Which character, out off all twd games did you dislike the most.

For me, this would be Kenny it almost started immediately when he was first introduced.
When i tried to save Shawn, and he didn't even tried to help but instead run off like a big coward.
I also think he is the reason, for most off the problems in the group in both of the seasons.
When he killed, a father infront of the mans own daughter, that was the moment the S1 group fell apart, no wonder Lilly got mad with grief and shot Doug/Carley that blood is on his hands aswell.
I also think, he is a person who has no respect for other people or there opinions, he only wants to hear himself talk, and gets mad when someone doesn't agree with him.
So when, he appeard again in S2, i already knew he would create allot of problems again, and i wasn't happy to see him.

Anyway, the intent of this topic, is not to hate on people who dont like characters you like.
Im just intressted to see, all the diffrent opinons and the reasons behind why people dislike that character so much.

  • Bonnie, with Arvo being a close second. She has virtually betrayed every group she's been in, she's a liability, and is a leech that feeds off everyone else around her. She continuously makes poor decisions, and the fact that she has made it this far into the apocalypse is truly stunning.

There are so many topic about who is your favourite character.
I think its intressting to see, what reasons people have for dont liking a character, and its not the intention of the topic to start a conflict with others.
Just to see, which diffrent characters people name, and what the reasons are they dislike them, so much.

Jane. Such Molly spin-off, comes out of nowhere, she gets a bigger development than the main characters of Season 2. She makes Clementine ditch her friends, leaves a defenseless baby to almost die to manipulate her to shoot Kenny. She also wanted to steal all the supplies from a defenseless boy who had meds for his sister which caused him to ambush Clem's group.

Kenny, but I'd rather not dwell on that.

From Michonne, it would be Randall, but it's a''love-to-hate-him'' kinda relationship.

  • If I can only pick one have to go with Jane. I didn't like her much to begin with and was glad when she left and disappointed when she returned(Want a cookie?). Then she pulled that stunt at the end and that was it.

Jane, Larry and Arvo. But out those three I hate Arvo the most.

  • **The Stranger: **

First of all the Stranger can blame you for this:

Either leaving Carley or Doug to die.

Bringing Clementine to the St. Johns' Dairy.

Lying to Clementine about your past.

Allowing Clementine to eat human meat.

    Killing Larry.

    Killing Danny St. John.

Stealing supplies from the Stranger's car.

    Abandoning Lilly.

    Bringing Clementine to Crawford.

    Letting Ben die.

    Source: wikia

So, in the end, the Stranger blamed me for saving Carley over Doug, bringing Clem to the dairy farm (and you don't even have a choice here!) and to Crawford. Those were the motives why the main antagonist of the game hated me? It's also woth noting that the Stranger started to talk to Clementine by the begining of Episode 3 and most of the justifications the guy can give you happen after Episode 3! Not to mention that kenny brings Clem to the farm, (can) allow her to eat human meat, kills Larry, steals supplies, abandons Lilly and is the one that incentivizes Lee to let Ben die yet the Stranger does not mention him at all. It was terribly frustrating to hear him talk. I don't know what the writers were thinking...

    Nick:

    • He (as all of the cabin crew apart from Luke and Sarah) gave me a terrible first impression. Nick isn't only in favor to kill a random little girl but he also almost shots that girl and thinks that has the right to act like a moron after being advised to be careful. Then later in the Episode he - who chose to not help his uncle - blames the player for leaving Pete!
    • In Episode 2, while being in a precarious situation the guy decides to get drunk! This destroyed all the little respect I had for him, after that he just seemed a completely incompetent person. Then he gives us his backstory which was pretty decent but as he may imagine orphans in a ZA are not that rare...
    • When he shot Matthew I started to hate him. He aimed first, Clem and Luke warned him not to shoot and what does nick do? He shots him. He then argues that his actions were justified which made me completely despise him. He later admits that he was wrong.

I told Walter that Nick was 'jus like everyone else'. I had no desire to get Nick killed, but it happened.

    Kenny:

I was completely obsessed with this character. (Little did i know that I was going to hate him with passion...)

    • Kenny was a decent person in S1's Episode 1. He helped me out after Larry punched me, which was nice c: I also don't blame him for Shawn's death, he was obviously going to help his son right?
    • In Episode 2 he stood pretty neutral the whole episode... until the end. The group (me, Clem and Lilly) decides to try to save Larry but Kenny decides that his way of handling the matter was above everyone else's. he could've had the saltlick ready while Lee and Lilly helped out Larry and if he turned the he could smash his head, Lilly and Lee were taking the risk, not him. He then steals from the car which is a bad thing but it's also understandable since they had been starving for weeks.
    • In Episode 3, he refuses to help me because I didn't help killing Larry! Also saying that I won't get a place on tyhe boat that he demands my help to find is a kind of a dick move.
    • He expects Lee to kill Ben because he made a mistake? And gets pissed if we don't murder him?! Ugh. Oh and I totally didn't save him from that walker in the begining of the episode. "You weren't there for me Lee! Why should I be here for you?!" Oh?! Sorry I didn't help you murder people Kenny! I won't make the same mistake!
    • He later seems to forgive Ben which was nice.
    • "Don't shoot him Kenny!" [Shots him]
    • "Stop Kenny, this plan is stupid" Kenny:"FUCK YOU ALL"
    • "You tried to save my wife? Fuck you Clem!"
    • [Looks at the House for 3.4 seconds] "Where is the food?!" [Starts beating a kid] / "Wait there!" [Arvo does not listen] [Starts beating a kid] / [Arvo mourns his dead sister] [Starts beating a kid]
    • "You killed a baby by accident??? [Murder attempt]
  • Sarah to me was the most annoying, she was always afraid and when things would go bad she would panic. In my view it's what got her killed. Carlos sheltered her too much and never taught her how to deal with these situations or how to defend herself.

  • Oh, I thought you were being serious, @MetallicaRules. I'm sad now.

Nonsense, I don't see this becoming a problem at all, I'm sure everyone is mature enough to handle and respect other people's opinions and will not trash any characters for the sake of starting conflict. What could possibly happen?

  • 1st Place: Troy, the abusive stereotypical henchman.

2nd Place: "Jake, Bart, Linda and all y'all fucking sickos from the Save-Lots!"

3nd Place: Kenny. He is Kenny.

Honorable Mentions: Leland; Roman; Clive; Winston; Randall; Mobjack Scavengers.

Kenny. I appreciate him as a character and I appreciated how much I disliked him and his hypocritical bullshit in season one. He's a heavily flawed and not at all unrealistic character. But I was so happy to leave him behind in season one because I was glad he finally did something decent sacrificing himself to try to save Ben. Then he HAD to show up in season 2 and take over the entire game. Even if you like Kenny, imagine a character you highly disliked from a previous season of a show not only returning, but all but becoming the main character and having the story's tension revolve around him. Not only that, but I felt like he didn't change at all. He just became a more intense and irritating version of season one him, who I already disliked. It was absolutely infuriating, and new characters like Luke and Nick got shafted for Kenny time.

Plus I felt like season 2 kept trying to push that he and Clem had some special bond, and I wasn't about that noise. He and Clem weren't even bordering on close in season one. He almost refused to save her because Lee didn't condone him crush a man's skull in in front of his daughter before even trying to see if they could save him (that was literally the only thing I did against Kenny in season one. I was neutral in his arguments with Lilly and always took care of his family. That's how ridiculous he is. Never mind that he would have gone full murderous rage if that had been Katjaa lying on that floor and someone did that, even if it was to save their own kid outside). If anything, she'd have picked up on the tension between him and Lee. Even when there were options to badmouth Kenny it didn't feel like it stuck, like they expected most of the players to love Kenny and built around it.

I'm just so happy he's gone. I only tolerate Jane but I'd have gone with fricking Troy if it meant I finally made sure my season 3 wouldn't be The Walking Dead: Kenny again.

  • It takes a lot for me to hate a character. The Walking Dead hasn't made me 'hate anyone'. But I really dislike Carley. She never offended me in any way, I just find her really boring. Carley's the only character in the whole series that I even dislike.

I just found her kind of plain.

  • Clementine ;)

  • Larry. Pissed me off from the get go.
Ben. Why'd he have to do that drug smuggling stuff bloody idiot mate

  • Arvo cos he's a piece of shit. Ben was trash too, he would've died in Crawford if Clem wasn't so cool.

  • Jane. She got someone I cared about killed and tried to kill 2 more people I cared about, and then she tried to make me ditch my friends so I can be selfish like her.

  • Props to his different character voices since he also did Omid's voice who is the complete opposite

  • People think she killed sarah (for some reason) and she did try to kill Kenny. Though the other one I dont know.... AJ? Though I dont think she planned to kill him or even hurt him.

Also she always wants clem to leave the group

Can you be more specific? Unless you actually give actual names and situations people won't know what you're talking about.

  • Can I ask why? I mean I dont exactly like Carley all that much either, though I warmed up to her on a full play through where I chose her. However even on my first run through where I thought she was bit aggressive she was never at the bottom of my character list, even discounting villans.

  • She does not want her to leave the group. She advises her that if her group starts going nuts she should leave for her own good. Later in episode 5 she seems to change her mind when she says that she will try to make it work.

It's cool that she realised that she should first try to fix something instead of just leaving it broken and find a new one.

And killing Sarah and AJ is ridiculous, it just did not happen.

People think she killed sarah (for some reason) and she did try to kill Kenny. Though the other one I dont know.... AJ? Though I dont think she planned to kill him or even hurt him. Also she always wants clem to leave the group

  • She is always advising leaving in episode 4 (whether it be sarah, the group etc.) and while she gives it a go in episode 5 she constantly moans on about how "I shouldnt have come back" and then at the end she keeps trying to tell clementine to leave kenny. So I get peoples point, Jane is anti groups and spends most of her time in the game telling clementine to leave the others.

  • I just can't see anything that seperates her from the rest of the group. She had quite a few humorous scenes I'll give her that but I just didn't find her interesting at all.

This isn't really related but it's always frustrated me that Lee can only tell everyone about his past if Carley was alive.

I don't hate her though, just dislike.

Can I ask why? I mean I dont exactly like Carley all that much either, though I warmed up to her on a full play through where I chose her. H

  • I agree that she was anti groups but after episode five she surely canged since she comes back and sticks to the group. She says (once not constantly) tha she shouldn't have com back because coming back made her suffer (she had just lost Luke). She wanted Clem to leave kenny after Kenny destroyed the group that she was trying to fix there's also a lot of other reasons such as Clem own safety and him being unstable but there's a lot of threads discussing that already.

She is always advising leaving in episode 4 (whether it be sarah, the group etc.) and while she gives it a go in episode 5 she constantly mo

  • In retrospective, Carley was pretty stale. Somebody here mentioned once how it would've been good if Carley had an inner conflict during 'Long Road Ahead,' about how easy it is for her to kill without remorse, and how she doesn't recognize herself anymore.

I found it abit weird how she suddenly threw herself at Lee, which made me think she was the one stealing supplies xd
I actually accused her of being the traitor,in the RV before she got shot.

I know bit of a stupid theory, but while playing the game i was 100% sure of it.
