400 Days Characters in A New Frontier
Ok, so the 400 Days characters were pretty much useless (except for Bonnie of course). Maybe the ones who did not go to Carver's camp will meet you in Season 3? Or maybe the ones who did? Before I played Season 2 I thought you would meet whoever did not go with Tavia (mostly because I really wanted to chill with Vince ). What do you guys think?

Well, we'd just get the same exact thing that "In Harm's Way" gave us if it were dependent on who went to Carver's camp and who didn't as per our choices. The determinant nature of it all simply negates the possibility of any of them becoming major players in a new story. Well, unless Telltale were to go balls to the wall with making our past choices matter, which seems unlikely. They probably want to put as much focus as they can on the future, rather than mess around with the past.
I suppose a simple way to bypass that would be to just have the characters (sans Bonnie, obviously) meet up again off-screen and then have them show up in our story, this time with an actual plan for them. The problem then would be having to accept the idea that they all just happened to meet again despite potentially going their separate ways to different parts of the country.
Anything's possible, but I don't see it. I've just started to acknowledge 400 Days as that thing that was a thing a few years back, but is now in the past.
Telltale's track record isn't good with determinant characters. I keep hoping they actually pull something interesting off, but they haven't so far.
Because we really need another thread about this. I'm personally kinda hoping Taavia and Becca might be utilized, but I doubt it for the others. Except Eddie and/or Nate, unfortunately.
Have you played game of thrones?
Nope. Walking Dead is the only Telltale game I really care about.
I got WAU on a sale and played it once though.
But game of thrones only has one season no? So any determinant characters there could still go bye-bye in the next one.
I think the boring nothing characters from 400 Days should stay out of the experience. They had their boring nothing run, but I'd like for the focus to be kept on Javier and Clementine.
There's already more than enough stuff for the story to focus on without it disengaging itself just to show boring nothing Vince, or boring nothing Wyatt, or boring nothing miniature Lee (whatever the fuck his boring nothing name was).
I'm sure there are lots of duplicate topics. With new members and no search function what do you suggest?
I agree with Everyone's Clementine. Some of them were not very interesting. Shel and Bonnie were the best characters. And there are too many outcomes concerning who went with Carver. I'm satisfied seeing how the developers handle the Jane or Kenny choice.
I don't know, maybe looking through the first 5-10 pages for recent topics? Sorry if I came off a bit brusque, but it kinda annoys me when threads of the same general topic of a limited scope gets started with an extremely similar or especially greater scope topic exists for relevance.
Agreed, though I do think Taavia, Becca, and even Nate had enough potential to be worth bringing back.
Well someone clearly hasn't saved Ben.
Trust me: a lot of episode 6 plays out very differently depending on a choice in episode 5.
And the season ends with a massive possible change due to spoilers offer and it's going to have to be a very large plot point in the next season.
Tavia I think will be brought back. She's not determinant and had arguably a pretty big role as a 400 Days character.
She might be a new leader for those who survived the horde.
