Main villain in the Walking Dead series will be a Zombie?

Do you think there will be an acctual main antagonist in the Walking Dead? Not just in Telltale's games i mean in general in the TV Show and the Comic because the plot is very random right now and focuses only on surviving not counter-attacking the zombies and gain back the areas. I think that if there is an acctual villain it might be a Zombie but not like the other zombies, it will be able to understand what it is doing and talk/control the movements of the other walkers.

  • LOL I'm sorry but that doesn't sound like a possibility heheh.

Like The Governor? How much have you watched?

  • Negan, the Governor, Alpha, Carver. Which main antagonist do you refer to? OP?
And, no. Having some Zombie Overlord would be unrealistic. This isn't Dead Island.

  • I personally believe the main antagonist of all the walking dead is a pancake with the power to drive people to insanity for the desire for a taste until they starve to desth.

Edit: With this, picture i kinda want to show you, how weird it would be if a random zombie, shows up and it turns out he can speak.
I think allot of people would stop watching the series or playing the games, if that would happen because it would be a very weird concept imo.

I must say, you came up with a creative idea :)

But i really do not see that going to work :p

  • The world around them is the main antagonist of the walking dead universe. It shapes the villians, the heros, how they behave, their reactions, whether they're willing to form relationships, if they can eat that day.

It all comes down to the world they exist in, and whether or not they can overcome it.

  • No...just....just no.

I swear to god if I see a zombie firing an RPG at Rick then im out....

  • I couldn't have said it better other than it being a man vs nature, man vs world conflict in the franchise. Even when it is a human antagonist presented it's the cruel and evil of the world that brought them to that point

  • Lol no...The Walking Dead works so well because even though it takes place in a zombie apocalypse...it is the living that you have to watch out for. The walkers are honest...they never hide their intentions, unlike the Governor or even Carver. The walkers are a force of nature that come in and wreck the plans of our heroes and villains equally.

  • Thx Clemenem! :)

  • Read Cell by Stephen king. Sentient zombies have no place in the walking dead.

  • The OP didn't write the post very well, but I understood. He means an antagonist who isn't just there for a season and then dies I believe, if so. Negan's your man pal. Negan is immortal. As for a Sentient Zombie, that'd be kind of cool, if it's done right though. It has to be VERY well written for it to be believable. But personally, I would rather have their antagonist be a human.
