Who was your favorite original character introduced in The Walking Dead: Michonne?
Mine was Randall, because I thought he was a pretty cool antagonist, just like Carver. Even though he didn't last long.
In second place would be Oak. He was a real funny guy, like Omid.
In 3rd place would be Norma. She gave EVERYONE chances and was so generous, even to the people who burnt her home down.
Fourth, Zachary. Even though he accidentally killed Greg, he sought redemption and felt really bad for it. And in my playthrough, he sacrificed himself for Michonne. RIP.

They are the only ones who seemed interesting to me.
Sam, really awesome to me and despite general consensus, I thought she was a great character.
Second would be Oak, he was nice and cool.
Third would be Norma, I like Randall don't get me wrong but I also like to see a more grey and arguably morally-righteous antagonist, so Norma was a great fit there.
Out of all characters, Norma would be my pick. She felt like a breath of fresh air after facing villains such as Carver, Troy, and Randall.
I'd say Randall.
Personally, he didn't effect me the amount of people that he got under their skin, proved how good of a character he was.
I mean you see how many people didn't kill the St. John brothers even though they tried to suck the player into doing it, but Randall was a lot mentally stronger.
Samantha
She is actually my third favourite character ( after Lilly & Ben Paul), out off all the games
Because her character-arch was really well written in my opinion.
I think she is one of the best written characters telltale made so far.
When we first meet Samantha, she might come across selfish / a thief.
But we later learn she had very good reasons for stealing from Monroe, and that she cares about her family allot.
Also I think she is pretty badass the way she knocked out Norma, while jumping down from that roof was pretty cool imo.
And the last scene in the burning house, made her a hero in my opinion because she is willing to safe Michonne at the cost of her own life.
I think Telltale should never made her character, determinant.
She would be the perfect character to have as a protagonist for S3.
Because like I already said in allot of posts on this forum XD
I was really under the impression we where forming her character, with the choices we made as Michonne.
And I really think this would have been an awesome way, to introduce the new protagonist for S3.
Anyway, I just think Samantha is a really well realistic-complex written character.
And if she wasn't in the Michonne series, I really wouldn't have had enjoyed the game.
As much as I did now, because for me Samantha carried the whole Michonne game
Sam without a doubt, with Randall in a close second.
edit: replied to your post by accident
Yeah, I didn't like Pete. In my playthrough, he did NOTHING but criticize me and my choices. Stopping him from leaving, killing Randall, etc. As for the other ones, they didn't have much development.
What about Oak? You have him as your profile pic
Yeah, I thought he was cool.
Yeah.
Holy crap, you just convinced me to stop hating her. I know, I know, you didn't make this post just for that. But you just convinced me.
Yeah, staying with Michonne's daughters or leaving is the worst choice Telltale has done so far.
[whispers] Pete isn't original. Just saying.
whispers I know. I'm just saying I don't like him.
That could be just because they took a screen of him staring at the player.
I'm laughing at that thought.
The only thing I can think of that justifies this odd choice is that it could give the players a reason to risk Sam's life by having Michonne stay longer than necessary inside the burning building, in the off-chance that they didn't like Sam to begin with.
Norma, without a doubt.
As others have said, it was refreshing to stumble upon a survivor who served the role of antagonist, without coming across as evil. She was recurrently shown to be a reasonable, forgiving, yet cautious person, and held the second chance rule as her moral compass. I don't feel like elaborating to be honest, but I did enjoy her stay in the miniseries.
Good point. I never thought she was reasonable since episode 2 but in episode 3, it was disproved. Telltale definetly failed to make her antagonistic, Randall did the job instead.
I was a really big fan of Oak. Even though he didn't get a lot of screen time, he seemed to be pretty fleshed out, and reminded me of some of the Season 1 characters with how they had a down-to-earth personality with humanity and hints of optimism while still also being compitent and capable enough to carry themselves in the fall of society.
Plus it's Oak. World's Best Mom, British extraordinaire.
The problem comes in the route that Norma kills both Oak and Zachary, because it encourages those who dislike her to dislike her even more, while ignoring that she was willing to negotiate in the first place. I've legitimately heard people say that she was sick in the head and needed to be dealt with or all the groups that she encountered would wound up like the ferry scavengers.
Speaking of which…
I agree. Norma was so generous and she didn't deserve the death she got at all.
Definitely not.
Because I already saw someone with a Sam picture, and someone with a Randall picture, so I decided to go for Oak because he's cool
And he just wanted people to give him two minutes.
Randall is just too hard for me to dislike. He had just enough depth to make me care about him.
Oak was the man too, I just wish we got some more scenes with him.
I think my favourite was probably Zachary to be honest. Yes, he made a mistake and shot Greg but he was being pressured by Randall. That's no excuse but he didn't mean to do it and he regretted it and if spared, he not only helps Michonne and co. escape, he then sacrifies himself to save Michonne.
I liked the boat crew. Pete was great in episode 1 but did lack some charm and charisma. I definetly got the feeling that he was into Michonne and if it wasn't for the fact that Michonne had to return to Ricks group, I get the feeling he would have been more fleshed out and something may have happened between the two there but I also really liked Siddiq. He didn't get much screen time unforunetly but he seemed like a really good guy that wasn't afraid of anything. Would love to know what he was going to say on the radio before he got cut off. Then Oak and lastly Berto just because I really didn't feel we got to know Berto very well before he died.
Sam grew on me alot too. I didn't really like her much after the first episode but she managed to change things around.
Norma made me anxious IRL when I had to lie. Bruh.
I liked greg and john but they got killed which sam shoot randall in ep 3 to avenge their deaths.
...
Randall.
Samantha grew on me for sure, as well as her little bros. I wanted to protect all 3 of them.
Oak and Pete are also total bros.
Guess it's time to bring out the painful opinion again.
Mine's Paige, but mostly because her character design looks cool. Personality-wise, I think she ends up as fleshed out (if not more so) as Sam, Michonne and Norma.
I liked Oak.
Even though I think that Randall deserved worse for what he did, I ended up liking him the most out of the cast. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I feel the same way, don't worry.
Zachary. I wanted to know if Jonas survived the chaos too, if he saw what Norma did to Zachary etc. We could've taken him in, to Alexandria, Hilltop, Oceanside.
I think Jonas can die too.
Only if you kill Zachary in Episode 1, he can.
My favorite character in twd michonne are sam greg and john but john should have more screen time if he wasn't kill by randall in ep 2.
