This is only a teaser, we don't know the full extent of the story just yet.

  • Okay? I'm just saying we don't know if it's a "classic fetch quest storyline", you don't need to be rude about it.

  • That's how most zombie stories go if it's not a survival game. They are fetching supplies, shelter, safety, or usually people. But then again this is TTG: TWD, a lot of the story can change from now till then. who knows Maybe Javi gets replaced with Kenny.

And yeah I realized it sounded rude after I posted it, my apologies.

  • Wow I never noticed Clementine's missing finger.... I guess not everyone is invincible :/

  • Maybe she got tired of the finger and cut it off?

  • Maybe she was fighting someone and that person was so triggered that he had to get back at her... apparently her finger.

  • That sounds like a mark of the beast. Interesting nonetheless. Maybe Javier escaped from those guys and now has to hide from them.

So anyone have ideas for what the symbol means. Im guessing the villains of the season are slavers and they brand people with that mark.

  • Except he's been announced as the second playable character, so to change him, would be very bad on TTG part.

One thing i noticed is at the end of the trailer you see fire, this could be something to symbolise the fire used to heat up a branding iron that was used to mark Javier and the walker.

  • There's only one character I know who brands in the comics, but I doubt it's them.

I must admit, it's kind of a neat concept. Reminds me of the Wolves' 'W's'.

They look too scarred to be tattoos, whatever group both the walker and Javier are from most likely brand their members to identify themselves easier or it's some sort of cult/ritual.

  • Long-time (mostly) lurker here, just wanted to say that Javier's shirt kinda looks a bit like a baseball jersey to me. Dunno if it means anything or whatever. Just found it interesting!

  • I mean...Brainerd, Minnesota is an actual city. So it's entirely possible. Except for the crossover! Which I suppose isn't impossible, but yeah.

  • You may have hit the nail on the head! Minnesota is just a few states away from where Wellington is meant to be, so it's entirely possible Clem could have ended up there!

  • Question: why the hell did Clem shoot that zombie? she wasted a bullet on barely one and the sound will draw more.

  • I dunno, it didn't look like they had any melee weapons on them. Maybe they were trying to draw out walkers, maybe it was a nice shot for the trailer. Maybe they have an excess amount of ammunition and find no reason to further endanger themselves. The world may never know.

A few reasons why she shot the zombie:

    1. It was the only weapon she had to defend herself
    2. She had extra supplies of ammunition, if you notice after she shoots the Zombie Javier gives her another clip in which she reloads.
    3. The writers though it was a cool way to introduce the trailer.

Personally I go with option 3.
