IMO, physically, Henry Rollins.
JDM did good though, even though he would've nailed Negan if he had been shaved.
Also, Danny Trejo as The Governor would've been great, too. XD
He would have given Negan a lighter touch a little more "giggly".
Also I would have to put Colin Farrell into the mix as in True Detective he had a few moments where he was terrifying and I believe he would have been similar to JDM's performance. These two guys are obviously not willing to sign on for years to be in the show and probably would ask for way too much.
Funny how you chose Rollins. This is who Kirkman based his look off, he never revealed who it was incase he couldnt do the show in the future.. But

Idk the actors actual name but the guy who voiced Trevor from GTA looked really promising. For the type of arc that Negan goes through, he could've made Negan even more attractive to comic fans and every fan.

The Beard thing was was for one of two reasons:
1) They were testing how fans would react to it to see if he should shave or not.
2) JDM was doing another project and couldn't shave.
But i liked him having his own character. I'm interasted where he goes with it.
I liked the beard, just another way for this Negan to be JDM's take on Negan.
but for more of a COmic Negan look he should def shave.
Just pondering back to The way they changed the govnors story, I only have high hopes for what they'll do with negans. I think the guy was Martinez but the way they lifted him into a character compared to his comic counterpart just makes me crave more Steven Ogg. What if he turns out to be the Dwight of the story instead of the actual Dwight?
I hope since negans a lil smoother in this version that they make him a tactician. I mean the way he captured ricks group already shows that he's not just some sadistic boor of a leader.
I wonder what's gonna happen with Dwight and Darryl. Especially the things Dwight had to do in the comics, it'll be interesting to see how he develops in the show.

One name I saw being thrown around was Craig Fairbrass. Physically, he has a resemblance and definitely has the large physique. I personally think he would have slid into the role perfectly, bearing in mind he dropped his cockney (London) accent, obviously.
Charismatic, with just the right amount of menacing benevolence, I would have picked Elliot Cowan. He did a good job in Da Vinci's Demons, playing a charming but ruthless Lorenzo, and I've posted before about how I could definitely have seen him kill in the role.

Bas Rutten! Look at him! He's retired MMA fighter, known for his charisma. Don't know about his acting skills. He did some voice acting (GTA 4).
He would nail him even more if he shaves!
I love JDM as Negan (in fact, he's near perfect).
However I'd love to see a zanyier version of the character played by everyone's favourite, Nicolas Cage.
I think Warburton would of been very much like the comic Negan.
He looks like him, he's a comedian and he can shout really loud with his distinctive voice
Only thing I would of been unsure with him would be his acting skills for such a big show and character.
