I think it was supposed to indicate how much they were caught by surprise. The saviors werent ready for that attack. Probably no one fights … moreback.
Its not like our group was all going to get gunned down, and we knew it. Weve seen this before. Someone will die when theyre ready to rip our hearts out.
That was too fool the audience into thinking they killed all or most of them so that in the finale when they are going to fear the immencitty of the group.
Oh man! I just thought the sleeping men were sick freaks that took pictures of people they killed! They're still sick freaks, but I just now realized: of course those are the victims of Lucille!
I really enjoyed this episode, i have been looking forward to the Negan story arc for a while so it's exciting to finally see it in action.

One thing i noticed was Glenn looking at the polaroids of Lucille's victims which i thought was good foreshadowing, i'm really looking forward to the next few episodes will build up the the season final which will be a really smashing episode.
For me personally I think they have handled the Saviours poorly. I have not read the comics as far as the Saviours but I was under the impression that these were supposed to be real tough guys who are very creepy.

Oh, sorry. I was trying to avoid that. I hope i didn't ruin anything for you. Very sorry. It will never happen again. (Thank God it was something minor)

Looks like Rick is starting to look like he did at the beginning of Season 5. If I was able to post a photo to prove my point, I would.
And yeah Gabriel turning into a warrior priest is pretty cool.
Last night when he killed that man, it reminded of this scene from Boondock Saints, which did star Norman Reedus.

This was a fantastic episode, an honest 10/10 from me. It's amazing how when they start actually following the comics the show becomes leagu… morees better. This episode left us with many questions and moved the story forward and put through a lot of character development.
I loved the opening with Carol. The cookie on Sam's grave was sweet and necessary to see that Carol really cared. Carol’s character development is a nice bit of quality writing that actually feels organic and real rather than forced—though her sudden romance with Tobin felt as jarring as Rick and Michonne’s. It seemed that she had finally reached the point of wanting some semblance of normalcy and human intimacy in her life again. In the past she would have been up for a fight, but this time it was obvious that she didn't relish Rick's plan to attack the Saviors. Very well done and adds yet another layer of complexity to her character.

I really think it won't be Glenn that gets the bat, i think they are constantly making us believe it's going to be him but they'll swap the deaths on the show. I've said for a while that i think it will be Morgan or Daryl or maybe Abe. Morgan because Negan won't like his all life is precious belief and i can see him giving his life to save Rick or another kind of like the way Eastman did for him. Abraham is possible but Daryl dying will break a lot of hearts and will have people talking about it for ages, it would be a huge impact. I'd hate to see it happen but i think the show needs to have a major character die because it's been too long now. Season 1 characters are starting to become very safe. Would ratings decline due to how many people love Daryl though? Would they have Negan kill Carol or pregnant Maggie which would be i believe opposite to his comic counterpart where he didn't believe in violence to women?
Whatever happens, I haven't been this excited for a season finale since Season 2
I haven't been able to give my opinion on this episode yet, heh.
It was intense, for me at least. Maggie and Carol getting kidnapped was a pain in my heart. I also felt an increasingly amount of heartbreak for Glenn and Heath as they had to kill people, whilst it was going to happen at one point -I mean, it's the freaking zombie apocalypses- it still hurts to see them do it and speaking of Glenn, I'm still screaming at the foreshadowing! So I think it's, unfortunately, obvious that he's going to get the bat :c
Tara and Denies are otp as fuck, I felt warm when she told her she loved her and admitted that she does to Jesus and Gabriel. Also Abraham is a dick, I like him for a comedic reason and I'm glad he did brake up with Rosita because of his feelings for Sasha, but the whole "when I first met you, I thought you were the last woman on earth. You're not"? Who the fuck brakes up with a girl like that?! At this point I'm praying that Sasha turns him down.
Over all, it wasn't as great as episode 9, but still a pretty great episode.

Well I mean after fighting group after group of psychopathic killers, I think they've kind of gotten used to this. It's clearly gonna be easy at first because the Saviors and Negan are probably under-estimating them.
This episode was complete bullshit when they killed all those saviours, it was ridiculously easy and not one of Rick's group got shot.
Bad writing and directing!

Nope, I think it's a 2 way street. Both of them have under-estimated each other. Rick thinks the saviors are like any other gang, and Negan thinks that his saviors can easily kill Rick. Negan has been proved wrong, so now he won't be so overconfident.

But he more than likely knows of the existence of his group by now, specifically Daryl, Sasha and Abraham. It was a 6 week - 2 month time skip between then and now, so some communications must have been had, plus the car in the background, etc. Negan most likely knows about the assholes who killed his assholes. And even if he doesn't, he's the king, he has reason to believe nobody can take him down, and he's somewhat right. He's under-estimating every threat, and the saviors aren't prepared for a situation in which they might lose. After a while he'll put the pieces together, and he'll realize that Rick's group is a threat.

Yes, I have. And as I recall, Negan gets pissed off at Rick's group for slaughtering some saviors, he brings them in, and beats the shit out of Glenn with a lovely bat named Lucille.
Yep , it will happen soon. But remember, the Saviors were never really threatened by Ricks group. At the end of All Out War one of the reasons Rick made peace was because he realiezed that the Saviors would win.
Only time will tell, my friend. Daryl still has a perfectly smashable head.
But remember, the Saviors were never really threatened by Ricks group.
True, but Rick's group DID slaughter a bunch of saviors, and I'm pretty sure they never thought he'd get that far. At this point, I'm excited for All Out War in the show and I don't fear Negan at all. However, when Alpha shows up in the show, I'm gonna be pretty fucked up. Alpha scares the shit out of me in the comics.
At the end of All Out War one of the reasons Rick made peace was because he realiezed that the Saviors would win.
And yet they didn't, because Rick Grimes is too badass to keel over and die.

100% Sure Morgan is building a cell. Maybe for himself right now? And obviously like in the comics, used for other people.
To make it a bit more realistic they should not have had so many Saviours in that building for them to die so easily.
That was too fool the audience into thinking they killed all or most of them so that in the finale when they are going to fear the immencitty of the group.
Saviors had a few ouposts. I think they said they had about 10 in the comics.
Yep, i believe its very intense Forshadowing for the end of AOW.
Abraham: When I first met you, I thought you were the last woman on earth...you're not.
And that is how, you do not break up with somebody.
Jesus Abraham...

Don't post spoilers please.
Well, they were kind of presented the same way in comics initially. I'd give them some more time.
They are...wait a few eps.

You're an asshole and I hate you.
yes smashing
Just you wait. It's going to be pee pee pants city here real soon.

One of the definitions of "smashing" is "excellent" and i think the final will be an excellent episode, what else could i have meant

Big things......unexpected things. But you're a tv fan and i would never forgive myself for telling you. Just expect a few big scenes soon.
I forgot to mention how hard I laughed at this.
Please tell me what happens??!!! PLEASE!!!
Dude just wait a bit. They have publicly confirmed those things will happen somewhere in the last two eps.
I CAN'T WAIT TELL ME PLEASE, TELL ME!!!
Not doing it. We all have to wait bro. Just a few more days.
No Caryl?!
NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
And as far as the "The look you get when you realize taking on Negan was a bad idea", I get the same look when some asshole cuts me off in traffic.

Can I guess what happens? Will you tell me if I get it right?
I think its the other way around. Rick an the group are 100% underestimating the saviors.
You can guess but i wont tell you.
