Huh? SO many characters have had their straight relationships mentioned! Kenny mentions that he and Sarita are in a relationship really soon… more after reuniting in season 2, was that shoving heterosexuality down our throats? We even catch Jane and Luke doing it!
You don't know whether this relationship affects the plot yet though. Maybe Jonas will get incredibly angry if Zack died and that'll instigate something. Maybe he'll refuse to give Sam medical aid.
Also things don't have to affect the plot to not be 'shoved down your throat'. Arvo being Russian didn't add to the overall plot, that doesn't mean him being russian was shoved down our throats. Luke and Jane having sex didn't really add to the overall plot. But I can't remember you saying heterosexuality was being shoved down our throats?
Yes no matter how well something might be done you will always find the few and the proud to complain of dislike. I'm sure even the master piece of walking dead season 1 has a couple passionate loathers too.
100% agree but i think this is like "Kenny should be Dead!" or "Lee is too Clumsy" for this series. Its something that people like to harp … moreon constantly eventhought its really minor or just nonexistent as a problem.
People HAVE to find something to whinne about . The episode is fantastic so this is all they have.
Anyway nice to see you again bro and im glad we both liked it
To be fair, I don't fully like Michonne so far, but I agree the comparisons are selective and arbitrary. The issues I have with the game are far more complex than just dismissing the whole thing as a rip-off. If anything, one of the game's greatest strengths is it's relative originality. I like the naval setting thus far and it makes the game feel unique.

Wow, I've spent way to much time on this...
Like I said, I'm not here to debate you...even though that's what we've been doing for the past few hours...
All of this came from me basically saying it Felt a 'Tad' (something small and minuscule) "forced", not saying it was, it just felt that way. I never said it was invasive, let me clarify: I said as long as it's not trying to be invasive (which I don't believe it is) it shouldn't keep you liking from something...

Thanks a bunch. I've always wondered at what point in time in the comics season two began and concluded. Also wanted to find out when season 1 wrapped up in the comics.
According to the Video Game Timeline and the Comic Timeline in Wikia—both which I'm going to be trusting more than our memories—the day in w… morehich Season 2 finished is day 860, and the day in which All Out War finished is day 623.
It's implied that she left Alexandria soon after the war had ended. Siddiq introduced them to Oceanside, so she didn't wander on her own for long, as she only had to reach said community. We learned that Pete—who is from Oceanside—found Michonne when she was about to commit suicide, and three weeks later, they were already sailing The Companion.
I'll also tag @Wigams.
I'm just commenting about the derailing,I did not caused it...(really appreciate how you make it look like it's my fault, unbelievable man.).Unless I start talking about AJ or Clem's age... that is gonna start it.

I won't be fine. My boyfriend was bitten. you get sick and you die and you come back and kill anything you can find.

Weren't Shel and Stephanie hinted at being in a relationship? I've seen far less people complain about that than I've seen about Zackary and Jonas—even though it's only been a day—and it could be due to the fact that it wasn't as explored, as explicitly mentioned and as relevant to the story. Not my personal opinion, though.

What's unrealistic are the walkers attacking the boat. I mean what the hell, walkers can't jump on a boat like that, they can't even jump or climb. When a walker grabs Pete's foot, it grabbed it so fast, that's completely bullcrap. They can't even walk in the water like that, they should have just float or something. Is this turning into a zombie game where zombies are smart and can run?

You did make a fair argument. Even though I don't completely agree with everything but I'm not gonna go into it cause all that's going to do is open a whole new can of worms. I guess we'll never know. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
But lets finish this on good terms, something we can both agree on: That Telltale is an awesome Game Developer that make great games that anyone can enjoy despite their differences! Agreed?

First : Hi. I've never seen you on the forums. I hope you don't take any offence to my comment.
Ok, yes. Nothing is perfect. Every masterpiece has a corner flaw. A missed chance that could have made the work better or more enjoyable. Or maybe a plothole that with just one word could be filled but the writter just ignored it. Or that one mystery that never gets solved because it was no longer relevant or the writter forgot. And critism is necesary to point this out so that future works (or maybe the SAME work) fix or avoid the error altogther.
But, to be honest, i don't get what you're trying to get by pointing out similarities between season 2 and Michonne. Every single reason that i think you could have makes no sense to me.
First possibility is that you're trying to point this out so telltale takes this and makes changes to the script so it gets better like so many did for Got. But that would'nt work here since each ep is coming out monthly so they already have to be near finished development so any possible change would be minor.
Second possibility is that you are doing this to show another reason why people should avoid and dislike season two since this other telltale game is a better version of that story. But then you're beating a dead horse. Everyone has a formed opinión on season two by now, be it that it was a waste of time and money, a good story filled with small flaws people are two hard on or simply another ammo for telltale haters about why the games suck. You would be wasting your energy.
Third would be that you wish to say that Michonne should'nt be played since its just a story retread. But that would'nt make sense since you say that it's "The story telltale should've told in the first place" meaning that it's a good telltale story that would be worth peoples time.
Ok took a long time to get to it but here is my point: This achives nothing. I compared the argument to "Kenny should be dead" and "Lee's too Clumsy" because like those two you're trying to point out a possible flaw that wont change anything. So you end up complaining about something that wont be 'fixed' can't be 'fixed' and many believe doesn't need to be 'fixed'.
Im very sorry if i sound offencefull or have offended you in any way. I really hope you don't take this in that sense, since i sadly can't type tone of voice and you could possibly see this as agressive or confrontational. That is not what i'm trying to accomplish nor am i in anyway trying to ignore your honest critism. I just want to understand why you think that seeing it a rip off of season two will get anything but uneeded hate for the series.
People HAVE to find something to whinne about.
Yes no matter how well something might be done you will always find the few and the p… moreroud to complain of dislike. I'm sure even the master piece of walking dead season 1 has a couple passionate loathers too.
I don't care for them shoehorning a gay couple in everything either, and it does seem disturbingly derivative of season 2 with the Carver situation.
What also worries me is that the first episode of season 1 and 2 are almost always the pinnacle of the season imo.
But I will keep optimistic, hopefully the future episodes will lead to an original story.
Even gay couple is in there too, which becomes a "must be in game thing" in every recent Telltale games (TftB, TWD S2), just like Bioware. And 80 min episodes are back again. As for me, this is a bad start for these mini-series.
I just take it as them grabbing the boat but you may have a point.
As for speed, it has always been an unconfirmed fan theory that walkers have more arm strenght/speed than with their legs. It would explain why so many get grabbed so easily and have a hard time losing the walkers grip. It would also explain how they can pull a person close to them even when they are healthy and strong.
What's unrealistic are the walkers attacking the boat. I mean what the hell, walkers can't jump on a boat like that, they can't even jump or… more climb. You're forgetting they live in a completely different world, it was a well established lesson and point Season 1.
There are no "children" anymore, and treating Clementine as a child will only get her or someone else killed. (Like Charles and arguably Lee/Omid/Christa.)
A little girl alone in the woods, very injured - no regard for the child.
Killer picks up the little girl with one hand, aiming a gun - no … morereaction of adults.
Send a small girl on dangerous missions! They are crazy!
A little girl nearly died from the cold, no reaction deserves it.
And many, many other examples. Are you serious? The kid has not yet 12 years old!
I don't think they can't jump, but presumably they were in the water for some time.
They should've been bloated with all the water they swallowed, since apparently they don't need to breathe.

Season 1 de-railed a bit. But it ends approximately a the end of Vol 1 (or the first 6 issues if you prefer it that way).
I find it interesting that they did a whole season for volume 1 then ultra extended Vol 2 so they could do the same and even though they added a bunch of subplots to fit into Seasons 3-4 they still covered Volumes 3-8 and later 9-10 and ending with the begining of 11
Then in season 5 they finished 11 with 4 eps, made tv only plot with Beth and then extended Vol. 12 and ended with the last 3 episodes dedicated to Vol. 13
Season 6 started with another tv only plot then dedicated 2 episodes to Volume 14. Volume 15 has just become the first Volume to be skipped (though many elements of it may show up later). The last episode started with Volume 16 which is believed will take the next few eps and the season end with Volume 17 covering the last few eps.
Sorry if gave you all that extra info but im just trying to help as much as possible. Any other doubts just let me know
Thanks a bunch. I've always wondered at what point in time in the comics season two began and concluded. Also wanted to find out when season 1 wrapped up in the comics.
Thanks for the info, however I was trying to find out about the timeline of the first season ending of the video game series up against the comic series timeline. But I am aware of the television series.

I think you mean the concept of it? The concept is not new. It's the approach that matters. You're missing so much context, that when put together, you would see it's not the same game.
Don't you think that "michonne" is basically a rip off season 2? I mean we see bunch of corpses (on the river/at the ferry), who were all s… morehot through the head, then we meet some survivors who surely ran off from other group(cabin survivors/Greg and Sam), then we meet 4 members of that group with assaults rifles and they take us hostages and drive to their camp, where we get beaten and soon plan to escape. It is not right, right guys?
And many, many other examples. Are you serious? The girl has not yet 12 years old!
That's the point of the Walking Dead. You are shown the various mentalities of characters, and how they survive. Like Chuck phrased it;
You gotta consider her a living person, that's it! You're either living or you're not. You ain't little, you ain't a girl, you ain't a boy, you ain't strong or smart, you're alive.

Yeah, they keep on shoehorning heterosexual couples in all their games too. Like we get it, straight people exist, they don't need to be shoved down our throats.

Yeah but even with that people are not going to treat a 12 year old just like an adult. Making them resposible etc sure, but making her do pretty much everything. No

I think that some adults did treat her like a kid in Season 2 sometimes. Luke often acted like a protective big brother and worried a lot about her safety. But yes, most of them treated her like she was an adult, only shorter.
But Michonne is different. She lost her children, and she is a big softie with kids (really the only thing soft about our badass samurai lawyer). I do wish she would find Clem, she would take good care of her.
Even gay couple is in there too, which becomes a "must be in game thing" in every recent Telltale games (TftB, TWD S2), just like Bioware. And 80 min episodes are back again. As for me, this is a bad start for these mini-series.
Those are very generalized similarities, if you actually go into details and specifics, you can easily tell that despite having similar events in the plot, Michonne is hardly anything like Season 2 thus far, this kind of reminds me of those people who attempt to state that Star Wars Episode 7 is just Episode 4 remade.

I don't think anyone can objectively state which characters are 'realistic' and which aren't. Unless you can prove a character isn't realistic by showing proof that out of every person that's ever existed, none of them are even remotely similar to any of the characters portrayed in the game. I mean, who gets to choose what a realistic portrayal of a character is? Remember that people are very diverse and I don't mean that lightly, differing personalities, attitudes, emotional expressions, ideals, thoughts, opinions and different reactions to even more varied situations.

I think Walkers can be smarter than some of us think, going back to Season One, there were plenty of Walkers that picked up toys, used rocks as tools for smashing glass, tried to open doors, climbed fences and attempted to climb ladders, there was a discussion about this on Reddit Plus some of them did kind of run, i mean if they were just at walking/power walking speed, people shouldn't have that much difficulty getting away from them if they run in large bursts of speed, I guess the mere fact that they have Walkers in the first place lets them experiment with them.

Those relationships were mentioned because it added to the overall plot.
I just feel like TFTBL and TWD S2 handled it better xp
You don't know whether this relationship affects the plot yet though. Maybe Jonas will get incredibly angry if Zack died and that'll instigate something. Maybe he'll refuse to give Sam medical aid.
Also things don't have to affect the plot to not be 'shoved down your throat'. Arvo being Russian didn't add to the overall plot, that doesn't mean him being russian was shoved down our throats. We still have Irene from "A New Day", who was bitten by her heterosexual boyfriend, and neither of them were relevant to the overall plot.

When a walker grabs Pete's foot, it grabbed it so fast, that's completely bullcrap. They can't even walk in the water like that, they should have just float or something. Is this turning into a zombie game where zombies are smart and can run?
I don't remember that?
You did make a fair argument. Even though I don't completely agree with everything but I'm not gonna go into it cause all that's going to do is open a whole new can of worms. You're definitely have the right to question it you please, I have no qualms discussing an opinion which it started as that until we both blew it out of proportion.
You're forgetting they live in a completely different world, it was a well established lesson and point Season 1.
There are no "children" anymore, and treating Clementine as a child will only get her or someone else killed. (Like Charles and arguably Lee/Omid/Christa.)
Any other doubts just let me know
Clem (is only 10-11 yr) not little kid for them (for adults) it's sad ...
That's the point of the Walking Dead. You are shown the various mentalities of characters, and how they survive. Like Chuck phrased it;
You gotta consider her a living person, that's it! You're either living or you're not. You ain't little, you ain't a girl, you ain't a boy, you ain't strong or smart, you're alive.
Oh, the game?
Well the first season takes place about 3-4 months before Vol. 1
Season 2 takes place after Volume 19-21 (ish).
Michonne takes place between Volume. 21-22 which is a two year timeskip.
No
she's not yet 12
I think that some adults did treat her like a kid in Season 2 sometimes. Luke often acted like a protective big brother and worried a lot about her safety. But yes, most of them treated her like she was an adult, only shorter.
But Michonne is different. She lost her children, and she is a big softie with kids (really the only thing soft about our badass samurai lawyer). I do wish she would find Clem, she would take good care of her.
pretty sure atehna having a girlfriend was established in the presequel. you know the game that takes place both before and after tftbl.
Remember that people are very diverse and I don't mean that lightly, differing personalities, attitudes, emotional expressions, ideals, thoughts, opinions and different reactions to even more varied situations.
the only character in michoone that is anything like a season 2 character is randell who has alot of troy in him.
I think Walkers can be smarter than some of us think, going back to Season One, there were plenty of Walkers that picked up toys, used rocks as tools for smashing glass, tried to open doors, climbed fences and attempted to climb ladders, there was a discussion about this on Reddit Plus some of them did kind of run, i mean if they were just at walking/power walking speed, people shouldn't have that much difficulty getting away from them if they run in large bursts of speed, I guess the mere fact that they have Walkers in the first place lets them experiment with them.
but a baby surviving without food and winter? heh yeah seems realistic...
If Season 2 were realistic, it would be boring to play as her, i think
HOLY SHIT CUTECLEM IS BACK!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and also. Greg is not a good example to compare. He saved his sister by taking the shot instead of her, not because he couldn't protect himself
