walker groans and the animation seemed more fluid and the story seemed interesting so far. It's this kind of vague preview that doesn't tell you much but it gives you the hype.
I'm in, babe. I mean, I was in from the very beginning, but yeah, I'm in.

I think it's more of to show Michonne's state of mind, that she's gotten to the point where she might just end her life, it's more symbolic for such a strong character like Michonne in my opinion.
I think it's a bit weird that all of the sudden she is hallucating and wanting to kill herself, I've read the comics, and at that point she definitely isn't hallucating, and certainly not sucidal. Not sure what to think really.
I think it is possible that she spend some time of her absence alone. Without any social interaction, constantly fighting Walkers and still haunted by her past and is said to hear 'voices' in the comics, it is clear that she isn't mentally healthy.
So it is not unreasonable to assume that she has these hallucinations.

Reading the comments section on youtube, it seems people are saying the animation is pretty bad, and I'm just sitting there thinking 'what'
… more
They've been steadily phasing out older animations, and making more fluid replacements as time goes on, yet people seem to act like it's getting worse or not getting better at all. I don't get it.
The only problem I had with the preview is that I understood half of what Michonne said, and nothing of what Pete said. Adds to the realism, I guess?
Did any non-native-speaker have that issue, too?

The background music could explain why I didn't understand much. Or maybe I was focused on the new zombies. I generally don't have trouble listening to dialog (without subtitles).
What do you mean by the dialect? Her voice was kind of low, but I owe that to the somberness of the situation. I didnt find anything unusual about her speech.
Man that was awesome! I wish I didn't watch it now though. Oh well, really looking forward to this one! The cinematic-y style is a huge step-up from previous seasons.

Well, if you want to go into Michonne with a good background but nothing after the mini-series, read up to the end of All-Out War Part 2, which ends at Issue #126 I believe. You could always read up to Michonne's return in Issue #139 if you want.

There's also the question of whether or not they're truly hallucinations. That entire scene could all be part of a dream sequence, possibly. All six minutes part of one dream. That might explain Pete showing up, and why he's all blurry and muffled.
Or the hallucinations are more of a symbolic thing meant to show the player where Michonne is mentally, and where she's getting all that energy and rage from. So they're not really happening, they're just visualizing Michonne's state of mind for the players, if that makes sense.

I would imagine fi it were all a dream sequence then the clip of her waking up would be how it ends, before we get to walk around the boat and meet the characters.

Also, I just need to say that I really love that view from the apartment. All those high rises in the background. Even going off the little bits we've seen in these six minutes, also including the screenshots as well, it seems like they really upped their environmental design, too.

I never see you say anything negative about telltale.
As soon as I saw her name attached, I knew it was going to be a good fit. She has a rich voice for such a tiny lady.

Who asked for any of them. You dont know you want it until you get it, lol.

And it sounds kind of hot (Don't Judge me)
I'm going to boycott this. Tell them Will.

I want the soundtrack ;-; , i wish someone would remake all the soundtracks heard in this preview and then to upload it on ytb. xD

This.is.#SICK!
CANT WAIT FOR 25TH!
the story is #INTENSE
Seems...intense, anyway
This is going to be awesome , i can`t wait
Does Telltale really try to make us think Michonne is gonna commit suicide? Ha, that's funny.
I don't know about anyone else, but I've been wanting a game where I could play as Michonne.

most pople are under this impression that: if telltale don't change their engine their games are bad.
Saw this at 2am and it was worth every second I stayed awake
Praise be to Telltale ( ;•;)
I refuse to watch it, will enjoy it for myself on release haha
Not really, I didn't have many problems understanding it.
Ohh, looks pretty cool. I'm getting excited for this.
I remember. Even I was like, "Hmm? How is that going to work?" And then it exceeded all my expectations. I hsve no doubt this will to.
A dream come true.
Youre boycotting the preview or the game?
I can see her reverting from the stress and loneliness. Its not like she's seeing a therapist.
The background music could explain why I didn't understand much. Or maybe I was focused on the new zombies. I generally don't have trouble listening to dialog (without subtitles).
By dialect, I mean the distinct way some African-Americans speak, a.k.a. AAVE, but my issue mostly lies on understanding pronunciation.
Man that was awesome! I wish I didn't watch it now though. Oh well, really looking forward to this one! The cinematic-y style is a huge step-up from previous seasons.
There's also a bunch of comments about Season 3 coming out.
Now I look forward to this but it feels like I should read more about Michonne before buying the game
I can't remember, but isn't this also the first time a woman in a telltale game's hair moved?

Okay I take a look at her background first that just feels kinda right
Even her hair is badass.

Clementine's pigtails in S2 bounce around a little bit when she moves her head, if that counts.
