The creator of the original series talked about wanting to pitch a revival to Disney a couple years ago so it's great to see that they actually gave him the go ahead. It will be a direct follow up and feature most of the same cast.

I bet the X-Men '97 will have some sneaky relation to the usual MCU stuff. They kept claiming that What If was its own anthology thing, and yet it sort of connects to Loki, eventually became an over-arching plot, and I think it's very likely a live-action Captain Carter is going to happen. It'll be under the Marvel Studios banner, and I don't think they've really done a "separate continuity" thing in the past, though a bit with What If.
ANYWAY... I'm glad What If seems to have been such a success. There's so much new MCU animated content that's coming in the future, and that's really awesome!

Since it's a prequel he'll probably be using the homemade suit which was created for Civil War so that might not be too much of an issue. As for the voice yeah I wonder if Tom Holland will do the voice or if they'll get the guy who voiced him in What If?.

The show's supposed to be legal comedy/drama so I guess the new logo is supposed to be reminiscent of stuff like that. I do like the previous logo more, I'm sure there could have been a nice middleground.

There's a new goblin 2:11 that kinda looks like the New Goblin from SM3. I wonder if that's a new GG costume that Norman gets later on or if it's James Franco (which I don't see happening, or a new character. Hobgoblin maybe?
Strange says all the villains died fighting Spider-Man. That's true for the Raimi villains (minus Sandman) but not so much for the ASM ones. I wonder if this means these aren't the exact same characters or if the ASM villains died later on after ASM2.
Peter seems to be trying to actually save them which is super interesting and it looks like he's working with Doc Ock too. I wonder if the trailer is edited to make it look like the villains are attacking Peter and they're actually kind of working together. I don't see Sandman willingly going against Spider-Man after everything.
I'm almost certain the people Strange is holding back at the end of the trailer will be those two coming in. The wide shot of Peter jumping at the villains looks like there's room for two more people. Inb4 it's Bonesaw that comes out of the portal.
I'm surprised they still haven't shown them yet since everyone and their mother already know they're in the movie. Plus it'd certainly help in generating more hype.
You know what? I'll give them props for not showing Tobey and Andrew. I mean, they are a huge deal and I think they are saving them for probably the biggest moment in the entire film when they show up.
Watched the first two episodes of Hawkeye! I thought they were very low stakes but fun episodes, though there is a lot of set up involved. Clint and Kate have some really fun chemistry and they do some interesting stuff with how the events of the films have affected him. Both episodes are fairly lighthearted overall however and you get some pretty funny stuff like the Rogers musical, the Tracksuit Mafia and another thing in episode 2. The fight scenes are pretty disappointing though, they lack any real impact so far and there's too much cutting and shakey cam especially with the first fight. The two episodes also don't really have that hook yet, though I'm still interested to see how things go. Also Lucky the Pizza Dog is a 10 out of 10.
Marvel Music VEVO released the full number from the Rogers musical from episode 1 and it's a fun listen! I kinda wish they did a whole album lol.

The Kate flashback is a great way to show why she looks up to Hawkeye, loved it.
Echo is introduced at the end of episode 2 but she seems to be taking the role of the antagonist. I'm interested to see how she turns into a hero by the end and whether or not the show will include a certain family member of hers.
The LARP was pretty funny with Clint being really confused, disturbed and annoyed by everything.
Glad to see that Natasha's sacrifice having an effect on him.
Of course there are people who think Thanos was right lol.
I like how baggy the Ronin costume looked on Kate. It looks like a Halloween costume.

Watched episode 3 of Hawkeye and I really liked it. Probably my favourite of the bunch so far. Much more action heavy than the previous two but it was all much better choreographed and it was just plain fun. There's even a neat "one take" car chase scene! Echo also gets a proper introduction and she's pretty cool so far! I'm looking forward to seeing how she develop as it goes along. I really like the heavy use of sign language this episode, it's just neat to see.
Next week is the 4th episode of the series, so I wonder if it'll continue with the tradition of the MCU shows having a big moment on their fourth episodes like with WandaVision, TFatWS, Loki and What If?.

A man named "Uncle" is talked about throughout the episode as a person that Hawkeye had faced against sometime during his bout as Ronin, with Clint talking about how dangerous a man he is. You get to see his midriff and hear him chuckle towards the start of the episode. I wonder who it could be???

Our Man Without Fear is BAAAAAAAAAAACK
Hawkeye continues to be good. This episode has a lot more character moments than the previous three, especially for Clint who's still dealing with his PTSD and his time as Ronin. I'm really enjoying how they're portraying the issues he's facing especially since even by his own admission, he's just a dude with a bow and arrow. Of course the episode's not entirely focused on character building, you get a cool fight towards the end with a nice "surprise."

I really like this series so far. Might even be my favourite of the D+ shows if it sticks the landing well.
It's so grounded, small-scale and fairly low stakes. Perfect for Clint Barton.
The first episode I found a bit heavy on character building, and struggled a bit to enjoy Kate Bishop's character. I guess the whole destroying a clock tower was a bit much to introduce her.
But by the second episode I really started to love her. The dynamic between Clint and Kate is golden. Having her talkative, witty personality bounce off of his felt really refreshing for some reason.
And in episode three, ooh, love the character building for Hawkeye and showing his struggle with his loss of hearing (that's recent right? I don't remember it being brought up before this show)
The villain of the series being a deaf person is a super interesting choice, you really don't see that a lot in film. I believe she's the character of 'Echo given the not-so-subtle foreshadowing of that bloody handprint in that one scene... and I wonder what's up with that Uncle of hers. They show us a suit and don't show his face... hmmmmmm

Episode 5 of Hawkeye is out! Really enjoyable episode as usual. There's some more character development for everyone, some cool fight scenes, and of course some revelations. It ends pretty interestingly and I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

Just came back from watching No Way Home. In my humble opinion, the movie is nothing short of amazing. Spectacular even. Maybe even a little sensational. I won't say much cause, I don't know how lol. So I'll keep it short. This is Tom Holland's defining movie as Spider-Man with him giving his best performance as the wall crawler to date in one of the darkest and most emotionally charged MCU movies. Now that's not to say that the movie doesn't have the funny. There's still the signature MCU humour, though more restrained than usual, as well as some really fantastic looking action sequences; along with some cool fanservice. The stakes are high as well, with the movie building off of the events of the previous movies in ways I didn't expect, as well introducing new threats that may or may not have some repercussions for ole' Peter Parker. I have very few complaints, and what complaints I have I'll keep spoiler tagged.
Overall, to me at least, it is the best of the MCU Spider-Man movies so far, along with being one of the best MCU movies. Hell, I wouldn't blame you if you thought this was the best Spider-Man movie in general. This is Tom Holland's defining movie as Spider-Man and I cannot wait to see what they bring to the table next.
By the way, there's a mid-credits scene and one after credits scene.

CHARLIE COX IS BACK BAYBEEEEEEEEEEE
I can't believe they killed off Aunt May. Tom Holland's performance here was exceptional. By far the most emotional acting we've seen from the MCU yet.
Tobey and Andrew were fuckin' awesome in this. I didn't expect them to be in it that much, but they're in a good chunk of it. Seeing all of them diving into battle was something else.
Almost thought they were gonna kill off Tobey there. Thank God it was a fakeout.
Now no one knows who Peter Parker is. Jesus, his life absolutely sucks. This movie has the Parker luck set to the maximum setting.
Loving what I'm seeing of his new suit there at the end, though I wish we got a clearer shot of it.
Tom Hardy's Venom appears at the mid credits scene just to disappear which I found hilarious. Though him leaving a piece of himself in the MCU definitely opens things up for an MCU Venom.
The after credits scene was straight up a trailer for Multiverse of Madness with some sneak peeks at America Chavez as well the surprise reveal of Evil Strange from What If?! Definitely looking forward to this.

And you are totally right. I got the same reaction in my theater when that happened. I totally regret some of the certain opinions I had about a certain character back in the day.
Ok, I am back home so let's talk about major spoilers in No Way Home.
First off, I totally did NOT expect Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil to make a cameo appearance in this film. I did hear rumors of him and his Netflix show being canon to the MCU. That's just makes me wanna watch his show and I am so glad to hear Daredevil fans faint for happiness after the stupid cancellation of the show. I knew it was him right when I saw his glasses. I didn't even need to see him catch a brick (No pun intended) in Peter's apartment.
Doctor Octopus was awesome. Alfred Molina just OWNS that role and I don't think he aged that much. It was fresh to see him actually redeem himself even more than he did in Spider-Man 2. He was only the villain of the first half of the film.
Norman Osborn/Green Goblin got a bigger role in this film than I thought he would. In fact, HE was the main villain of the entire film. There is no reason NOT to say Willem Dafoe is one of the best casting choices for a supervillain in comic book history. He stole absolutely every scene he was in. Him getting rid of his "Power Rangers" Goblin suit was something I never thought I wanted and he got even a better costume at the end. I loved the hoodie and I am glad they kept the dark tone of his character from the first Raimi movie. I was worried he would be toned down but they didn't and it's a huge plus. Do I even need to mention that he also delivered his most famous line from the first Raimi film? "I'm something of a scientist myself. My theater laughed at that moment, I can tell you.
Sandman and Lizard were...ok. They served more as henchmen than as main villains and that's a good thing but I still think they lacked a memorable moment for each character. One thing I really didn't like was reused shots from Spider-Man 3 where Sandman is looking at his hand when he was splashed with water. It was a dumb decision. Why couldn't they show Thomas Haden Church? Does he look different compared to how he looked in 2007? Did they not have the budget to de-age him?
Jamie Foxx as Electro was a surprise for me. I was never a fan of him in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 because he was given the trope of superhero fanatics gona bad, like Syndrome from The Incredibles. I never was fan of that. But I am glad they gave him a redemption and I appreciate this character even more.
Doctor Strange surprisingly didn't have as much screentime as the trailers suggested. He did share his presence in the first half of the film until he gets stuck in a multiverse shenanigan by Peter after the fight with him and comes back in the last minutes of the film to save the day. His solo sequel was given a trailer at the end of the whole credits of the film. I hope it ends up good.
So Aunt May.....I don't think anyone even thought about her possibly dying in this film, especially in MCU. This is like the second time we saw Aunt May's death adapted on the screen, with Spider-Man PS4 being first. First, I thought she was killed when she was hit with Goblin's glider but then she got up like it was nothing but seconds later, she finally falls down. While I was totally shocked that she actually died, I can't help but think her death was a bit...whatever. This has to do with her dialogue which made it sound like she didn't know she was dying. It was weird. She said something like "What's wrong Peter?" or "Are you ok?" or something like that. Or did I hear it wrong? That's probably just a small issue but I dunno. I am still glad that they gave us a scene in which Tom Holland's Spider-Man being completely vulnerable, getting the "With great power, comes great responsibility" advice.
J. Jonah Jameson. I don't think there is much to say because no one can do it better than the mighty J.K Simmons. I'mma guess this is not the same J.Jonah from Raimi's trilogy, despite being played by the same actor? Because it looks like he never came from Multiverse. Nonetheless, worth re-casting J.K. as Jameson.
Finally, let's talk about what we have all been waiting for: Tobey and Andrew. My whole theater went ABSOLUTELY nuts whent they finally appeared on the screen. I also giggled like a fanboy when time has come for them. Every scene with all three Spider-Men together was just heartwarming and I had nostalgia crawling through my whole body. They fucking nailed it. What else is there to say? I used to not be a fan of Andrew Garfield and his Spider-Man films back in the day but after this film, I want to watch them again. I soooo regret giving him a lot of shit. I hate myself from the past. I am so glad to see both of my boys barely even aging and they get a much better conclusion than they did with their solo films, especially The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Still hate that ending). Tobey obviously got old but he still looked pretty amazing and same as he did in his trilogy. Everything about all 3 Spider actors on screen together is just a dream come true. It's also obvious that the Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man meme was completely inevitable, it was referenced when they all work together in a lab.
We should also acknowledge the fact that this film did go on a dark route with the story. Tom's fight with Goblin at the end was brutal, if not even more brutal than his fight with Tobey in the first Raimi film. We finally got to see Tom's Spider-Man getting angry and it was worth the wait. He kicked the shit out of Norman like he really meant it and
Last but not least, the ending is just....devastating. If I'm being honest, this is probably the saddest ending of all the live-action Spider-Man films. Tom lost everything and I mean ABSOLUTELY everything, even worse than Tobey and Andrew. Tobey lost Uncle Ben and Harry Osborn but he still got aunt May and his MJ. Andrew lost Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy but he still got aunt May and people who support his heroism.
And Tom...not only did he lose aunt May but he actually accepted the risk of having EVERY SINGLE HUMAN in this world, even Ned and Michelle, forget who he is, even his alter ego. This is honestly a worse fate than death. A wise man once said: No one is really dead if they aren't forgotten. Tom is completely all alone. No friends and no family. Now the Avengers lost the knowledge of Spider-Man being involved in Infinity War and defeating Thanos. This was such a big risk for Disney/Sony to take. And I like it. It makes me more related to Spider-Man and that's why he is my favorite fictional superhero.
Man, I have been writing this for so long but I think I shared enough of my thoughts. Loved No Way Home, worth the hype and probably my favorite of the "Home" Trilogy. With all the being said, I still prefer Into The Spider-Verse and Spider-Man 2. I am so glad I got to see this in theaters, especially with an ex-roommate of mine.
Okay, yeah, it's not the newest one, but I hadn't seen it in ages and I want to reacquaint myself with Doc Ock (and hopefully summon Tobey Maguire through sheer willpower -- but don't say anything!)
Man, this movie is FUNNY. Both in intentional and possibly unintentional ways.
Whether it's a long, awkward elevator ride with a business man. Or two kids being surprised at Peter doing a flip in the middle of the street. Or even in hilarious sequences like "I'm Back! I'm Back!!... My Back! My Back!..."
This was so fun to watch both for the action, slightly cheezy writing and dialogue, and how endearing the film is towards the people of New York.
Seriously, I underestimated how much this film appreciates camaraderie and fellowship between a group of people in the face of adversity. There's plenty of times where you see people cheering Spidey on, or helping each other in dire situations, or just random characters complimenting Spider-Man on the street.
Plus, that surgery scene in the hospital. WHOA. Some real freaky horror there. I definitely remember being scared of that scene so much as a kid (and skipping it every time I rewatched it)
Speaking of that, it's been a long time since I've seen this, so a lot of the events have slipped my mind. However, just a couple seconds before each scene occurred, the memories each came flying back to me, it was really exciting to rediscover it. I was also impressed by the length, I was so immersed in the film that at one point I was expecting it to cut to the final harbor battle, but no! There was still the iconic train battle and unmasking to do! That was awesome to experience again.
The CGI looks a bit artificial in some spots, but it really shows how far we've come in 17 years.
I've heard that most if not all of the shots of Doc Ock in the new No Way Home are all CGI, but I hope there's at least some practical effects in there. The arms in Spider-Man 2 are actually controlled by puppeteers in close-up shots, and they really breathe so much life and tension into some clicking robot limbs.
J.K. Simmons is also fantastic. He really had a fun time dominating every scene, perfectly slipping into the smooth, slimy persona of J.J.Jameson. I wonder how he might change in the new film, since his fast-talking, cocky attitude was so captivating.
If there's one really major complaint it has to be the constant shots of screaming women (like... wow Sam Raimi. There's one every 15 minutes.) Sometimes there's sequences with tons of them happening, one after the other, or at the same time.
It's really silly and (while I get it's from his horror roots of Evil Dead) I hope he tones it down a bit for Dr. Strange 2.
It's just a buildup of unnecessary padding for some weird "raising the stakes" effect.
Definitely a fun, fun movie.

I'm sure Jon Watts isn't going to make this movie "Spider-Man torture porn", given that he usually goes for "coming-of-age film in an era of superheroes" and if it comes down to it, I doubt the execs at Sony are thaaat stupid enough to bring back the fan-favourite Tobey and Andrew's Spider-men (if they're there at all), only to kill them off, or even then -- in an unceremonious way.
I still haven't watched that... or Luca. Maybe I'll do one, then the other for a tear-dryer hehe.

Pretty much everyone else has said what I was gonna say, but honestly I'm curious to see what that will be like. We've gotten a few dark Spider-Man storylines in the comics, so it will be interesting to see how dark it gets.
Some new stuff got announced today!
Spider-Man: Freshmen Year, an animated series set in the MCU that will explore Peter's early days as Spider-Man, so it looks like it will set before he got recruited by Iron Man in Civil War. Looks like we'll finally be getting to see Uncle Ben die again! Thank fuck, I guess this means Sony isn't pulling everyone's favourite wallcrawler from the MCU.
A Marvel Zombies animated series, which hasn't been made clear what it will be about but I assume will take place after the events of the What If? episode. I hope they let this one go a bit further in terms of violence, that'd be neat to see. Also calm down on the jokes.
Not MCU related, but Marvel nonetheless, X-Men '97, a revival of the 90's X-Men: The Animated Series! The creator of the original series talked about wanting to pitch a revival to Disney a couple years ago so it's great to see that they actually gave him the go ahead. It will be a direct follow up and feature most of the same cast.
Also got some of first looks at Moon Knight, She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel! No official links so I had to post these reposts from some other channel.
Again, not MCU but based on a Marvel property is Baymax! Looks like the series will be more slice of life than superhero-y, with Baymax helping people out.
The Spider-Man annoucnement is definitely the coolest of them, due to the legal reasons.
Disney has the TV rights to the character, but Sony has the film rights and specific character design rights.
I wonder if they'll have allowed the use of Tom Holland and the movie-accurate suit this time, since Marvel Studios had to skirt around that in What If.
I'm not familiar with Moon Knight at all, but I was surprised with how dark and psychologically spooky it looked like. Also Bri'ish Oscar Isaac I think.
Marvel Zombies is also very interesting. The internet says that they're using the old Comics logo, so it could be its own continuity unrelated to What If (personally I would like that, I didn't particularly like the episode too much), or it is related, and it's a placeholder (She-Hulk originally had a comics-accurate logo, but they just revealed it's different now, so...
The rest is cool stuff to get hyped for, though I'm wondering why Moon Knight and She-Hulk were shown as "Coming Soon", and then right after that we've got Ms. Marvel coming in with a definitive "Summer 2022" date. Huh? Are those supposed to be "soon before", or "soon after"?
I bet the X-Men '97 will have some sneaky relation to the usual MCU stuff. They kept claiming that What If was its own anthology thing, and yet it sort of connects to Loki, eventually became an over-arching plot, and I think it's very likely a live-action Captain Carter is going to happen. It'll be under the Marvel Studios banner, and I don't think they've really done a "separate continuity" thing in the past, though a bit with What If.
ANYWAY... I'm glad What If seems to have been such a success. There's so much new MCU animated content that's coming in the future, and that's really awesome!
Since it's a prequel he'll probably be using the homemade suit which was created for Civil War so that might not be too much of an issue. As for the voice yeah I wonder if Tom Holland will do the voice or if they'll get the guy who voiced him in What If?.
Both of them will be releasing before Ms. Marvel afaik. Ms Marvel would be the Loki of 2022, whereas the other 2 will be the WandaVision and the FATWS, time schedule speaking.

Strange says all the villains died fighting Spider-Man. That's true for the Raimi villains (minus Sandman) but not so much for the ASM ones. I wonder if this means these aren't the exact same characters or if the ASM villains died later on after ASM2.
Peter seems to be trying to actually save them which is super interesting and it looks like he's working with Doc Ock too. I wonder if the trailer is edited to make it look like the villains are attacking Peter and they're actually kind of working together. I don't see Sandman willingly going against Spider-Man after everything.

I'm almost certain the people Strange is holding back at the end of the trailer will be those two coming in. The wide shot of Peter jumping at the villains looks like there's room for two more people. Inb4 it's Bonesaw that comes out of the portal.

You know what? I'll give them props for not showing Tobey and Andrew. I mean, they are a huge deal and I think they are saving them for probably the biggest moment in the entire film when they show up.
Watched the first two episodes of Hawkeye! I thought they were very low stakes but fun episodes, though there is a lot of set up involved. Clint and Kate have some really fun chemistry and they do some interesting stuff with how the events of the films have affected him. Both episodes are fairly lighthearted overall however and you get some pretty funny stuff like the Rogers musical, the Tracksuit Mafia and another thing in episode 2. The fight scenes are pretty disappointing though, they lack any real impact so far and there's too much cutting and shakey cam especially with the first fight. The two episodes also don't really have that hook yet, though I'm still interested to see how things go. Also Lucky the Pizza Dog is a 10 out of 10.
Marvel Music VEVO released the full number from the Rogers musical from episode 1 and it's a fun listen! I kinda wish they did a whole album lol.

(Finally) Just finished WandaVision myself! It looks like Disney+ now has a GRAMMY-nominee section, and it's an interesting mix.
Watched episode 3 of Hawkeye and I really liked it. Probably my favourite of the bunch so far. Much more action heavy than the previous two but it was all much better choreographed and it was just plain fun. There's even a neat "one take" car chase scene! Echo also gets a proper introduction and she's pretty cool so far! I'm looking forward to seeing how she develop as it goes along. I really like the heavy use of sign language this episode, it's just neat to see.
Next week is the 4th episode of the series, so I wonder if it'll continue with the tradition of the MCU shows having a big moment on their fourth episodes like with WandaVision, TFatWS, Loki and What If?.

Loved seeing all the trick arrows, especially the Pym particle arrow. That was a fun surprise!
A man named "Uncle" is talked about throughout the episode as a person that Hawkeye had faced against sometime during his bout as Ronin, with Clint talking about how dangerous a man he is. You get to see his midriff and hear him chuckle towards the start of the episode. I wonder who it could be???

Hawkeye continues to be good. This episode has a lot more character moments than the previous three, especially for Clint who's still dealing with his PTSD and his time as Ronin. I'm really enjoying how they're portraying the issues he's facing especially since even by his own admission, he's just a dude with a bow and arrow. Of course the episode's not entirely focused on character building, you get a cool fight towards the end with a nice "surprise."

Wooooo Yelena is back as expected. Interested to see how this misunderstanding will turn out and whether or not she'll turn on Valentina by the end.

I really like this series so far. Might even be my favourite of the D+ shows if it sticks the landing well.
It's so grounded, small-scale and fairly low stakes. Perfect for Clint Barton.
The first episode I found a bit heavy on character building, and struggled a bit to enjoy Kate Bishop's character. I guess the whole destroying a clock tower was a bit much to introduce her.
But by the second episode I really started to love her. The dynamic between Clint and Kate is golden. Having her talkative, witty personality bounce off of his felt really refreshing for some reason.
And in episode three, ooh, love the character building for Hawkeye and showing his struggle with his loss of hearing (that's recent right? I don't remember it being brought up before this show)
The villain of the series being a deaf person is a super interesting choice, you really don't see that a lot in film. I believe she's the character of 'Echo given the not-so-subtle foreshadowing of that bloody handprint in that one scene... and I wonder what's up with that Uncle of hers. They show us a suit and don't show his face... hmmmmmm

Just came back from watching No Way Home. In my humble opinion, the movie is nothing short of amazing. Spectacular even. Maybe even a little sensational. I won't say much cause, I don't know how lol. So I'll keep it short. This is Tom Holland's defining movie as Spider-Man with him giving his best performance as the wall crawler to date in one of the darkest and most emotionally charged MCU movies. Now that's not to say that the movie doesn't have the funny. There's still the signature MCU humour, though more restrained than usual, as well as some really fantastic looking action sequences; along with some cool fanservice. The stakes are high as well, with the movie building off of the events of the previous movies in ways I didn't expect, as well introducing new threats that may or may not have some repercussions for ole' Peter Parker. I have very few complaints, and what complaints I have I'll keep spoiler tagged.
Overall, to me at least, it is the best of the MCU Spider-Man movies so far, along with being one of the best MCU movies. Hell, I wouldn't blame you if you thought this was the best Spider-Man movie in general. This is Tom Holland's defining movie as Spider-Man and I cannot wait to see what they bring to the table next.

I can't believe they killed off Aunt May. Tom Holland's performance here was exceptional. By far the most emotional acting we've seen from the MCU yet.
Tobey and Andrew were fuckin' awesome in this. I didn't expect them to be in it that much, but they're in a good chunk of it. Seeing all of them diving into battle was something else.
Almost thought they were gonna kill off Tobey there. Thank God it was a fakeout.
Now no one knows who Peter Parker is. Jesus, his life absolutely sucks. This movie has the Parker luck set to the maximum setting.
Loving what I'm seeing of his new suit there at the end, though I wish we got a clearer shot of it.
Tom Hardy's Venom appears at the mid credits scene just to disappear which I found hilarious. Though him leaving a piece of himself in the MCU definitely opens things up for an MCU Venom.
The after credits scene was straight up a trailer for Multiverse of Madness with some sneak peeks at America Chavez as well the surprise reveal of Evil Strange from What If?! Definitely looking forward to this.

I thought it was an international premiere on the 17th, but Europe and elsewhere gets it two days early?! Guess I'll have to avoid the internet longer than I thought.
I hope I can survive until saturday which is the day I go see this film with a friend of mine. So far, I heard nothing but good things about the film, so I guess I shouldn't worry too much.
Probably the third best movie going experience of my life, behind Endgame, and seeing a midnight screening of The Room.
My movie theater started jumping and cheering when Andrew and Tobey showed up, it was wild.
Ohhh man, I have yet to even experience that movie, let alone with someone else. That sounds like it would have been a crazy fun experience to see it in a theatre late at night.
It is, seeing it is truly an experience. Just remember that, if you go, don't sit towards the front, or you'll be pelted with plastic spoons. Trust me, it makes sense.

And you are totally right. I got the same reaction in my theater when that happened. I totally regret some of the certain opinions I had about a certain character back in the day.
Ok, I am back home so let's talk about major spoilers in No Way Home.
First off, I totally did NOT expect Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil to make a cameo appearance in this film. I did hear rumors of him and his Netflix show being canon to the MCU. That's just makes me wanna watch his show and I am so glad to hear Daredevil fans faint for happiness after the stupid cancellation of the show. I knew it was him right when I saw his glasses. I didn't even need to see him catch a brick (No pun intended) in Peter's apartment.
Doctor Octopus was awesome. Alfred Molina just OWNS that role and I don't think he aged that much. It was fresh to see him actually redeem himself even more than he did in Spider-Man 2. He was only the villain of the first half of the film.
Norman Osborn/Green Goblin got a bigger role in this film than I thought he would. In fact, HE was the main villain of the entire film. There is no reason NOT to say Willem Dafoe is one of the best casting choices for a supervillain in comic book history. He stole absolutely every scene he was in. Him getting rid of his "Power Rangers" Goblin suit was something I never thought I wanted and he got even a better costume at the end. I loved the hoodie and I am glad they kept the dark tone of his character from the first Raimi movie. I was worried he would be toned down but they didn't and it's a huge plus. Do I even need to mention that he also delivered his most famous line from the first Raimi film? "I'm something of a scientist myself. My theater laughed at that moment, I can tell you.
Sandman and Lizard were...ok. They served more as henchmen than as main villains and that's a good thing but I still think they lacked a memorable moment for each character. One thing I really didn't like was reused shots from Spider-Man 3 where Sandman is looking at his hand when he was splashed with water. It was a dumb decision. Why couldn't they show Thomas Haden Church? Does he look different compared to how he looked in 2007? Did they not have the budget to de-age him?
Jamie Foxx as Electro was a surprise for me. I was never a fan of him in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 because he was given the trope of superhero fanatics gona bad, like Syndrome from The Incredibles. I never was fan of that. But I am glad they gave him a redemption and I appreciate this character even more.
Doctor Strange surprisingly didn't have as much screentime as the trailers suggested. He did share his presence in the first half of the film until he gets stuck in a multiverse shenanigan by Peter after the fight with him and comes back in the last minutes of the film to save the day. His solo sequel was given a trailer at the end of the whole credits of the film. I hope it ends up good.
So Aunt May.....I don't think anyone even thought about her possibly dying in this film, especially in MCU. This is like the second time we saw Aunt May's death adapted on the screen, with Spider-Man PS4 being first. First, I thought she was killed when she was hit with Goblin's glider but then she got up like it was nothing but seconds later, she finally falls down. While I was totally shocked that she actually died, I can't help but think her death was a bit...whatever. This has to do with her dialogue which made it sound like she didn't know she was dying. It was weird. She said something like "What's wrong Peter?" or "Are you ok?" or something like that. Or did I hear it wrong? That's probably just a small issue but I dunno. I am still glad that they gave us a scene in which Tom Holland's Spider-Man being completely vulnerable, getting the "With great power, comes great responsibility" advice.
J. Jonah Jameson. I don't think there is much to say because no one can do it better than the mighty J.K Simmons. I'mma guess this is not the same J.Jonah from Raimi's trilogy, despite being played by the same actor? Because it looks like he never came from Multiverse. Nonetheless, worth re-casting J.K. as Jameson.
Finally, let's talk about what we have all been waiting for: Tobey and Andrew. My whole theater went ABSOLUTELY nuts whent they finally appeared on the screen. I also giggled like a fanboy when time has come for them. Every scene with all three Spider-Men together was just heartwarming and I had nostalgia crawling through my whole body. They fucking nailed it. What else is there to say? I used to not be a fan of Andrew Garfield and his Spider-Man films back in the day but after this film, I want to watch them again. I soooo regret giving him a lot of shit. I hate myself from the past. I am so glad to see both of my boys barely even aging and they get a much better conclusion than they did with their solo films, especially The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Still hate that ending). Tobey obviously got old but he still looked pretty amazing and same as he did in his trilogy. Everything about all 3 Spider actors on screen together is just a dream come true. It's also obvious that the Spider-Man pointing at Spider-Man meme was completely inevitable, it was referenced when they all work together in a lab.
We should also acknowledge the fact that this film did go on a dark route with the story. Tom's fight with Goblin at the end was brutal, if not even more brutal than his fight with Tobey in the first Raimi film. We finally got to see Tom's Spider-Man getting angry and it was worth the wait. He kicked the shit out of Norman like he really meant it and
Last but not least, the ending is just....devastating. If I'm being honest, this is probably the saddest ending of all the live-action Spider-Man films. Tom lost everything and I mean ABSOLUTELY everything, even worse than Tobey and Andrew. Tobey lost Uncle Ben and Harry Osborn but he still got aunt May and his MJ. Andrew lost Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy but he still got aunt May and people who support his heroism.
And Tom...not only did he lose aunt May but he actually accepted the risk of having EVERY SINGLE HUMAN in this world, even Ned and Michelle, forget who he is, even his alter ego. This is honestly a worse fate than death. A wise man once said: No one is really dead if they aren't forgotten. Tom is completely all alone. No friends and no family. Now the Avengers lost the knowledge of Spider-Man being involved in Infinity War and defeating Thanos. This was such a big risk for Disney/Sony to take. And I like it. It makes me more related to Spider-Man and that's why he is my favorite fictional superhero.

It's just a buildup of unnecessary padding for some weird "raising the stakes" effect.
Definitely a fun, fun movie.
