I worry about S3 the more I think about it.
I really want Telltale to continue with Clementine as a character, but what else is there to do with her? I guess the whole point of Season 2 was to see Clementine change but in your own way. How she can turn from a frightened child to a capable 11 year old survivor. But I think Telltale slightly rushed that change.
I personally want to see her as a teenager and want to see how the endings to S2 matter, but at the same time I don't want Telltale to draw out her story just to keep her in the game. I don't want Telltale to find reasons to keep her in, but instead recognise that her story might have potential left if they know how to play it out right. Ditching her as a protagonist is a decent idea since some of the endings to S2 were some sort of closure, but then what was the point of the previous two seasons if we move onto an entirely new story and character? But when Job said that the new season will be a continuation as much as it is a new beginning, it panics me because that could mean anything.
I'm trying not to think about the season going wrong, but there were things about S2 that were off to me and I just don't want that to continue. Fresh ideas, fresh scenarios, fresh choices.

I'm worried too, but all we can do is wait and see how it turns out. :P
That's the painful part ;-;
We've got to wait until July for more info, yet they said originally that we would get some sort of information regarding S3 after the Michonne series finished. So I'm lost.
I hope we're gonna play as a new character. Any kind of sequel with Clementine will ruin S2 beautiful ending. Clem already has a complete arc. She started as a little defensless girl and now she's more adult than most grown-ups due to her ,,adventures". She doesn't need any kind of sequel.
July is after the Michonne series fineshed :P
COMPLETE ARC? Tell me: How is an arc complete after walking trough a herd of walkers or accepting someone dangerous in her group? Of course it needs sequel! Her story is not over.
You know what I mean xD Like, not long after its finished.
I'm not entirely sure how you could end someone's story in TWD without them getting killed.
Kenny endings are canon because Kenny.
Kenny is rotting in my playthrough so Season 3 must not be for me...
Canon? WTF? We have the choice to chose, it's not: That's the right one just because Kenny is alive in it...
EDIT: Even if there was one that included murdering everyone in the cabin, and just 1% of players did that, it still couldn't be considered cannon.
You can end by making them disapear, by killing them, by curing the virus (lol) or by getting to a 100% ( ONE HUNDRES PERCENT ) safe place
Oh ok :v
If none of those happen, the story can't really be considered over, as there might be a lot of plots in the future.
That's what I'm thinking about Clementine. She isn't dead, therefore her story isn't over. That actually makes me feel a bit better.
What else is there to do with her? Well they're continuing her story, look at the Comics and TV Show characters, they've had more screen time than Clementine, I think they'll be able to think of something, especially since several people have made theories and their own stories for Season 3 with Clementine and the different Endings. In the end, the people at TTG have probably made their mind or have a decent idea of what Season 3 is going to be about, nothing much we can really say, only speculate until news released after The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 3 this month I believe.
It bugs the crap outta me too, wondering what Telltale is going to do with Clementine's story in S3. We won't know until some more info. is posted, but it seems at the very least TT know what they're doing. We can give our two cents on what they should do, but in the end were at their mercy.
I mean the whole point behind TWDG is Clementine. She's the main purpose behind the series. So yeah I guess you're right.
I mean based on how much I loved Tales From The Borderlands and their Game of Thrones series, I think they could do a pretty good job. It's just that there are still some people pissed about how S2 went and I just want it to work. But then again, not everyone is gonna be satisfied regardless of what they do.
I wonder if it'll have multiple protagonists since they said it'll be considerably larger than usual.
True that.
Very good point.
Maybe we'll switch between Clementine and Kenny/Jane in the first episode and then, if they die in Ep1, we switch to a completely new character? I dunno, just throwing random theories in here. XD
Random but relevant
I'm on the same boat, I don't want a new Protagonist, I want to be Clem
I want Clementine as the playable character too and I think the vast majority want that also.
How is that not a cliffhanger, thats more a cliffhanger than the current episode
Yes thats an option, not one id want mind you
So impossible
Also impossible.
Really im still not sure how people want clementines story to end without her dying
"How is that not a cliffhanger, thats more a cliffhanger than the current episode", Well, this and killing the cahracter are the only ways to make the game continue without it so if they do want to continue it without her, they have to make either of those.
Well, they have to have an ending that envolves something that is not death, how are they gonna finish the comics without Rick finding a perfect way to deal with walkers? If they just killed him the global story would be over and we would never know what happend to the other survivors, if there was safe countries and if there was a cure. I doubt they will make the poor choice of just killing the main character.
So just go read the comics or the TV show! That's the walking dead without clementine.
I think there's much more to do with Clem's character. I think that if TT wanted Clem's story to be over, as unrealistic as the alone ending was, that ending was the most solid ending in portraying the end of the Clementine story arc. The fact that Clementine's character os so young is enough to keep going. She's only 11. S2 solidified that Clem is a capable survivor, but now the story can really progress into WHAT type of survivor will she become. We kind of got a glimpse of that in S2 in the choice given at the end and how you can choose to interact with Carver and other characters interactions, but I think we should be able to develop that even more.
?
i want Clem still child
The family possibly is dangerous, that's why it is a cliffhanger.
So go and play the walking dead michonne, really TWDG would not exist without Clementine... On season 1 we wouldn't even have a reason to survive, and season 2...
Yeah, you're probably the only person that likes a game but don't like the thing that makes the story to makes sense and the game to be fun.
Too bad, she'll still grow up :v
12-13 it's not too bad ... but 17-18 no
Maybe we will play as AJ ten years down the line, as a 10 year old. Clementine is 20 years old, and she still looks out for us. I think it's a pretty sweet idea.
It could also help to close the ending of Season 2. Kenny possibly passed away, Jane maybe left us, or Clementine was just able to survive on her own. I think that ties in perfectly. That is, if you are willing to play as a 10 year old again. If not, maybe then they should make Clementine a little older, let's say 25-years old, and AJ is 15 or something. I think that is a pretty sweet idea, and the more I think about the more I want it to be true.
i don't like it.
I could get behind it, but I completely forgot about the comics. So, either way it won't happen.
