Did you kill or spare the *******?

Did you kill or spare Duncan/Royland?

I spared Duncan. I thought it would save Asher, and he had his reasons, and Gared would be so pissed off with his uncle executed by someone he...basically looked up to his whole life.

  • I killed Duncan without hesitation. I don't care what reasons he had, he committed treason by giving the Whitehills crucial information like Ironrath's numbers, their defenses, and Asher returning. He also freed the entire Whitehill garrison, which caused the death of either Rodrik or Asher.

  • Initially spared Duncan thinking his information could help save Asher. When it turned out to do little difference, I gladly went back and ran him through.

  • I spared Duncan because I didn't want Asher to die. Should've realize this is a Telltale game and it won't make any difference. My biggest regret is not going back and kill him right away, because thanks to that the sentinel died. Which is pretty dumb considering he survives if the traitor is dead. Rip logic.

  • I killed Duncan. I don't think a traitor should just get away with this by telling our plans to the Whitehills and freeing Gryff, too. I also made a promise to Talia to kill him, so...

  • I killed Duncan. He may have deserved a shot at redemption and I believe he regretted it but once he said 'I wish you'd never crawled off that corpse cart' I was ready to kill him. He also caused Asher to die and helped the Whitehills take control of Ironrath. Also Royland dies if you let him live so no way.

I executed Royland for betrayal. He failed Ethan, let him die because of his damn pride. That aggressive man would have pushed the houses to total war from the start. He knew Nothing about diplomacy, nor about wisdom. He called Ethan a weak fool after letting him die. Called me a weak fool. That's why he betrayed us. So that we get even weaker. thanks, Royland, you clearly have a point here. Blamed me for Arthur's death, when there's Nothing you can do to avoid it. Blamed me for taking Duncan to highpoint, when all I needed was a DIPLOMATIC counsellor, and not a lone warrior that loses his self control every minute and transforms peace talks into déclarations of war. Blamed me for not taking the Glenmores to Highpoint, when I wanted Talia and Elissa protected. Blamed me for staying in the mud, knowing that doing otherwise meant that "Talia will meet the same end" as Ethan. Told me I'm unfit to give orders, that "your father would be ashamed and that's the bloody Truth", when I all did was trying to save the rest of the family. Plus, I promised Talia that asked me: "I'm asking as your sister". How could I refuse that little thing anything anyway ;D. Knowing that in EP1 she said to Ethan it would be Wise that someone did as she want for a change. So I clearly realized the man is untrustworthy and his tales about Asher are going to be lies, and that he's only saying that to save himself, as Talia said and understood too. So I had no problem Killing ser Royland Whitehill. A "Whitehill is a Whitehill". Do I need any more reasons to send the foul cur to hell?

  • I spared Royland only because I wanted to hear everything he knew about Ludd's plan, I was ready to torture the fucker. I was also ready to kill him after he gave the information, if the game had alowed me to. Now my Rodrik is wounded and can only count on him and Talia. I will never trust him again though, I am ready to kill him as soon as Season Two starts.
