I thought the point of that was getting as many of them as possible by having them all in one place (attacking her). That does happen a lot in movies and it seems effective enough.
Outside and far apart vs inside and clustered. And "far longer"? it took them (collectively I mean) only a couple of seconds to swarm past her. there were dozens in that tunnel bunched together. Throwing it made little difference, and ensured that she couldn't help them later on.
You had seen them simply throw the things outside the cave, and what happened? A couple wights that ran near the explosion were destroyed. This way she held them back far longer AND destroyed more of them.
And I'm not exagerating he throws himself to the wights without killing even one or slowing them down. He just jumps and dies. His purpose? … moreUnknown to me.
How do you know he doesn't kill anyone (well, decapitate or immobilize because you can't kill a wight without fire)? And his purpose? Slow down the wights and give time for Bran and Meera to escape. Pretty simple concept to understand.
We were finally getting somewhere. The children of the forest creating the WW, the tower of Joy, young Ned Stark - everything that had me captivated is now gone.

She is Becca Pramheda, a character in the series 'The 100'. Without spoiling much, my avatar depicts Becca reacting to the consequences of something she created. Erica Cerra (actress) did an extremely good job acting as Becca. It fascinated me.

I actually think the High Sparrow has a massive trick up his sleeve for this confrontation.
Tommen was told a secret by HS right. He tells Cersei about it and then she goes to the Small Council that Margeary is having a walk of atonement. So, it seems that that was the secret HS told Tommen. But why would he trust a mommy's boy like Tommen to keep a secret from his mother? My guess is he planned on word of this reaching Cersei so she could make a drastic decision.
My guess? It's a fake out to turn the Lannisters and Tyrells against each other. Notice how Margaery's hair isn't even cut. I don't think that HS ever planned for her to walk and used it as a threat to get the Lannister and Tyrell armies together to drop a massive bombshell.
Olenna killed Joffery.
Maybe he broke Loras so much he confessed to his family's involvement? If he tells them when both of their armies are together he hopes they will turn on each other even more and leave King's Landing in chaos while he can take advantage and convert the current King to his teachings.

thats what i think too, and his whole "we can overthrow an empire" speech goes right with this theory. and holy shit thanks for reminding me about Loras, yes ive seen this on the internet too, how he told the HS about Joffery and also i did catch how margery didnt have her hair cut, but then again that might just be a continuity fuck up (or Natalie didnt want to cut her hair that short?) so again good on ctching that and putting it on your theory.
