This Will Not Be Clem's Last Season.

In issue 160 Letter Hacks, Kirkman states:

“Clementine’s story is far from over in the telltale games, so until that happens , it’d be hard to involve her, or anyone else, in the comic series….”

  • Well no duh. She is the main character.

  • They meant that Clem's story will continue in New Frontier. They were not hinting at future Seasons to come.

Isn't it curious, though, that Kirkman said that they cannot incorporate Clementine in the comic series until after her story is over at Telltale, suggesting that it would be possible to do so after her story is over at Telltale and that she will, in turn, not be dead?

  • Ugh, I despise the idea of Clementine in the comics.

  • If TellTale at some point has taken her as far as they think possible...then I would not be sad to see her in the comics...she could do the cargo runs from Alexandria to say Wellington and all parts North. She obviously would not be a comic regular but she could be used every so often...of course I would prefer this after at least 5-20 more series...but hell I am greedy.

That seems like a fitting ending for once the Game of the Year Character. It seems modest and give us the sense that her life is going to be normal.

  • VIVA LA CLEMENTINE!

  • Please refrain from overusing large texts please.

Key word being overusing. But thanks for enforcing the law, law enforcer.

  • Just like that; not dying?

How did The Wolf Among Us, Tables from the Borderlands and Michonne all end?

Telltale have said Javier is more of the main character in season 3, as can be seen in the big post in the waiting thread.

  • She'll probably get killed off if she appears in the comics.

  • Michonne still survived the miniseries, and she was the playable character.

  • Well as normal as living in the apocalypse can be.

You are not getting the point, at all.

Telltale playable characters can remain alive by the end of a series; nothing that you've said proves otherwise.

  • Agreed

  • In all honesty if Clementine goes into the comics in anyway I would imagine they would stick her at Oceanside. Oceanside is a very convenient way to connect the telltale series to the comics as the comic has mentioned Oceanside's existence but Oceanside really plays no part in the comic story up to this point (it is just a community they trade with).

If one day they go to Oceanside in the comic they could just show Clementine in the background and it would simply be an easter egg to those who played the game letting them know she is still around.

That doesn't sound bad. I can see it now.

( Michone and Aaron are sent to Collect some fish from Oceanside. They go to the trader to exchange their resources in a bartering exchange. Which turns into a heated argument.)

Michone: We delivered over our end of the trade. We didn't come this way to come back short.

Oceanside resident: The catch has been poor. I'll watch the tone, sister. We have our own problems with distributing food with our own people this time of the year. Plus, walkers got into our livestock. Even killing old Bessy, the farmer.

Clem: Alvin, no! I know your hungry, but you'll be able to eat soon. I'll find us some nice deer and acorns. I promise.

(Clem picks up A.J. and walks back into their Cabin. Michone looks at Clem and thinks back to the cruelty of the new world that they live in)

Michone: That kid with the baby is all alone?

Resident: She been out there more than anyone I know. She seems to have a unnatural will to inspire people to do great things. She's our future Ocean Navigator. She'll connect the world once more.

  • TellTale seems to want us to move on, so this could be Clementine's last season IF things go according to their plan. However if fans are vocal enough, we can determine how things will ultimately go. Like if fans in the majority rejected Javier then this will be his last season. I'm not against Javier, though. I just don't want to be done with Clementine yet. I feel like this game series has the potential to last at least 5 seasons, and I want to see Clementine grow as a character. I want to see her develop new relationships with people that we had a journey with over the course of seasons.
